Solid pub food. We came on a Monday and it was half off burgers! The burger was super juicy and the meat patty was definitely almost a half pounder. I really liked the pasta salad side. Not too much mayo or sugar. It was a great way to cut the heaviness from my meal My friend got the fish sandwich. Nothing to write home about. It's a pretty large portion but almost too big (is that even possible?!) I wish the tartar on it was more tart or if there was Cole slaw on it. Something was missing but I can't really pin point it. I have this thing about reviewing neighborhood standbys....I usually won't. The thing is, they're beloved for a lot of reasons, and setimentality/familiarity tends to cloud the palate. Not so with The Ivy. In addition to being a warm, familiar place to catch up with friends or watch the game, they've got a menu that will blow your socks off. Like, clear across to KitchenBAR. Don't believe me? Try the bulgolgi steak salad, the bibimbap (OMG) or any burger. The only miss (for me) was the clam chowder. Blame my Italian momma, who spoiled me for other renditions. Was visiting some family in Providence and craving some good eats. Thanks to a Yelper's recommendation, Ivy Tavern was sitting in my bookmarks, so away we went. Have to say that 'm very glad we did, because this place is awesome! We sat down right away, but the place still seemed plenty busy for a Monday night. I went in knowing that I was going to order the bibimbap, as recommendations and reviews had very much influenced me. They had a small draft list, but I found a delicious coffee stout to sip on, while I waited for my girlfriend to peruse the menu. She settled on the house fish sandwich, with an upgrade to garlic fries, and I chose short rib, as my bibimbap's protein. Everything was super tasty! The bibimbap was packed with lots of fresh ingredients. The hot stone bowl kept everything sizzling and the bottom layer of rice, with it's crisp, golden brown finish, was amazing. I do wish the short rib was served a bit differently though. It most definitely tasted great and was also very tender, but it can be a bit awkward trying to cut it up in a bowl. I did try some of the garlic fries and fish sandwich, and both were solid options. I love garlic, so I especially liked the fresh flavor on the fries and the garlicky sandwich bun. The beer-battered fish was especially good, when paired up with the mayo and slaw. Overall, it was a great experience. Good service and even better food. This is one of the very few places I really miss since moving away from Providence. Located in what I consider the best neighborhood in the city, it's the ultimate cozy urban tavern. This place is especially enticing on a cold winter's evening. Think of this is the opposite of an oversized corporate sports bar like Buffalo Wild Wings. This is a human-scaled place like they used to make 'em. Although the Ivy is sure to be jammed at the dinner hour, it's worth the wait. They don't change the menu often, but it consists of "pub fare plus" as well as a couple of Korean dishes. Beer selection is ok, but the atmosphere is what really put it over the top. Worth the wait. This place was pretty hoppin' for a weeknight on Hope St - or really, for any night. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but I'm glad we did. The hubz and I knew that we both wanted to have a drink or two, so we needed an eating establishment that was in walking distance. (Why designate a driver when you can both walk? Amiright, drinkers?) And, since we're new to PVD, we walked to Hope Street. Upon walking into Ivy Tavern, I noted that every table is full, and the staff is at full speed. It was busy with a capital izzy... and I could feel my potential disappointment brewing. "Well, weeeee won't be eating anytime soon," my brain told my stomach. "Well, weeeee won't be seated anytime soon," my legs told my ass. But, we were seated in a timely manner, and then everything just started clicking. Enough cannot be said of how amazing the service is at Ivy Tavern. Though it was super busy, the team there never once complained about it (always a turn off) or even alluded to it. When the wait staff was talking to us, they made us feel like we were their only customer. Some highlights: - When I told my husband that I'd "just try a sip of his beer" when he got his (before I could decide to order), the waitress took the initiative and brought me a shot-sized sample of the beer to try on my own. A+ - When I asked about the veggie burger (a rather delicate question as any restaurant goer knows), our waitress answered me compassionately and honestly. She