I would give zero stars if I could. I had a horrible experience at this place because I took two pants in: One was a pair of dress pants and the other regular jeans. I was charged 12 dollars for each pants. I was completely taken aback because on their business card it explicitly says 4 dollars per jeans. When I asked Solomon as to why he was charging me so much he gave me some ridiculous answer that didn't make any logical sense. I feel completely taken advantage of and I wish I would have gone somewhere else. The prices are uncalled for especially for what the quality and type of work it entails. I want to also say that there aren't any set price "menu" in the shop so he could have done this to others or will do this to others in the future. I will surely not come back. read more

What a great and painless experience! I went to other alteration businesses and they said they weren't able to do a simple refitting of my wedding dress so I yelped and found Ivannas Alterations. Solomon and one of the ladies were able to tailor my wedding dress EXACTLY how I wanted, thankfully. The price was reasonable for refitting the Whole dress. Also, they had it finished as fast as 4 days. They were very friendly. The service was overall fantastic. I'm going to go again and get some jeans refitted also. i called and i asked for a quote for 2 dickie pants. she asked how id like to get them adjusted length or width . i explained to her i am very short so i need length but i also needed width adjusted . she quoted me for length $6 and for width $4 . she said if i want both she can do it for $8 each pant. i was amazed by the rate just because i have called around and other alteration business's were quoting me $12-$25 each pants . i immediately went over i tried on the pants and the woman took my directions very well . i emphasized the fact that i needed 1 of the 2 pants asap (as in the next day @8 am ) so last minute i know. mind you i went in around..3. pm-ish she gave me a turn around time of 6 pm the same day!!! i was super happy and i said lets donit . sure enough i went to pick up my pants @6 they were ready. and fitted to my body. all for $16 .. definitely coming back to ivannas and definitely recommending her to anyone and everyone that asks for alterations. 5 star worthy forsure. read more

She is very precise, and has great pride in her work - she had me try all the pieces after alterations, and if there is anything that needed to be fixed she will do it on the spot! I had a couple of pieces (10) of dresses, jeans, blouses tailored for a trip and they came out perfect. I have been to other tailors, but some people do not have a touch for style, Belen does. You get what you pay for. After my last fitting I had a hole in my underarm & I ask her to fix it. When I wore my dress to my sisters wedding, not even after 1minute of having it on, the hole literally ripped again and I had a hole under my arm the whole night, not to mention she made the arms way too tight for my fitting, when I specifically told her how I wanted it comfortable. The original size of the gown was huge so there was a lot of material to work with. Never coming here again. On another horrible experience here my 2nd fitting I got there after my alterations was suppose to be done & she wasn't ready. So I drove out of my way inconveniently, when she could have called me to come later. Also the lady speaks Spanish & I know some...because I was Asian She thought I was an idiot who didn't understand anything she said (little did she know I was raised in a Hispanic family) but my boyfriends little sister (who speaks fluently in Spanish) came with me to one of my fittings over heard her & one of her clients talking badly about me and how I wanted everything so perfect. Well duh lady!..hence why we alter to our needs! Next time don't talk shit behind you customers back when they're in the building!! Super disappointed, I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here, such bad experiences & I, myself work as a manager in retail & normally wouldn't go out of my way to write a bad review about anyone but this one definitely deserves one. Even tho my experience was horrible I still tipped her because I believe in tipping for labor but I wish I had not. read more
