BUYER BEWARE. I've used cleaners for 10 years and have never had a terrible experience like this. There's a reason for all these one star reviews. 1- They left half an hour early. I purchased the Groupon for 3.5 hours. They raced out my door half an hour early, without even telling me. One girl asked me to help her with the garage door, and when I did the second raced out and said "BYE!" And they zoomed off in their car. I didn't even know what happened. 2- They somehow stained my kitchen counter then covered it with bowls and left. 3 - There were TONS of dirty areas left on my floors, counters, etc. Even a cooking pot full of dirty dish water. 4- THEY STOLE MY DMV REGISTRATION STICKER. I had the DMV envelope in a stack on my counter. It is magically the ONLY envelope missing and no one has been in my house. I called and spoke to the manager Edwin hoping he would be professional. Not only did he not apologize, he doubled down and refused to admit any fault. I literally have an entire screenshot library of texts and photos I sent after they left. TLDR : Never again will I trust a business w so many varied reviews. Learn from my mistake. read more

J & C Pro Cleaners - They made a stain, covered it up with bowls, and left 30 min early. And stole my DMV registration envelope. - Home Cleaning Near Me - Los Angeles, California

This is the first time they came out to my home for a deep clean. 3 ladies showed up (Rebecca, Rosemary, and Maria) for almost 3 hours. I wanted to surprise my wife for early Mother's Day with clean house! I ended up ordering a deep housecleaning. They cleaned all my baseboards, ceiling fans and light fixtures. In the kitchen they cleaned the stove and the oven and also wiped out the refrigerator. In the bathroom they even cleaned the walls as well as the baseboards. They also cleaned the exhaust fan and the ceiling was dirty too! The tile on the chrome in the tub we're also cleaned very nicely as well. They also cleaned the stainless steel on the stove and the refrigerator. All the kitchen cabinets were also wiped down and polished. Oh I forgot they cleaned the inside of the windows as well as the windowsills and my sliding glass door. When my wife walked through the house she was completely surprised. She asked me if I clean the house and I said that I did... She knew I hired someone. She was very happy with the job that was done and we are contemplating on hiring them on a monthly basis to keep things up. read more

I've been calling for over 2 weeks to make 2 follow up appointments after a great first visit last month. No call back what gives?

Honestly worst cleaning company I've used. Extremely unprofessional and backed out on agreements. First they were an hour late. Then when cleaners came the guy who answers the phone tried getting me to pay $100+ more although we discussed it was a deep cleaning for move out. Said prior to pay after they cleaned over phone and when they arrived the guy who answers the phone said he never said that. When I was upset he insulted me over the phone. It was the best cleaning experience I have had in years! From the start--Edwin on the phone was so courteous, and booked a crew for the next day, as I had hoped! Shailey and Maria were a dream team! Polite young ladies. They worked seemingly effortlessly fast, but left no trace of dust or dirt behind. They were personal and attentive to my needs, and gave a sweet nod to my dog. They were no shows twice with zero notification. Did not return phone calls in a timely manner. Quite often it took days. Took no responsibility nor did they apologize. The final straw is the promise to call back again to handle my complaint and did not. I wasted 2 days where I left work earlier or came in late to try to accommodate them. I sent an even more detailed timeline of their unprofessionalism and failure to perform to Groupon and they refunded my purchase. Would NEVER use them. read more

I was eager to try this service. Last week I purchased a groupon to try it out. When I called to schedule the appointment I was informed that I had purchased outside of the promotional area and I'd need to pay full price and that I couldn't use the purchase value of the groupon towards my purchase. I contacted groupon, got a refund on that purchase and scheduled my 2.5 hour cleaning service for this morning at 8 am. I was informed that someone would be at my house at 7:45. At 8:00 I called the number to see where they were. The gentleman who answered said that they had had a "vehicle incident" and wouldn't be able to get to my house until between 9 and 10 and that someone would be there 15 minutes before the cleaners to meet with me. I should have been informed that they were running late instead of me having to call them. At 9:45, still no sign anyone from J & C Pro Cleaners. I called back, a woman answered the phone and said she was 25 minutes away and asked if I could wait. I said I could wait, but no more than 25 minutes. At 10:25 (her 25 minute estimate + 15 minute grace period) I called the contact number, left a message and left my house, still no sign of J & C Pro Cleaners. The woman called me at 10:30, 45 minutes after her previous estimated time and 2.5 hours after my service was supposed to start. She claimed she was at my house but couldn't find the house number. I informed her I had left because she was so late and I couldn't miss anymore work. I understand if issues arise that result in service providers being late; however, I should not have to call for updates, those should be provided. I should not have to be strung along hoping for them to arrive, I should get accurate updates and arrival times. I'm sorry it didn't work out, but I'll be trying someone new. read more