knew what I was asking, and she answered me. A+ - When I pondered about what cheese I should have on my steak sandwich, she offered up her culinary take in good detail. A+ (Answer: Provolone, and she was right, it was delicious.) - When my hubz found the calamari too spicy, she took care of the matter like a champ. A+ Just a full-on great experience. Great spot, great food, great location. I've been coming to the Ivy Tavern off and on for many many years and it's never failed to disappoint me, whether I'm sitting at the bar having a drink or sitting at a table eating lunch or dinner. My most recent visit was last Saturday; my friend and I stopped in for a late lunch. We sat at a small high top near the window so we were able to see what was going on out there on Hope Street. While they do offer some outdoor seating, there are only a couple of tables and it was a beautiful day so of course they were both taken. Our waitress wasn't overly friendly, but she was quick and efficient. We each ordered a bottled beer; I ordered the portabello burger and my friend ordered the fish tacos with a side salad and clam chowder. The burger was MASSIVE and the mushroom, having been doused in balsamic vinaigrette, made the bun soggy but it was still delicious. Also, their fries are TO DO FOR... some of the best I've ever had, even my friend agreed. He enjoyed his food but didn't think that their chowder was the best, as they claimed it to be. They have a great selection of beers, bottle and tap as well as a full bar. The Ivy Tavern is a great little hidden dive bar restaurant on Hope Street - smack in the middle of Hope Village. I had previously avoided it just because I'm not crazy about bar food. This was different. My husband and I are on the everlasting quest to find a great hamburger. Ivy didn't disappoint. I was surprised by the unique variety of items on the menu - oddly they had bibimbap and it looked like it was selling pretty quick. Crissa L. is going to try to mislead you about our experience at Ivy Tavern. She is going to tell you that her burger was the most delicious burger on the table. Seeing as her burger was the only burger that did not actually contain any animal, this is obviously false. You have been warned. Crissa L. is lying to you. Crissa L. will tell you the truth about some things. She will tell you that the restaurant is very casual and that the waitress was very friendly. She will tell you that they have a solid list of drinks and that your beverage of choice will be brought to you promptly. She won't tell you about my burger, so I will: I got the Ivy Burger, and it totally lived up to the hype. Excellent bun, cooked just how I liked it, no need for crazy toppings - this burger was solid with simple Swiss, lettuce, and tomato. No upcharge for my extra extra pickle and I am a happy burger-eater. Crissa L. is also not going to tell you about my garlic fries because I did not let her eat them. She ordered vastly inferior regular fries. Sometimes we all make bad decisions. Crissa L. makes many of them. The moral of the story is that you should be like me and go to Ivy Tavern. And once you're there, you should also be like me and order the Ivy Burger, because it is delicious and God intended for us to eat animals. I'll agree with a few other posters that this is the best burger in Providence. I almost don't want to post that because it will just make the tiny little bar more cramped but I've got to tell the truth. The burgers are awesome. I've had a few other sandwiches there like the turkey kinkaid and a chicken sandwich that was excellent. They have a good beer selection, the service has always been great and it has a great neighborhood bar feel. It is small though so don't be surprised if you show up and have to stand around waiting for a table. The downside for me is the children. Every time I go there some idiot drags in two or three rug rats who just harsh my mellow. I'm there to 'forget about life for a while' as Billy Joel once sang, not listen to your kids cry about wiggles or whatever the hell it is they cry about. Seriously, if your an East Sider with a ginormous jogging stroller/monster-truck wondering why I'm giving you the stink eye, it's because your kid is throwing food at me in a bar. A tavern is defined as an establishment where alcoholic beverages are to be sold and drunk on premises. Does that sound like a great place to bring your kid? I actually heard one track suited moron ask if they had a kids menu and give the waitress an attitude when she said no. So I say go to the Ivy, eat drink and be merry. And if you drop an F bomb or 3 