So glad Cuco's opened this location. Came in for lunch. Had the regular burrito with shredded chicken. Ordered using the kiosk but there is also a lady at the register who can take your order. The restaurant was clean and parking was easy. Staff bring your food to your table and you get free chips. Staff was kind. Burrito was delicious, the tortilla was good and the chicken was tender and flavorful.

Had a chance to finally try cucos and overall it was a great experience! If you are looking for authentic Mexican food with a twist I feel this is a great spot. This joint is also very vegetarian and vegan friendly. We ended up placing an online order for pickup and got the following items: * Al pastor California burrito - this burrito was massive yet delicious. So flavorful. The Al pastor was a little bit sweeter than I wanted and I wish the fries were a little crispier but overall the burrito was yummy * de chipotle burrito - this came with pulled chicken and this creamy chipotle sauce which was delicious. This was one of the specialty burritos and we are super happy we tried it!!

Have seen Cuco's take over this little spot for a few months now and finally stopped by! Definitely one of the best burritos I've had since moving back home!! I've actually never walked into this restaurant spot for as long as I remember, but it's such a cute place and it's nearby me. Love how they decorated the interior and included information on Cuco's history. Pretty quick ordering and service too. Ordering is pretty convenient, you can use the ordering kiosk and they include all the ingredients per menu item. We got the carne asada super burrito and al pastor super burrito. Both included the choice of protein, choice of beans (black beans, pinto, or refried) monterey jack cheese, rice, pico de gallo, avocado sauce, sour cream, and spicy sauce (on the side is available). Everything is pretty customizable so you can take out certain ingredients if you don't like it. Came with salsa and chips on the side! Super good flavors for both, I found actual pineapple pieces for the al pastor and that's 10/10 for me. I got mild spicy on the side and it's this refreshing green sauce!!! My husband got medium spicy and it had a good kick. Love that it's vegan/vegetarian friendly and definitely coming back to try their other menu items like the ones with mole sauce.

4 stars for the food + 1 added star simply because of the hospitality. Cucos Burritos is located close to home and I drive by daily. With the last establishment closing and Cucos revamping what used to be Tacos El Rancherito, my sister and I eagerly made the 10 minute walk to check them out. The vibrant colors of the signage and building are long gone, leaving us with a more tamed look with black bold letterings. The interior is spacious- still offering patio seating along with interior accommodations. The menu offerings are good but don't leave you excessively overwhelmed. Here you will find breakfast, tacos, burritos, & quesadillas. Extra points for Cucos' vegetarian & vegan options. Dinner for 2 included: *Bottled Mexicoke *Cafe De Olla *Barbacoa Taco *Asada Taco x2 *Pastor Taco x2 *Pollo Taco *Chips Y Salsa [complimentary] Food is good. The house-made chips are probably some of the best I've had- somehow lowkey resembling Fritos corn chips?? These babies aren't your average basic tortilla chips, there is extra love and care being put out to make these- see pics for actual seasonings dusted on top. The tacos are small in size but perfect IMO. Meat vs tortilla ratio is great and you aren't being served cheap, fatty cuts of protein. I left here completely satisfied without feeling sick or too heavy due to oiliness. Meats were cooked well aside from the chicken being dry. This was my first time having cafe de olla & man was I blown away. Who would have thought a cup of coffee could taste so damn good? Having said that, the coffee was sweeter than I preferred. Be advised that the sweetness cannot be adjusted due to the coffee being premade. Cucos Burritos comes highly recommended due to the convenient location, the authentic-ness of the food [from an Asian's standpoint], not leaving you uncomfortable & regretting life's decisions that sometimes occur when you dining @ certain businesses. The friendly staff|management just adds to the positive vibes. Definitely give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Located in East San Jose, parking is plentiful and easy to find. There's plenty of indoor seating. Service is great. Water is shortly after you're sat and yes chips and salsa. The bathroom is clean and there's also corn hole in the back too which was cool. Al Pastor Burrito (5/5): so freaking delicious. The meat was tender and juicy. The pineapple caught me by surprise but very unique. The wrap and overall presentation was perfect. Mild had a good kick Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, Cucos Burritos is a delicious place for some Mexican food. Service is spectacular and food is 10/10.

I searched up vegan food on DoorDash and this place popped up, seen the reviews and I was sold lol I ended up ordering the vegan California burrito and it was divine! It tasted so darn good! Im definitely ordering from here again! I bet it tastes 1000x better if I ate it in person too.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Redwood City location of Cuco's and I've had it over 15 times, so I was absolutely delighted to see that they expanded to San Jose and I'm super happy for them. I've tried their super burritos, California burrito, breakfast burrito, tacos, etc. Everything is fantastic but my usual go-to is the super burrito with carne asada. Their burritos have some of best presentation I've seen - beautifully and perfectly wrapped every single time. The ingredients go so well together in the burrito and pack a punch of flavor every time. The tortilla is extremely fresh and probably one of the best I've had and really sets them apart. Service was amazing, they checked in on us during the meal and were super warm and friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating both available. Clean and beautifully decorated as well. Will absolutely be coming back!

