This place is a huge favorite of me and my sister. The restaurant is a good size and it's never empty but the service is also very quick and the wait staff are super friendly. We love how fresh the sushi is and since it's all you can eat, they do not skimp on the amount of fish you're getting and the rice portion of the nigiri isn't huge at all. We came by on a Saturday right when they opened and a bunch of people were waiting with us for them to open. We were seated quickly even though there were many parties coming thru at the same time. It became a full house pretty quickly. We did the lowest tier/pricing for AYCE. Got the bulgogi fries and chicken karaage. I wasn't a fan of either really. We ordered three sushi rolls and they ask if you want full or half portions which I really like. Gives you the opportunity to try different rolls without the full commitment of a whole one if you end up not liking it or you can order more if you do! Aside from the regular salmon, I also enjoy the cajun salmon and the paprika seared salmon (imo I don't really taste the paprika, but the seared part is yummy). I usually try not to order rolls, but the Red Velvet and Lemon X Salmon were both 7.5/10. Tried the cheapest all you can eat. The food overall was good, lots of choices, and good value for $35 a person. The only thing I didn't like was their veggie tempura because the batter was too thick and the veggie inside just didn't have the right cook to it. Went to Its Sushi (AYCE) after Tahoe trip and had a great experience overall. First of all, they have waitlist system to put your party number and name down. I heard the wait could go up to 1+ hours on a busy day. Luckily, we went at 8:00 pm and got seated at 8:30pm. There are three pricing tiers. We got the most expensive one so we could try Uni. We didn't regret getting the most expensive one but be aware that there are items that you can only get 1 serving per person like Uni and sweet shrimps etc. I think my friends and I all agree that next time we will just do second tier and still be very happy and satisfied. Some nigiri highlights are: 1. Sweet shrimp, big fresh and delicious. 2. Salmon belly, it was seared but really good. Would even be better if it's not seared. 3. Unagi, decent and good charred aroma. 4. Not nigiri but tasty Grilled yellowtail collar, cooked perfectly that's still moist inside. Some items that could be better: 1. Craved ayce sushi so stopped by here. Everything was extremely fresh and portion size was perfect. Rice to fish ratio was great with it being minimal rice. Standouts were the garlic tuna and salmon, mayo scallop, salmon belly, and good ole plain tuna and salmon. Tried some seasonal items in the truffle salmon and salmon puff (inari). It was very quiet around 12:45 pm to 1:00 pm and the big crowd started to come in by 2:30 pm and peak at 4:30 pm . Today is Saturday and we expect a lot of people . The place was pleasant and organized but not very big like other buffet restaurants. Great service and the food are excellent. The size of the rice was so tiny like 1/3 of a cotton ball .Thickness of the raw fish was on the thinner side . They were super fresh , delicious and all you can it so it did not matter . The menu has 3 different course to choose from for 3 different prices . Menu was color coordinated. You could order AYCE for the same color of items . We chose the green B course . Some exclusive items were one order per person , that include : grilled hamachi Kama , deep fried soft shelf crab , salmon belly , etc We ordered lots of sushi ( tuna , salmon , yellow tail ) and I got a cucumber salad with vinegar and a regular lettuce salad , miso soup and lychee sherbet. Between the 3 of us . We ate 60 orders ( 2 pc each ) that is 120 pc of sushi ! Our server Chloe is nice , cheerful and she definitely made our dinning experience better . I've been hearing good things about Its Sushi and got a chance to try it for lunch on Saturday. Luckily, we got a parking spot in front and there was no wait for a table. This was our first time dining here and there were a lot of good and a few things that were mixed. They let us order 2 different types of buffet, A & B. I got the B, which was $39.95 and included nigiri and some of the daily specials - shiroi salmon, puff salmon, and salmon kama. For the nigiri, I ordered all salmon and yellowtail and they were really good - salmon belly, garlic salmon, salmon, yellowtail, and yuzu yellowtail. You can only get 1 order of salmon belly, but no limit on the rest. The soft shell crab and poke salmon were both good. Oddly, the spicy garlic edamame was extremely good and one of the best choices! From buffet A, we got half of the shrimp lover roll, half of the rainbow roll, bulgogi, salmon teriyaki, katsu chicken, mini udon, fried rice, and cheese corn. He enjoyed all of it. We both liked the salmon avocado handroll. I didn't really care for the puff salmon...it wasn't what I expected. The salmon kama was below - part of it was dry, but the other half was okay. The miso soup was light and didn't have strong miso flavor. The seafood dynamite was alright - mini scallops and mushrooms. For dessert, we had ice cream and sesame balls. The sesame balls were steaming hot and good. I loved the lychee ice cream. It was so refreshing! Our waitress (Chloe) was one of the nicest, sweetest waitresses ever. She always had a smile on her face and took time to answer questions or explain menu items. Some of the not common menu items need a description under them - Who's Your Daddy? and Monkey Brain. Back again for AYCE Course B for my birthday month celebration with ye olde coworkers group. The nigiris are