or tell some story about a buddy of yours who blacked out for three days in NYC and woke up with a venereal disease don't feel bad if a kid overhears it. Not many places offer chili as a burger topping. So, I assume that, if they put it on the menu as such, they believe it to be a worthy addition. Naturally, I ordered chili on my burger, and bacon (because, well, why stop with the chili at that point?) The man sitting behind me -- who may or may not have been intoxicated -- turned around and suggested that, since I clearly knew how to order a burger, that I needed to sample the garlic fries as well. His advice did not go unheeded or unappreciated. The burger was generously sized and offered plenty of flavor, especially with the toppings that accompanied it. Among other things, we also ordered the Au Cajunal Jerk Duck and Chicken Tazers. The duck was a huge hit with my two-year-old. The chicken was a novel idea but, if presented with the option, I would order traditional hot wings over it every time. read more

If i ever had to leave the United States for an extended period of time with no access to the creature comforts of home, I think the first place I would go to upon my return to would be the Ivy Tavern. This is a great pub. Nothing too fancy, a long bar and a few tables with the requisite sports memorabilia adorning the walls. Its not too big which is just fine with me but sometimes it can be tough to get a good spot. It is also home to one of the best burgers in Providence where medium rare means medium rare and the fries are good (I always ask for a side of remoulade to switch up my traditional french fry toppings of malt vinegar and ketchup). Come to think of it I have never ordered anything but the burger because they really are that good. I have heard good things about the rest of the menu especially the polka dog and the veggie burger (seriously). I like this place because I can head here with friends to catch a game, talk baseball and have a bite and a pint or two or drop by with the wife for a casual dinner after work. They staff is always friendly, the service has always been decent to great, its got a solid great selection of beers on tap and they do a good pour of bourbon or scotch if you have had a particularly bad day. The Ivy is on my top ten list of why I love Providence. Its one of those places that I always tell visitors/out of towners about when the ask me about why I love Providence over another city. The Ivy, though nondescript, is just a great place. In these tough times Its comforting to know that the Ivy is there. It is a kind reminder of what is right in the world. read more

The Ivy Tavern is among the best local neighborhood pubs that you will find on Providence's Hope Street. It is actually closest to what a real British pub is like, it's laid back and families are as welcome as anyone. They briefly closed but have returned in all their magnificence under new ownership. Of course i was worried things would drastically change, but everything is as fantastic as it was before. The new owners are really nice, friendly and welcoming people. I am especially happy that the sports memorabilia, which includes rare baseball, wrestling, basketball and football collectibles, has remained intact, as has one of the most easy going and better bartenders in Providence, Rob. Beer selection is still tops and the food has always been superb, so i wondered if it would stay that way. Happily it still is and in fact even better with some additional new menu items and specials. This is no exaggerated review, the food quality is hand prepared and really excellent. This is one of the more comfortable places you will find to watch sports, have a great meal and meet up with good friends. There may be a few nights that are so crowded you might have to wait for a seat, and the staff is spinning around a little, being so busy, but that can happen at any decent place - it is a sign of quality for an establishment in my opinion. Never have had a food issue at the Ivy either (like another reviewer who said his calamari was crispy on the outside and chewy inside??...well, that is what calamari is supposed to be like!). There has been some slight changes to the menu which make the food selection even better now. The Ivy had started offering raw bar oysters, and for the great price they are outstanding. Another menu addition is a spicy Kimchee soup with Asiago cheese and chicken sausage that is out of this world! Over the years we have watched many a game, seen championships won, eaten good food and have had some really good times meeting people at the Ivy. The best