    Sushi is good!

On a mission to try every buffet in California! My hubby, our toddler and I stopped in on Thursday, after my nail appointment. All-You-Can-Eat Dinner Buffet was a great price at just $22.99, but food was a hit and miss and ice cream cost a $1 extra. Staff are sweet tho! Average 3/5 stars.

Im honestly surprised this place doesn't have more stars. Yes the area isn't all that great outside could use an upgrade. When you walk in the scene is very different and clean. We were greeted by friendly staff right away and constantly being checked on if we needed anything. They have plenty of options for everyone! Sushi was really good and they even have Mongolian bbq. If your looking for an all you can eat with a lil of it all this is the place. We will definitely be coming back.

Very clean and inviting dining area. Service was very friendly and quick. Food presentation was great. Perfect for quick last minute family gatherings! We enjoyed the Cajun shrimp dish and dim sum portion sizes.

Went here with a big group. We were initially put into the wrong group, but things were figured out. The food was good. A lot of options. The sashimi was good. The coconut shrimp was one of my favorite things there; it was like honey walnut shrimp but with coconut flavor. Very yummy. The cooked oysters are huge! Fries were well seasoned but unfortunately stale. Plantains are a great palette cleaner. As for the service, they were quick to clean your finished plates. However, they did not refill drinks as fast.

The restaurant was clean, and the food selection was good. There were several sushi options, which I enjoyed. Some dishes were my favorites, while others were just okay, but overall I had a good experience. For the price, it's definitely worth it. I would come back again to try more dishes.

Overall, the sushi section was well stocked.

I've wanted to try this place ever since I heard about it. It's the former Japanese buffet, that's across the parking lot from the citrus Heights Sam's Club on Greenback. I came in at 2:30 on a Saturday, and it was busy, but not overly so. The place was very clean. The people were friendly. You walk in, you are seated, and they take your payment after you eat. Overall, the food was very good. I forget the number, but there were quite a few number of serving lines. because it was Saturday, they had the dinner menu all day, so the menu was expanded. The food temperature was very good, which can be a challenge at a buffet. They had a very good selection. They had a Mongolian barbecue, including shrimp as one of the proteins. They also had steaks available to grill. They had a large number of Chinese selections. They had a peanut butter chow mein, which I liked. They had four different kinds of soup. They also had American selections, such as pizza, fried chicken, and french fries. They had a very large selection of seafood, including shrimp several ways, including coconut shrimp, which I absolutely love. They had baked fish, which was very good. They also had crawdads. The sushi section is very large, it was well stocked, and it included three different types of sashimi. They also had baked oysters, as well as raw oysters on the half shell. They had a nice salad bar, and a good dessert section, including cakes that they actually keep in a cooler to keep them fresh. The one thing I did not care for, was a roast beef/prime rib. It was on a do it yourself carving station, which I felt was a bit unsanitary, To me, it was tough, and it did not taste very good. I actually had to spit it out. That saying, that's the only thing I did not like on the menu. Everything else was great. Even it being the dinner menu, the price was extremely reasonable. If you are over 65, you get a 10% discount as well I like this place. I will be back. Thank you..

Ask the Community - Yummy Buffet & Grill

What is the menu for the weekend?

It's a standard Chinese buffet, Chinese items, American items, sushi, etc.... But on the weekend they have the dinner menu, and the dinner menu has more items on it than the lunch menu does.

Is Monday 2/17 holiday? how much is lunch?

Monday the 17th is a holiday, Presidents' Day, but I don't know what their pricing is going to be for the day. Best thing to do is just give them a call.

    Is there crab legs?

No crab legs for the weekend or dinner service.

    When do dinner hours start?

Mon. - Fri. After 3:30pm Sat. &Sun. All day dinner

What are the lunch hours and is the same food offered at lunch as it is at dinner?

I'm not sure of the lunch hours, but no, some of the food is different. The dinner menu costs a little bit more, but there are more things on the menu.

What is the price for kids Saturday and Sunday?

    All day dinner,$23.99 per person

$23.99 is that the children price too? I have a 5 and 10.

    5y $8.99 10y. 11.99

What is the cost per person for lunch vs dinner? Thanks

Yummy Buffet is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The price for a buffet meal is listed as $15.99 for lunch Monday through Friday for adults, $8.99 for kids seven to 10, and $6.99…

Our waiterS were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable in their menu options. One of them was super friendly -- maybe even a bit cheeky! -- and he made us feel at home. Second, the ambiance was dinner date night worthy so long as you don't mind a few TVs. They didn't bother us nor was the volume obnoxiously loud. The bar area is fun and modern-looking. Third, ohmygoodness! The food was sooo delicious! The Cantonese-style Seabass paired quite lovely with Shrimp Fried Rice and Combination Veggies!!! The seabass was topped with sliced ginger and onions. It was super tasty! It reminded me of home cooked meals growing up. The shrimp in the fried rice was tender and lighted dusty with some type of flour that made it perfectly crisp. And the combination veggies was perfectly cooked and served in a light sauce! Thing is, I'm not a huge fan of "Asian Fusion" but this place seemed to hit all the boxes for us. Go give Folsom Palace a try! p.s. Each dish was beautifully presented and smelled amazing as they walked up... that I totally forgot to take pictures (lol).