Ordered delivery from this restaurant after seeing some reviews on instagram and it did not disappoint! The burritos were so good, priced very well for the size and taste! I am definitely coming back and recommending to everyone that i know. Carne asada with refried beans spicy was what i got and it was so flavorful! Perfectly cooked! And grilled chicken was amazing as well. Chicken flavorful!

Chile verde quesadilla -- epic flavors! Includes fresh, outstanding, TASTY chips & salsa.

If you're looking for something casual, authentic and delicious, with ambience & prices that that fall between your basic hole-in-the-wall taqueria and those "fancy Mexican" sit-down places, Cuco's Burritos is freakin' legit! Their recipes deliver amazing flavors, and they use ultra high quality ingredients including handmade tortillas. Reasonable prices, generous portions, locally family-owned with a long history in the Bay Area. They've just opened their new San Jose location after many successful years running their Redwood City location... I went to their SJ grand opening a couple of months ago and was hooked. I grew up on the Mexican border and have eaten at plenty of Mexican restaurants on both sides of the border, as well as restaurants in the interior of Mexico that are off the tourist-beaten path. I've even enjoyed many home-cooked meals at kitchen tables in Mexico. What I'm saying is that I know the difference between great, fresh, authentic Mexican flavors and the mediocre to "good enough" Mexican food you can find anywhere around here, made with inconsistent recipes, cheap or canned ingredients, Costco tortillas & bulk chips, etc. All that said, Cuco's is some of the best Mexican food I've ever had! Pictured is their amazing chile verde quesadilla... even the included chips and salsa were fresh and excellent, and having a full glass bottle of water to pour from instead of a paper cup and straw was a classy touch.

Decent sized burrito! Good flavor but slightly salty so you may need more hot sauce. Recommended giving it a try!

I paid $13 before tax for this in the hood. Look at the size and how thin that thing is. Was excited to try this spot because I live a block away, but inflation hit the hood

    - California burrito de chorizo (top) - regular pastor burrito and they were both SO GOOD
    Levi J.

We got the California burrito de chorizo (top) and the regular pastor burrito and they were both SO GOOD. 10/10. Crazy. Even tried a bit of their mole sauce and it was fire, of course. Staff is super friendly too. Highly recommend!

Cucos Burritos definitely hits the spot serving authentic Mexican burritos just had their grand opening day last month. Was going down there last weekend until I saw a long line of people waiting by the door. Came by on a Friday morning which seems to be the best time greeted very warmly by the staff employee. Looking over the menu I chose a regular size tofurizo burrito a healthier vegan alternative to pork chorizo full of beans, rice, salsa sauce, cheese, onions, tofu seasoned with bold spices along with a cup of olla a traditional Mexican spiced coffee brewed in a clay pot. So glad to dine-in server brought over a tortilla chips a cup of salsa and a pitcher of water and cup no need for refill. I was blown away when she brought over the burrito nicely wrapped more like super size with generous portions OMG it's enough for two people they were so kind and very attentive definitely a place for authentic Mexican meals. They even have an outdoor seating and a large parking lot with a few surrounding business. Their burritos is real hit would definitely be back so support your local business.

You can pick different combinations from the menu, but some choices are considered premium and come with an additional fee. We went with the spicy chicken and beef tofu soup. It came with a bowl of rice, and the portion was enough for two people. The chicken was a little on the dry side and the tofu soup was missing some depth of flavor, but for the price it was good enough!

It is next to the Hui Lau Shan, which is great when we want dessert after This restaurant is very unique, as most of the dishes main component is mushrooms, which provide a different umami taste than regular dishes. We have tried the crispy silkworms, tom yum fried chicken, beef noodle soup, mushroom hot pot, chicken liver pate and yao tiao, laksa fried rice, stir fry cheung fun, wild mushroom conserva. Out of everything, I definitely recommend the tom yum fried chicken, mushroom hot pot and the laksa fried rice! Although the fried chicken doesn't have tom yum flavor, they fry the chicken very well, and the tom yum dipping sauce is on pointtt. The mushroom hot pot is definitely a favorite of mine. They give a lot of food -- it is warm, comforting. The broth also has a lot of flavor as well. The fried rice is definitely a top fave. They do a wonderful job incorporating the wok hei, which not a lot of restaurants can do. It is very present throughout the rice, and elevates the rice past the laksa flavor. The pineapple was a great touch and give it a hint of sweetness. I would pass on the wild mushroom conservative. It feels like they just stirfry it in butter, and that was it. I like the silkworm, but I know it's not for everyone. It is crunchy and it tastes kind of like peanut butter LOL. it is a great appetizer. I'm glad this place offers it. I think I've gotten a couple drinks -- alcoholic, and non-alcoholic. Also one of their ice creams. They didn't really leave a standout impression on me but still good to try!