burger in Providence, hands down. Whenever I'm craving a burger, the Ivy Tavern is my go-to spot. They use a high quality coarse ground beef, the perfect amount of seasoning, and consistently cook it just right. I get mine without chili and cheese and all the extras because the burger itself is just so good. When I'm in the mood for a big, juicy burger, I want to actually taste the burger. Definitely get a side of garlic fries as opposed to regular ones ($1 upcharge I think, but well worth it). The fresh garlic taste is delicious and the fries are nice and crispy. Portions are ridiculously large. I always end up taking a bunch of food home. They offer a wide variety of beers on tap and in bottles and the staff is awesome. The Ivy is definitely a popular neighborhood spot and it's pretty small, so be prepared to wait during peak times (mostly weekends or during a big game). My only wish is that they were open regularly on Sundays. I miss catching football games there. Keep an eye out for the snarky puns & phrases on the "bulletin board" inside that the staff spells out with giant Scrabble tiles. Okay, so it took me a while (3 years) to get over to Ivy Tavern to try a burger. I've read so many amazing Yelp reviews about this place, but I never took the time to notice that it is right on Hope St., a mere 5 minutes from my house! This whole time I was thinking it was in downcity somewhere and I would have to struggle to find parking. That is the real reason I've avoided Ivy. If I'd only known how many wonderful meals have I missed all these years!! So here are the deets: This Ivy is a sweet little bar tucked in a strip on stores on Hope Street right next to Blaze and the Pizzeria place. It is very small when you walk in and it sells itself as a sports bar, but according to my husband who is well aware of what a "real sports bar is", Ivy is merely a great bar with awesome food and drinks that you can "choose to watch sports in". What he means is there are only 2 or 3 25" or so TV's in the joint. A REAL sports bar had at least 8 and they are at least 52" according to my cowboy! So, you might be a little disappointed if you go here on a sunday afternoon looking for beer and a game. Most people in Ivy are there for the food. So, speaking of food, we split a hamburger, because they are so big! We also opted for the pasta with the burger and ordered an appetizer of chili cheese fries. There is no reason for two orders of fries, right? (wrong!) Anyway, the chili cheese fries were pretty good. I'd give them 4 out of 5 stars. The best part was that even though it was chili cheese (seriously, sounds like an artery clogger on a plate, doesn't it?) the fries weren't greasy AT ALL! In fact, the chili had so many veggies in it, it tasted more like a vegetable soup than actual chili. The fries were also no greasy! Can you believe that? Seriously, we expected to feel pretty gross after eating them and we both felt surprisingly okay! Now on to the burger. Oh, the burger. I am dead serious when I say that this burger puts all other burgers in RI to shame. The hamburger at Ivy is like the Coco Chanel of burgers. Seriously! My husband and I talked to our waiter about it because this isn't just your plain ol' 80/20 meat blend y'all! And it is too juicy to be 93/7 sirloin. It is definitely a blend of different meats. We aren't sure but we think there is some rib-eye meat in there. That's how it tastes so juicy and clean at the same time. Anyway, if all the positive reviews don't get you over to the Ivy, I don't know what will, but you are missing a true Rhody treasure. First time at the highly recommended Ivy Tavern and it definitely lived up to the hype. There was one guy taking care of the tables and one guy behind the bar.. these guys were HUSTLING.. it was a spectacle watching them work together and keep a great attitude in the face of what could be a very stressful situation. The Food: Had a golden burger, cooked to the right temp, and got the most crunchy onion rings I've ever had. Quick, attentive service, great attitude, and the food came out in decent time. Can't wait to go back and try their bulgogi steak sandwich and garlic fries. I came here recently with a friend of mine. I'd been inside for a beer once before a couple years ago, but never thought to have dinner. I arrived to a busy restaurant, but the wait wasn't very long at all. We sat at one of their quaint 2-top table tops. I'm not sure about the rest of the tables but ours had a fun unique painting on tile. I had fun looking at all the wall decorations - posters, sports memorabilia, and knick knacks. I loved everything