With my most recent visit I made an appointment online a couple days before. Despite this, I waited for about 20 minutes after I arrived at the shop and the last time I had made an appointment I also had to wait. While someone said hello when I came in, no one asked me if I had an appointment. There were also no books with regular polish options at the front (only gel designs) so it wasn't until I was eventually seated at the pedicure chair that I was given a book to look at when the nail tech asked what color I wanted. My pedicure felt rushed and ended up sloppy on one toe going into the cuticle and chipped in the corner of another before I even left the salon. Because I was switched to a different person for my manicure, the person who did my pedicure was already gone when I noticed as I took out the toe spacer before I left. As for my manicure, I was getting GelX and needed to soak off my previous set. When I was sitting down for the pedicure I asked the woman if I needed to start soaking them off. She went and talked to someone else but ultimately did not begin soaking them while I was getting the pedicure done. Unfortunately this meant once the manicure started the technician spent a lot of time utilizing her drill to try to speed up the removal of the previous set. This resulted in it getting hot and hurting my nail bed and I suspect she also drilled them where they are now thin due to how sensitive my natural nails were. She also nicked my cuticles with her drill so when she asked me to continue soaking my fingers it burned and I had to tell her I couldn't. She didn't apologize, just told me to only soak the other nails that weren't burning. As she was drilling off my set she did get a lot of nail powder on herself and then was using the brush on herself to brush off nail powder before brushing it off my hands. I was really hoping to like this shop, but unfortunately just really did not have the best experience.

She is slow, and soaks the gel off before using the drill which I felt like just weakened my nails. Every nail was a different length, the shape was awful, I asked her to correct them multiple times. The first time I came here about a year ago, I received a regular gel manicure with a technician named Mila. From the beginning, her communication wasn't very customer-service oriented. When it came time to choose my color, she handed me one color book and was rushing me, saying, "I have another appointment after you, we need to pick a color." I was choosing between two different shades, so I wasn't taking an unreasonable amount of time. I completely understand that appointments are scheduled back-to-back and time is important, but there are ways to communicate that without making a paying customer feel like a burden or rushing the process. I left that appointment telling myself I wouldn't return. Fast forward about a year, I recently received a promotional text from the salon and decided to give it another chance in good faith. I booked a gel pedicure and manicure with Gel-X removal. Unfortunately, the experience was even more uncomfortable this time. Right from the start, both services were being done at the same time, and I was essentially placed in the chair while everything was being prepared around me. There was very little communication about what was being done. I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant, so having my legs and hands moved around without being told what was happening was especially overwhelming and uncomfortable. I ended up with Mila again for my manicure, and unfortunately experienced the same rushed and uncomfortable service. While she was applying the hard gel, it was getting onto my skin. The drill was extremely aggressive and was burning my nail beds for a large portion of the service. There was also dust all over my hands and me throughout the appointment, and it wasn't cleaned off or brushed away. Overall, the process felt very rushed and sloppy, with almost no communication. When it came time to choose my color this time, I wanted three coats because I wanted a specific level of coverage and color. Instead, she tried to tell me to just do one coat because my gel base was pink. Again, this felt like I was being encouraged to settle for what was quicker rather than being given the service I was asking for. I also wasn't given much opportunity to look through different colors, which unfortunately brought back the same feeling I had during my first visit. I also pointed out that there were visible bubbles in the nails, and I was told that they were normal. I've been getting my nails done for many years and know that white bubbles in the finished product are not something I would consider normal, but at that point I decided to let it go. Once the manicure was finished, she cleaned up her table on my lap, gave me cuticle oil, and walked away. There was no communication that I was finished, no instruction to wash my hands, and no lotion or finishing care. It just felt very impersonal and rushed. Then, when I went to check out, I noticed additional charges that I was not aware of beforehand. That was really the final straw for me. I believe customers should know exactly what they are being charged for, and pricing should be clear and consistent. I understand that every salon can have a busy day, and I'm not expecting perfection. What I do expect when I'm spending my hard-earned money is basic communication, professionalism, care, and a comfortable customer experience. Unfortunately, I didn't receive that here and having essentially the same experience with the same technician a year apart makes me feel that this wasn't just a one-time bad day. I won't be returning, but I do hope the salon takes this feedback seriously because there is definitely room for improvement.

I showed them a picture along the lines of what I wanted and they said no problem. Halfway through, the nail technician told me she was going to use glitter which is not at all what I wanted but she insisted it would match the look. I trusted her and let her continue. By the end, my nails were completely wrong and I was unhappy. They told me it was unreasonable of me to ask them to match a picture. I completely understand that sometimes it won't be an exact replica, but this was blatantly wrong. They told me there was nothing they could do and that I would need to come back the next afternoon to fix it, but of course I had a flight to catch. I couldn't believe that they wouldn't offer any correction. I went to another salon early the next day and they were able to replicate the picture with NO PROBLEMS. They even offered me a discount to redo my nails and fix what this other salon had done so terribly wrong. I trust nail salons to tell me up front if they can or cannot do something. They did absolutely nothing to try to compensate or fix it and had an attitude with me when I expressed that I was unhappy with it. I do not recommend.
