Visiting from Austin and stopped at this coffee shop. Great customer service and coffee. Highly recommend!

Chocolate chip cookie was 10/10! The service was great and kind folks. Wrong times posted online so went to closed location is the only reason I can't give a 5/5.

Warm & dimly lit coffee shop with local art displayed on the walls. I feel like this cafe was once an old dive bar (?) based off of the graffiti-style bathroom ~ has a lot of personality Things you should know: I. PARKING The most convenient spot is along the street outside the shop. It's prepay street parking. I'm unsure if there's somewhere you can park where there is validation. II. SERVICE Friendly staff III. QUALITY We just ordered a house coffee and it did the trick IV. CAPACITY Fair amount of available seats for a week day early-evening

Izzy's Coffee is a hip little spot downtown to grab up a tasty roast. There are an array of options here! I went with the cold brew and it was the perfect pick me up. All of the iced lattes looked delicious, I can't wait to come back. The barista was super friendly and helpful in choosing the right coffee for me. Give Izzy's a try, it will be your new favorite in AVL!

When I go to Asheville, I always go to Dobra Tea to unwind (after blocks of shopping up and down the blocks nearby!)...so this time, decided to check out Izzy's right next door instead. Well, the place is very Boho/Grunge....or maybe it'd be considered Hipster? Super-casual though...with some funky artworks slapped on the wall (purposefully unevenly?). Speaking of funky, their bathroom wallpaper was full-on graffiti. Kinda fun, I guess. There were also a few tables and chairs scattered throughout the place, but I didn't find the ambiance too inviting. I just decided to get the basic Iced Latte (Vanilla), which came in a quite basic plastic cup...also with a cheap straw. Not much marketing going into their drinks, I guess. I also wish there was more ice in the drink. Just not as cold as I usually like it. Still, the drink was relatively cheap, and served its refreshing purpose. I didn't quite love the place, but am certainly glad it was there. Given how I keep returning to Downtown Asheville for shopping, I'm sure to revisit.

Mexican Mocha . What a perfect way to warn your body and soul! Good service. Thick drink with just the right amount of cayenne. I asked for light in the cinnamon and it tasted perfect. . Big fan. Rocking out to the punk version of rock lobster i think. . Good vibes.

When I think of coffee & tea shops Izzy's comes to mind. Dark, comfortable, sparse interior with plenty of seats. The staff (one guy this early Monday morning) is friendly, casual, and quick. The full leaf tea (not everyone goes to the trouble) was delicious and competitively priced. This is a terrific place.

Great place to get really good coffee drinks. They tend to keep the variety up with trying loads of different coffee producers and roasters. Always a treat.

Hands down the best coffee shop in Asheville (from my experience). I came back to Izzy's every morning I was in town because the latte's were so phenomenal and unique. Izzy's had a cute inside to sit and chat as well as a relaxed staff who always had service with a smile. Drinks, no matter how elaborate, were made quickly which is always a plus.

Their espresso martini is probably the best I've ever had -- perfectly balanced, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink. Every bartender here is incredibly knowledgeable. They can make anything you ask for and then walk you through the history and origins of the cocktail like you're getting a mini masterclass with your drink. The bar itself is beautiful, with an impressive selection of spirits and a menu full of creative cocktails featuring ingredient combinations you'd never expect to work together -- but somehow they absolutely do. It's also one of the best places in the city to sit back and people-watch while enjoying a perfectly made drink. Do not skip The Times -- honestly, it's worth going out of your way to stop there.

We each ordered individually, but tasted everyone's dish. Beef Tartare: beautifully presented and well balanced. Served with fried saltines (seasoned with Old Bay seasoning). Wood Grilled Asparagus: perfection! Absolutely LOVED the sauce gribiche! Braised Rabbit and Nettle Cavatelli: I thought this dish was stunning. The texture of the cavatelli could not be better and the flavors melded well together. Lardon added savoriness while the pickled ramps balanced the palate. Soft Herb & Pea Risotto: loved this in terms of texture but needed a touch of salt. We added a pinch of their house special salt (mined from a 100 year old salt mine), and it did the trick! Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle: this was my favorite item, though also, requiring a pinch of salt. I really appreciated that the truffle oil did not overpower the dish (that's a pet peeve of mine). We were provided with some truffle salt to enhance savoriness, which absolutely lifted the pasta to another level. Service all around was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend if you're in town!

Tucked away near the end of Broadway, Rowan possesses a warm and understated charm. The soft lighting and calm atmosphere create a cozy ambiance that exudes thoughtfully curated design, while the gentle hum of conversation and espresso machines add a touch of life to the space. It's the kind of coffee shop where rainy afternoons feel like a cinematic scene from your favorite film. Recently, I met a date here, as Rowan seemed like the perfect setting for such a memorable beginning. After we greeted one another with an intimate kiss just outside the doors of Rowan Coffee, I observed a Duchenne smile flash across her face before we embarked on what became an emotionally recursive, psychologically layered Asheville odyssey, as we explored Malaprop's Bookstore, the Grove Arcade, Wall Street, Pack Square Park, I.M. Pei's connection to structures outside both the Louvre and the Asheville Art Museum, French Broad Chocolate, Cúrate, and the South Slope. The coffee at Rowan is truly exceptional. Each cup is thoughtfully crafted, balanced, and served with care by passionate baristas. It can be rather challenging to find premium cold brew these days, but the cold brew on offer here is some of the best I've found in Asheville. Whether you're enjoying a cappuccino, catching up with a friend, or studying/working near the back, Rowan provides the perfect atmosphere for unwinding and savoring the moment. My date ordered a mocha that morning, and based on the enthusiasm with which it disappeared, I'd be remiss not to mention it. The mochas are so good here that girls do circle back. And if you don't, you're missing out. What truly sets Rowan apart is its comfort. It's an intimate space without being overcrowded; it's stylish without being pretentious. It encourages conversation, reflection, and even accidental three-hour stays.