on the menu. I was probably drooling while reading all the delicious options. In the end, I settled on a beer with the Apple and Brie Veggie burger option... With a juicy BEEF pattie to substitute. HAH! (Insert: I can appreciate people's choice to be a vegetarian, but I loooove beef burgers!) Anyways, I am a big fan of this place. I tried this place after my manager raved about their burgers. To quote what he originally told me "They baste their burgers in butter." Yeah BUTTER! Needless to say that was enough said. So I made the trek down there with my boyfriend and we tried their burgers. For an appetizer we had this delicious broiled feta that had a olive tomato chutney sort of thing on top. While it was delicious it was the burger and how simply prepared but heartily satisfying that stole the show for us. I got mine with mushrooms and Swiss cheese. Washing all that down with a nice pint of dogfish head 60 minutes IPA (Although who knows how long that will be available for with Dogfish head leaving RI) Overall I have to say their food is delicious and it is a extremely popular neighborhood spot. I really WANT to like this place. I really do. It's convenient to my house, and the atmosphere is very casual and welcoming. But the last 2 times we've gone there, my husband and I have been sorely disappointed. The Reuben he ordered looked okay, but the bread had mold spots. My 3 Alarm Chicken looked more promising but tasted like a dill pickle relish had a fight with a pico de gallo sauce. And not in a good way. Uck. I give it 2 stars and not 1 for the atmosphere, but I would be hard pressed to try their food again. read more

THE neighborhood bar. Where you don't have to be a neighbor to fit in and have a great beer/meal/time. The coziness (not just the drinking) is a social lubricant, especially at the bar. There are around 10ish 2- and 4-tops for tables. All the accolades for the burger are most certainly well-deserved, but I hope y'all will not stop there for your beyond-pub-fare epicurean pleasures at this here pub. A few menu faves of mine are the salmon sensato (salmon sandwich between croissant and a glorious creamy dill sauce), the feta attraction (a hunk of beautiful feta with some tasty middle eastern fixin's) and the calamari with house remoulade. Always specials to explore, too. TV's covering every angle usually bug me, but I get it, this is a sports gathering place and that's part of its identity, and charm, so I'm not gonna go there. A no-nonsense bar for adults, the Ivy Tavern is a great representative of Hope St. neighborhood. It's a simple bar and a very good restaurant. It doesn't need disco lights and loud music in order to bring people in, it doesn't need a bouncer because the guests are civilized adults and it doesn't need to cheapen the food or water down the drinks because people go there for good food and good beer. If you're looking for a quality meal at a good price or simply want to stop by and hang out with the locals for a drink, come on over. But don't waste your time coming here if you're searching for a dance floor, a "hook-up" or over-priced drinks with a glow-in-the-dark straw. read more

I keep promising myself that I am going to try the other sauces (Korean BBQ, Cilantro Pesto), but I am stuck on the Buffalo. Amazing! Ivy Tavern has a very small unassuming front on Hope Street. Upon entering on a Thursday night it was jam packed with happy campers noshing on burgers and sipping on beers. There were not any tables available and a few seats open at the bar. So my companions and I decided we'd belly up to the bar and just order from there. We ordered some oysters on the half shell to start which were great and tasted fresh. For my sandwich i went for the two alarm bird with a side of garlic fries. The sandwich was huge, juicy, and flavorful. The garlic fries were a little slice of heaven on earth... They're only a 99 cent up charge... do yourself a solid and shell out the extra buck! One of my companions got the Golden Burger and described it as the best burger he ever had. Since i've known him for roughly 27 years, this is the first instance i can recall him uttering this type of description of a meal. I can't recall what my other companion ordered but he seemed pleased (and will more than likely Yelp his experience on his own... :D) Typically i'm not a burger gal but maybe i'll give it a whirl next time. read more

