Annie the owner is amazing, kind, and gives the most detailed and perfect manicure I've ever had. Ever since I came here, every other salon is a disappointment. Annie takes her time, is gentle and makes sure you're happy with your nails along the way. Truly amazing quality here, vibes feel relaxing. I came in to get my nails done for our engagement shoot a few months back. I thought I'd try long fake nails, they were beautiful but not "me." I usually get a pretty basic neutral Russian manicure and it looks amazing every time. Clean, moisturized, and natural to my nail color. For any guy who wants to get his nails done at UCSB, I'd recommend their lounge. Trust me, your girlfriend will be proud of you for going to Annie or Nigina The shop is cute and they have water/coffee while you wait. I got my eyebrows and upper lip threaded. While the service is a bit more expensive than I'm used to (27$ for both) it was a 100% worth it! I walked in and got a spot 45 mins after, which was super great. She did my eyebrows exactly how I like them and made me feel super comfortable by chatting. My roommate went to the location in Goleta and had Annie do her nails and said she did amazing and recommended it to me. I've been searching for a new go-to nail place and hadn't been able to find one that was reasonably priced that left me feeling happy with the results. I'm pretty sure the name of the girl who did my nails was Lauren at the IV location and she did amazing! Super sweet and fun to talk to, I got a gel ex set and they turned out so cute and perfect! Price was very reasonable to me considering how good they turned out and how much time she put into making sure I was happy with the colors and results. She took her time and was super friendly and funny and made me feel so comfortable the whole time. Super cute vibe inside the store too. I've been trying so hard to find a nail place like this that actually takes their time and makes it feel like money well spent, while also making you feel comfortable and welcomed. This business is operating illegally against state tax code for retail businesses in the state of CA. When I gently tried to notify her of this ( ps a Shopify account takes no more than Zelle or Venmo or any other merchant account ) and auto generates a receipt as required by Law in CA when operating a retail business that accepts cash , cards or other forms of payment. It also auto generates the sales tax withholding. ( my dear friend who does home massages just got completely nailed by the IRS for this and they assigned all the sales tax retroactive and she had to declare BK ... super horrible situation! I thought I was being super friendly business to business by telling her she should consider setting up a merchant account And then Told her my husband would run the $20 cash across the street as I don't have Zelle and my Venmo has been hacked like 10 times and I no longer trust it as they do NOT have a fraud service department ( fyi ) her request also came off super aggressive and was saying if I didn't provide the $20 in 15 minutes the appointment would be cancelled! Like umm ok . She said she would no longer take my daughter's nail appointment? Like really??? 10/10 don't recommend 10/10 this business will get audited and license to operate pulled. By reading some of the other reviews here as recently as yesterday a 1* was left this lady is not professional. Maybe she used to be. I'm still debating turning her in. * edit her reply and faux sincerity is fake. Came here with my daughter for some gel manicures, and were very impressed. It's a cute salon, very friendly; we were greeted by Annie and Brie at the front desk. Mia did a beautiful job on my daughter's nails, and Yvette did a good job on mine. It's a bit pricey: $38 for gel mani; $45 if need gel removal, and $80 for gel pedi, and the reservation process was a bit involved, at least for 1st time customers: had to call one number, text another number with names, services, date, time; send deposits via Venmo for each service, then text a screenshot of the Venmo confirmation, but I'm sure with so many college students as clients, cancellations are an issue. Would definitely recommend and return though, for the quality and convenient location! read more

I followed Annie from another salon because is amazing; she gives exceptional service every time- attention to detail, never makes me feel rushed, and she is so kind. My daughter gets her nails done by Ibett and she also does really great work. Know that you'll need to book in advance. I appreciate that I can have a set appointment time and not have to sit around and wait like most other places. They also require a deposit.