top-notch, softshell crab, half rolls, hamachi kama, even deep fried unagi and puff salmon inaris. The yuzu and lychee sherbets are refreshing, and they also have green tea ice cream and Melona bar flavors. Their special dessert was an ube ice cream with a mini taiyaki. There is a time limit for each party and there was a bit of a wait. If one of your party members isn't there, the time starts anyway but if you give up your table then you risk a longer wait. One of our favorite AYCE sushi spots! I chose course b out of the 3 courses provided, and there were so many delicious choices to choose from! I highly recommend their nigiri, the portion size and the fish to rice ratio is just perfect! My bf and I love their salmon. We only order salmon. Unless we come with friends lol!! My favorite got to be the Cajun salmon nigiri, which is salmon nigiri marinated in cajun sauce and lightly seared topped with fried onions. Another favorite is the salmon belly, which they limit the orders to per person, along with their Paprika seared salmon nigiri, which is like similar to the cajun salmon but with paprika and topped with green onions. Their handrolls are so delicious and fresh. They dont contain too much rice, and they come out quick! My friends love the grilled yellowtail collar, its super juicy and always smells soo good. Whenever I stop by the galleria to do some shopping or play games at Round 1, I make it my mission to grab dinner at It's Sushi right after! It's Sushi is one of those places where if someone were to ask me what I wanted to eat, I'd immediately think of it. It's a perfect date spot and for hanging out with friends! When you arrive, you will always see some people hanging outside and a full waiting area. It's recommended that you put yourself on the waitlist because simply walking in would make it impossible to get a seat. The restaurant is on the smaller side but is always packed to the brim, but the wait is so worth it. The most I've waited to be seated was around 30-40 minutes, but it's not long if you have someone to talk to. Once you receive your alert that your table is ready, the staff will seat you and provide menus. The staff is always super friendly and will ask if you've been there before. As an experienced It's Sushi customer, I already know which option to pick and what fish choices I want already. I opt for option B, which gives you access to the nigiri section. I'm all about getting my money's worth, so I order the most food I can per round. You can place 10 orders of nigiri at a time, and each order is 2 pieces. I also like to start with a miso soup and a grilled yellowtail collar as it's really tender and juicy. For nigiri, I'm a fan of the regular and garlic salmon, regular and yuzu yellowtail, super white tuna, and regular tuna. The fish quality is absolutely amazing, and it's consistent every time I order it. The size of the rice is superb, it's so small and it doesn't fill you up like how other restaurants would make it, so it's a nice touch. As for the service, the staff check in with you frequently and ask if you would like to place another order when it seems like you're running low on food. They are also open to any questions you may have and are very knowledgeable of the menu. When it comes to the waiting time between orders, depending if it's busy or not, it could be 15-20 minutes. It's Sushi offers delicious AYCE sushi for a great price and it does not disappoint. The quality of the food and the fantastic customer service they offer makes it a wonderful place to come back to. This is my go-to sushi place in Sac. We always get the AYCE option and load up on the nigiri - the absolute stars of the entire menu. The fish to rice ratio is glorious; they do not skimp out on the cuts of fish at all. My favorites of the nigiri are the yuzu yellowtail and the salmon. These two are easily the best out of them all (and the seared salmon belly, but this is only one order per person). In my opinion, the rolls themselves aren't too noteworthy. But I do check out any specials they have written on the board. We sprinkle in a few of the hot kitchen/appetizer items just to break through the routine of all the raw fish. Some notable items are the takoyaki and baked mussels - also the lychee sorbet for dessert. The staff have been great every time I've visited, too. Once, during a really busy rush, a waitress noticed that we've been waiting for our order for a long time and checked on our items for us. Another time, a waiter gave us a giant bowl of ginger after we requested refills. The latest time, our waitress advised us that the item we ordered wasn't very popular and suggested that we only get one just to try it out first -- and she was a saint for that! This was my second time at this establishment and it always gets better and better. We came at lunch and it was not too busy. As soon as we sat we were greeted and given ice waters, which was amazing because it was such a hot day. Our server was very knowledgeable and explained the menu with the different dining options available because at first glance it can be confusing for some people. You can tell the chefs give their 100% because all our sushi pieces came out perfect. We played a little competition between our friends to see who can eat the most and myself and 4 other friends ate around 300 pieces. They all included: salmon nigiri, smoked salmon nigiri, paprika salmon, yuzu yellowtail, soft shell crab, mayo scallop, shrimp nigiri, spicy garlic edamame, miso soup, shiro salmon, tuna steak salad, coconut shrimp tempura, takoyaki, which were all spectacular. At the end we were recommended the lychee sherbet and green tea ice