Ivy gets an extra star in my book for their chili cheese fries alone. Holy crap is that a plate of fries. You could almost make this a meal unto itself. When we got the huge sandwiches, we were pretty much stuffed. Obviously we hit up another busy night for Ivy (Sat), so it was packed to the gills. I am honestly surprised we got a seat. I really hope the sucess of Ivy allows them to buy up a neigboring place like other restaurants on Hope to have a larger space to work with. While looking for a new burger spot, we recently stumbled upon the Ivy. This restaurant/bar is small hole in the wall that could use some updating. More specifically the dirty-ish looking floors and rickety chairs. While here, I also found the menu to be lack luster, with only a few burger choices. (I'm used to Blackie's or Luxe multitude of options) The food itself was good. I ordered the Accidental Purist with cheese and bacon. It had great flavor and fresh ingredients. My husband had the Golden burger which was equally as tasty. My rave review would be for the garlic fries, which were hot, and well seasoned with garlic and herbs. Would we come again? Great local bar with the best burgers. This hole-in-the-wall will truly surprise you. Lived on Blackstone Blvd for a year before I tried out this spot and now it is my favorite place to go when my 'gansett and burger cravings get the better of me. The place is totally no nonsense, it is not trying to be or pretending to be anything. It is a cozy bar with quick service, straight forward menu with quality fresh food....did I mention their burgers? Oh, and the Mir hot stone bowl is, as many other Yelpers have written, delicious! This may not be the place to take someone on a first date, but it is a great place to meet up with friends and hang out drinking and snacking for an hour or two. The Ivy is the best low key burger spot in Providence--hands down! I am always hard pressed when trying to decide on what to order, because everything here is good. Personal favorite is the Goldenburger, but the Bibimbap is also out of this world. The beers are very well priced so it's also a great spot to sit and have a drink, it can get busy when there's a game though so definitely consider that if you're trying to eat fast. Delicious neighborhood staple! Their Ivy burger is reliably scrumptious. Beef short rib sandwich and beef bulgogi sandwich are great also. I had the Yacht Club sandwich once and it was delish but a mess, had to eat it with a knife and fork. Onion rings are super though I always feel like a pig if I order them as an appetizer and then eat a burger and fries also. As others have noted, the hidden gem is the fish and chips:huge fresh-tasting piece of fried cod. Yum! Took the monster-in-law here once and she had the bibimbap and seemed pleased with it. My only quibble is sometimes the burger tastes waaaay undersalted. Not always, but sometimes. I also wish you could get blue cheese on your burger but they don't have it.Anyway, who cares? Just order cheddar and sprinkle some salt on your burger. And order a martini: they make great ones. read more

I appreciate a good, juicy burger. I truly do. However, on both my visits to the Ivy Tavern, I succumbed to their vegetarian option: the Accidental Purist. I cannot recommend it enough! It's a veggie patty topped with good quality brie, apple slices, and caramelised onions, slathered with just the right amount of tomato marmalade, and sandwiched between two buns. In other words, it is vegetarian perfection--even for a meat eater like me. The beer selection is pretty excellent as well. They even have one of my favourites, the Dogfish Head 60-Minute IPA, for a reasonable price. Score! It goes swimmingly well with that Accidental Purist. I spend a lot of time on Hope Street, and I've tried every restaurant on the block, but somehow, Ivy Tavern has alluded me for several years. Last night, after noticing several glowing Yelp reviews, I decided it was time to give it a shot. Maybe it was an off night, but I have no plans to ever return to Ivy Tavern. For starters, it took thirty minutes to get a drink. Not a great first introduction, but I was willing to be patient. After all, there was only one waitress, and I did read all those glowing Yelp reviews... About 45 minutes in we received our Caesar salads and an order of garlic fries. The fries were all right, certainly nothing memorable. The salads on the other hand were extremely memorable. Have you ever eaten a large portion of extremely strong garlic--that peppery burning feeling? That pretty much describes the dressing. I literally started choking and coughing. Now, I'm a garlic lover (I ordered the garlic fries, remember), but the salads weren't edible. I'm not someone to complain or send food back. I've probably done it three or four times in my life. This was one