Fast, efficient, hard working, responsive, friendly, helpful, nice staff and business. They copy car keys for a reasonable price and they have a physical store. They also fix broken car locks if needed. I called them and they were super responsive. I texted them pics of my keys to see if they made them and they responded asap. My copy of my Fiat 2013 Turbo 500 was $225. My Smart car copy was $250. Done. AC inside store and has a waiting area w chairs. Credit card minimum is $25. Thank you! read more

I went in to their Cicero location to program 2 extra remotes for my 2006 VW rabbit. I was quoted $65 over the phone and when I first walked in. I was told later that because of the complexity of the process that it would be $125. After an unsuccess attempt at programming the remotes I was told that the charge was now $250 for the work done on the two remotes. They then said it was now $125 to program each remote which is not how remotes are programed. You program all the remotes at the same time so there is only one charge. I was finally charged only $125 and I was glad to get out of there. read more

After breaking her key in half, my wife needed a new one for her 05 Durango. The dealer wanted over $400 for new key and to program it to the truck. This place was literally half the price for a replacement and fixed the broken key for $60. The people here a courteous and capable. I was impressed how one kept her composure when she was dealing with a difficult customer (an obvious mentally challenged Karen) and delivered stellar service in the face of a stressful situation. read more

wouldn't recommend this place, I recently took my car that had problem with key Ignition Lock Solenoid. I was advised it was to expensive from the employee to purchase the piece and replace it. I tried to explain to the RUDE employee that I wanted it changed however; he kept ignoring my concerns. I was charged almost 100 dollar to remove the piece only and nothing else. I paid and when I got home decided to research the part. The part only cost 20 bucks from GMC to purchase. They scammed us good. Beware of this place. read more

Their technician caused a problem with the trunk lock in my car. He did not tell me about this which is obviously unethical. I then took my car to their shop. Their manager wanted $120.00 to fix a problem they created. I got it fixed elsewhere for $10. J & A will obviously rip you off and scam you every chance they get. Never patronize them. The dealer wanted over $300 for a spare transponder key so I was referred to this place. I called first to ask if they do it and I was quoted $45. I headed straight over and in less than a half hour I had a new spare key that worked perfectly! I was so impressed and asked about a spare key fob. The owner said it would be $70 but he was so refreshingly honest that he said I really don't even need one because if I so happen to lose my original key and fob and set the alarm off, all I have to do is put the new spare in and start the engine and the alarm will turn off. I was so impressed by the knowledge, professionalism, and prices that I would definitely use them again if needed, and always refer anyone I know there. Thanks guys!!! read more

I went to have to transponder keys made for my '09 Nissan Versa. The service was fast and the staff were all extremely friendly. The reason for the one star rating is that when I returned to my car and turned it on, my wheel was turned all the way upside down, the electronic power steering system was no longer working and neither was my cruise control (also an electronic system). I called the store to ask whether or not the guy who programmed my keys noticed anything strange. The man who answered the phone quickly shut me down saying they had nothing to do with the problem and rushed me off the phone. Now I am stuck to take my car to a mechanic to fix a problem that I know was caused by them without them taking any responsibility or even offering to check it out. read more

I call to ask about programming for a spare key for my 2012 Mercedes Benz E350 and the staff there is very nice, helpful, and respond to any questions I had. Before I take my car there they said it takes about 2hrs to program my car key but it only take him 30mins and it's done very fast service. When I came in the stuff is really nice and greeted me right away. The owner who program my key is very nice and knows what he doing. Came at 6:56 pm today and there closing time was at 7:00pm had some key fobs I bought on the Internet and was very helpful in explaining that one of the key was made wrong and that it might not work. Call with a issue about my remote starting system and was informed that I had a lifetime warranty and told to come in at a specific time, once arriving the gentleman goes out inspect my vehicle and comes back in and tells me that it's working fine at the moment. I explained to him exactly how the system is malfunctioning and ask him if he can reset the unit and he says yes do you have a receipt. I explained to him that I do not have a receipt and that the woman did not inform me that I needed to bring a receipt with me for validation and confirmation that they did in fact install a system of their own in my vehicle. Now to reset the unit he wants to charge me a fee and I'm not paying it. In today's era with with the technology that we have you need to do something where as you can save this information on your system about the people that you install your equipment in. read more

J & A sold me a remote for $60 and they programmed it. $66 and some change after tax. It was an OEM factory 2005 Chevy Cobalt remote. I got there early just after they opened during the week. They took care of me fairly quickly. There were also other customers in front of me. They were being helped by others. The dealer wanted $82.46 before tax for the remote and $72.50 for programming. $154.96 plus tax for the same remote! Thank you J & A you guys do great work. got a key from not even it was july 4. my car stop on me on july 27 went to start my car. it would not start comes to find out the key was not working on my car .so i took my car to dealer to see what was wrong with it . the dealer said the key did not work so i went into the store for my money the key they saying no refunds but you did not do the job the key is not working bring the car to get a new key i got one now why do i need you to make me a key ? with cost me 1200 for a new key and a battery. from and audi dealer its best to go to audi for key because whatever that using kick out my battery and the key was bogus. then i get in there we don't pay for battery on the wall. so this not the first time this happen before. awaiting on a call from the owner because this default key my life was in danger and my window was bust . i need my money back or we going to court for period. read more

The worst customer service! I was referred to this key company by Chicago Car Center who provided me a broken key, they reassured me that J & A would provide me a new key if I provided a waiver. The young lady whom I spoke to today stated that I needed to have someone from Chicago Car Center give them a call in order to assist me or to schedule an appointment. I than asked "even if I provide you guys with a waiver" she replied " or you can walk in with the waiver but we cannot say when the keys will be ready." So I immediately asked if I could send a waiver to their email so I wouldn't have to make double the trips. She replied with attitude "what do you need our email for ?" Maybe she had a long day but being a customer service manager myself I know this is unacceptable and unprofessional! read more