cream and they were delicious. The restaurant inside was very spacious, clean, and well kept. Overall my experience here today including last year was nothing but the best. They serve squid, which I rarely find at other all you can eat sushi places! Plus they slice slots into the top of the squid so that it is easier to chew. Talk about chef cutting skills! The service is good, kind of depends on time of day. Sometimes you get a waiter who is super on top of things and keeps the food coming. Sometimes you get a waiter who disappears, meaning you finish eating all your food and have to wait a long time to get to order another round (even if you try to order ahead before finishing your existing sushi !). Still, overall the staff are friendly and nice. Ambiance is pretty good, tables and chairs are clean. Well air conditioned, which is important in the Sacramanto summer heat. I went on a Friday night around 7:30 PM, and it was an hour wait to get seated. There's a tablet inside the restaurant at the entrance where you can put in your name, party size, & phone number for the waitlist. For smaller parties, they have small tables for 2 on the perimeter of the restaurant. Since I had a party of 2, they offered the smaller table which was readily available, or I could've opted to wait longer for a larger, 4-seater table on the floor. I chose to go with the smaller table as it was just me & my husband, & it was our first time. Personally, the table for 2 was a bit crowded and too small for AYCE sushi. It felt like my husband's back was way too close to the neighboring table's back & we were able to hear their conversation, & I feel like they were able to hear ours as well. My husband & I chose to go with Course A which was $32.95 per person. The food came out fast and they were all delicious. In all honesty, my husband & I went in starving and ended up ordering a lot more appetizers than we wanted to. The main appetizers that we absolutely loved & would get again are the Monkey Brain & Bulgogi Fries. We have never had Monkey Brain before & didn't know what to expect. It was so soft and delectable. The Bulgogi Fries are to-die-for. It was saucy, cheesy, meaty, crunchy, fresh... I still think about it to this day. Rolls that came in cuts of 8 or 10 could be split into half-orders. My husband & I ordered half-orders for the rolls that we could so that we can try more of the menu, as recommended by our waiter. The rolls were all fresh and very filling. I appreciate how they didn't put too much rice in the rolls to make their customers full fast. All the ratios were fantastic. The baked rolls were so soft and savory. After a day of shopping at the Galleria,my daughter and I found ourselves yearning for some sushi,so we decided to try the,at least for us,relatively new AYCE sushi spot in Roseville-It's Sushi. Upon arrival we noticed a few people in line and noticed they had one of those machines that you check in with to get your spot on the waiting list-It told us the wait was about 45 minutes but we were seated within 20 minutes-so I guess we got lucky. This spot has a 3 tiered pricing menu,depending on what you want access to-Course A ($29.95) gives u access to basically just rolls and some appetizer level stuff like Edamame and tempura items.Course B($39.95) gives u access to the Nigiri on the menu-Course C ($49.95) gives u access to their ultra premium items,things like Sea Urchin,Lobster,Grilled Mackerel-We went with the B course,which I find is the sweet spot at this restaurant-gives u so many options,which u would be hard pressed to complete in the 90 minute time limit your given to enjoy this feast of a meal. The fish here I find to be very fresh,the Nigiri fish to rice ratio was on point here,I just hate it when u order nigiri and the rice dwarfs the fish.Some of the more interesting items on the menu include the XXX burrito-it's basically very similar to hand rolls but they are served in soy paper wraps but what I liked about this one was the xxx sauce it was served with,it was so tasty and really packed a punch-tread lightly unlike myself who dunked half the burrito in that stuff and almost burned my tastebuds off!!....Other standouts for me - the Crispy Rice,which was pretty awesome sushi item that also packed a punch with that innocent looking jalapeño slice and sauce over the top of it-so yummy.....If I had to pick a star of the night though,I would go with the Nigiri-so many unique flavors offered here,things like Paprika Seared Salmon,Cajun Tuna,Jalapeño Albacore,Super White Tuna,Garlic Tuna-the combinations are endless and I guarantee you will tap out before experiencing everything this menu has to offer. in closing,my daughter and I agreed,if u ever find yourself in West Roseville and want to try many types of sushi rolls/Nigiri/Sushi Bar items,this restaurant is a choice that can't be beat-the value you get for the price is awesome and I truly can't wait to come back here-loved it. This place is a must for AYCE sushi! My favorite has to be the salmon belly, but they have so many variations of nigiri that you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. There's a limit on some nigiri but the rest are fair game. You can also order half rolls! The service is a little hit or miss. The first time I went with a group of 7 and the server kept coming by to check on us and even recommended some nigiri for us to try! Came here with a party of 6 on a Saturday 1:30pm. Was quoted about a 30-45 minute wait, but it felt a bit quicker. Our server was nice, quick, and reassuring; he gave us recommendations and reassured us that he would be back often to check on us (he was!). We went with course B.