of those times. The waitress was apologetic, and removed the salads from our bill, but she clearly isn't super comfortable handling customers. Finally, about an hour after we arrived, the burgers landed. I had a Golden burger. It was pretty good. I honestly have no idea why everyone is raving about these burgers. It was tasty, but certainly not one of the best I've ever had, and not good enough to overcome the rest of the evening. Finally, the bill came. $55 for some burgers & fries, fish & chips and a couple beers is definitely not worth it. I'm really disappointed. I like this place. They don't have a ton of vegetarian dishes on the menu, but they do have an excellent selection of interesting beer, which kind of makes it ok that I don't have a ton of food choices. The fish and chips is excellent--among the best I've had in my life; salads are always good, and I had some kind of eggplant sandwich that was also kick ass. I got lucky today with parking and got the spot right in front of the place. It's curb parking so it will be a challenge. The seafood chowder was really good but kind of hoped for a little more seafood. There was fresh garlic (love garlic) on the fries which was ok but was lacking a little flavor. I'd probably get the regular fries next time. It seemed a little tight but a decent spot. If I'm in the area again I'd definitely try something else on the menu like their burgers or something. Great place for a casual night of beer and pub food. The menu is oddly korean inspired, but the food is yummy. I've tried the Ivy Burger and the Bibimbap. The Bibimbap, while not the most authentic, was really yummy and looked beautiful plated. The Ivy Burger (which is 6 bucks on Monday nights after 5PM) was sadly underwhelming for my given all the rave reviews here. We ordered it medium and it was definitely well-done, barely any pink on it. We payed the extra dollar for the garlic fries and wow! they were awesome fries. The beer list is okay. Not the best selection I've ever seen at a pub. They ran out of the Lagunitas and so I was a bit disappointed. Great service. Ambiance is relaxed and sport-bar-like. Great place to watch the Olympics or any other sporting event. Even on a weekday evening, there always seems to be people here hanging out. I would definitely come back! read more

If you're looking for comfort food, good brew and a great place to watch sports look no further than the Ivy Tavern. The moment you walk into that little pub on Hope Street you just feel welcomed. The bartender always greets you with a hello, and is full of hospitality for your entire stay. Swanky or chic it is not, but they have cornered the pub market in the most authentic way. Small, wooden, warm (a little worn) and intimate--the way a pub should be. Not that I have children, but the place is absolutely family friendly, much like a pub you'd see in Europe. It's refreshing. If you aren't sold yet, the food is actually really good. The "accidental pursuit" feels more artisan than pub-like. Imagine a homemade veggie burger patty smothered in brie cheese, caramelized onions and crisp apple slices. My mouth's watering just thinking about it! My only issue with this nearly perfect pub is a slightly sketchy, sort of rickety bathroom. I must grudgingly -1 star for that. read more

Great, strong drinks, garlic fries and the Accidental Purist burger. What more can a girl ask for? It's small, so it gets super crowded, but it's one of my favorite places in the city to watch the Sox. read more

Awesome, delicious pub food. Some of the best 1/2 pound burgers out there - get the garlic fries with it! Can't go wrong. Don't be afraid to order a cocktail here. Rob pours a great one, especially his Manhattan. They always have some nice bourbons available and you'll usually get a "bonus" shaker on the side if he happens to mix a little extra. I also love the steamed mussels and definitely appreciate the Guinness on tap. read more

Mmm mmm good. I'm pretty confident that this is the Best Burger in Providence. Not just because it's juicy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and can be dressed up any way you want, but because on Mondays, it's six freakin' bucks. Yes, sir. Six bucks for an Ivy Burger. It'd be silly for me to re-summarize the praises sung by other Yelpers about the atmosphere, beer selection, and decor. It's totally worth a visit. read more

Stopped in for a beer and a burger. Burger was pretty tasty, but I ordered it medium and it came well done. I added mushrooms and cheese to the Ivy burger. Looking forward to coming back to try some of the other menu items. read more