The noodles were flavorful and well-seasoned, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the vegetables were fresh. Everything tasted great together. However, for $20, I expected a little more. There were only 4 shrimp in the box, which feels like too little for the price. If they had included at least 6-8 shrimp, it would have been much better. The food is delicious, but the value for the money could definitely be improved.

We were about 20 minutes away when we ordered by phone. We went with some Sesame Chicken and Chicken Chowmein. When we arrived we were still waiting since they were making orders ahead of us. We sat in the dining room, which is not set up for anyone to dine in. This seemed to be only a pick up type of place. After about 15 more minutes our order was ready. The woman was so nice and packed up a couple plates, with silverware, napkins, soy sauce, and fortune cookies. We hopped back into the truck and drove back to his house for the remainder of our date. After another 20 minute drive, we went inside and out food was still piping hot! The only issue we had was that the paper plates were so thin. We literally only got 2 of the thinnest plates you could find on the market. Putting anything on them would bleed through... so if you ask for plates double or triple up what you really need. The Sesame Chicken was very good. Cooked fresh. The crunch on the outside of the chicken and the taste of the sauce was spot on. The Chicken Chowmein noodles were just as delicious! This spot was so close to my parents house, I am so surprised I had never discovered it! Good food ended with a gorgeous night!!

04.26.26 Mama (that's me) was in the mood for some Chinese,…read moreso instead of taking hubby for a sit down spot in Roseville/Granite Bay I've been meaning to take him to, we opted for takeout close to home. We've tried several spots in the area after our typical go-to hadn't been great the last few times we ordered. So, I turned to my trusty Yelp and found Pearl House. Hubs knew exactly where it was--next door to Grocery Outlet. I thought it was closed last time we were at GC, like closed closed. So when we saw pics from 3days ago, we knew that wasn't the case. Being 7pm on a Sunday, we saw they closed at 9pm. So, looked at their menu online, we decided on our order: Hubs' go-to whenever trying a new place is General Tso's Chicken, and I tried something new-Happy Family because I was in the mood for a protein variety dish, and this had quite the variety: scallop, shrimp, calamari, crabmeat, chicken, BBQ pork, and beef with a plethora or veggies. We also wanted egg rolls. I called and a lady answered, took my order, and said it'd be ready in 10min. Didn't take my name or number-wow! Not only did I think that was kinda crazy, but TEN minutes?!?! This was either gunna blow my mind or be horrible. We drove over and upon entering there were a few people inside leaving--not sure if they were also to-go or has finished eating there. I looked around and saw many empty tables, but clean looking dining room area. A lady behind the counter wearing a face mask asked to help me. I let her know I was there to pick up, and she asked what I ordered. Our order was already boxed up ready to go. Our total? $41 before tip. I asked her if they did sit down, she confirmed yes. Then I told her it was my first time in there, to which she asked where I lived and that they've been there for 37 YEARS! Then she said she hopes we like our food and to see us again. I grabbed a to-go menu and went on my way. The food smelled good and when we got home, I grabbed my own chopsticks and hot chili oil, and was ready to grub. In the box, besides our ordered food, they included sweet & sour sauce for the egg rolls, as well as soy sauce packets and individually wrapped fortune cookies. I first went for an eggroll, which was surprisingly longer in length than most other places. Took a bite and enjoyed that wonderful crispy outside texture, and saw it was veggie only inside--whomp, whomp. In my mind, these should really be called spring rolls. However, these had some REALLY great flavor!! Hubs enjoys meat in his rolls, but after explaining the flavor, he still tried one himself and was quite happy with it. He had taken a bite of his GT Chicken and said it was pretty good. He said it tasted a little too sweet, almost dessert-y, but that it was also really good. I tried a small piece and liked how crispy it was even in all the sweet sauciness. Then I opened my dish and boy oh boy did it look good. Now before I talk about how it tasted, I need to explain what I thought I was getting. The menu said all those proteins I mentioned, and that it was tossed with snow pea pods, broccoli tips, mushrooms (which I ordered without) and baby corn. All veggies I enjoy! So, what my dish actually came with (as you can see in my pic), there was onions, carrots, celery, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, NO calamari or baby corn or BBQ pork. That all said, I was most disappointed in not having the calamari, BBQ pork or baby corn. Sad, yes. But the overall dish made up for it. With that, I was not mad AT ALL, and surprisingly ate the entire thing in one sitting--NOT a usual thing for me!! Granted, I hadn't eaten since breakfast, but still. It was DEE-LICIOUS and I'll say Dee-approved!! I'm literally writing this review immediately after eating dinner because it was THAT good y'all! I couldn't not let my people know that Pearl House is legit and it's obvious why they've been around for 37 years. This may be our new go-to spot for that neighborhood Chinese food craving, IJS. So, if you're in the area and looking for some authentic Chinese cuisine, look no further and check out Pearl House for yourself. We most definitely will be back. P.S. And them fortune cookies are good too!