Worst cleaners I have ever used. They were scheduled to come between 12pm and 12:30pm. After attempting to contact them multiple times, I received a call from their office telling me they weren't going to show at the correct time, but would show up in an hour (1:30pm). Nobody showed at 1:30pm so I called again and they said they would arrive in "10 minutes." Called them again at 1:45pm and they said they were at the wrong address and would be there in 30 mins. They FINALLY showed at 2:30pm - 2.5 hours late! I called their office to complain and the guy I spoke to blamed it on traffic, then directing them to the wrong address, excuses, excuses, excuses. I asked if they could make up for the time I wasted and for having me drive back and forth from home to work 3 times. He said "sorry we can't do anything mistakes happen." After hearing the same excuses and arguing for 10 mins, he finally informed me that they would send 3 cleaners instead of 2. I was happy that I got at least something out of wasting half a work day. When they showed up, one of the "cleaners" was obviously a daughter of one of the hired cleaners - she might have been the third that was promised. They tried to hide her from me in a very weird way, where she was told to start cleaning our second floor before I even told them what I wanted. I had left during the duration of the cleaning due to missing so much work. When I came home I arrived to a shitshow. They cleaned the very bare minimum and left our place in disarray. My cat was crying because they had pushed his bowl under our bar area and he couldn't get to his food. One of our glasses were cracked, our sliced bread was placed in the dish drying rack, our couch was not cleaned of the cat hair as I requested and the pillows were thrown across it randomly, they used a cleaner on my record player that stripped some of the protective plastic off of it, they did not take out the trash like I requested. THIEVES???? J and C Pro- Cleaners Their Yelp reviews were generally positive and I trusted Josue, the owner. I was stunned with what transpired the day they came out. (His cleaning ladies did a good cleaning job --though pricey at $32 per hour per maid.) Josue did little cleaning and was busy on his phone the entire 4 hours. It was SHOCKING and I would never hire this service again. The story is as follows: I was meeting the service to do an after moveout cleanup of my tenants. Josue, was personable on the phone and I trusted him. He's a fast talker.... I was running about 20 minutes late, so I told him to open the house with the hidden key, because I thought it was better for him to start cleaning & not waiting around for me. When I got to the house, I noticed that my $400 MIele Vacuum, an Italian antique lamp, some decorative wooden bowls and several All-clad stainless steel pans were all missing. I exclaimed out loud, "I can't believe my tenants would move-out with my vacuum, pots and beautiful antique lamp that I had loaned them !" I was upset and truly believed my tenants accidentally moved out w/my stuff. I then texted them and they said they absolutely did not take my things. I knew something was very wrong.... A couple hours later, Josue tells me that his worker put my vacuum in their van, because he mistook my vintage, unique Miele vacuum for his Miele vac. It seemed like a good excuse. He then went out to the van and returned my vacuum to the house. That evening as I lay on my bed, I realized that my antique lamp was returned too, mysteriously. Josue must have gotten spooked when I declared that my stuff was missing. Then he decided he better return the stuff to avoid trouble. These people are SCARY!! It was really shocking and sad too. I called him and he denied taking anything. I wanted the rest of my stuff back, and I never got it back. Very sad, he thought the items the tenants left behind, he could just help himself to. Josue is friendly and dishonest -a thief ...scary- scary - scary. What's also sad, is that his cleaning ladies seemed very nice & the ladies did a good cleaning job. I wonder how well he treats them? I suggest you STAY AWAY from JOSUE's service, or hide your valuables before letting him into your place!!! They may be illegals from South America.. I may file a police report. read more

Did a great job upon initial inspection. Great customer service, and hard work, for sure. Upon a second, closer look later on, there were some pretty basic things that seemed to be missed in both the bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom walls still had stray dust, smudges and hairs all over them. I had to go back over them myself. The kitchen counters and shelves look great, but the things ON the shelves were still caked in their pre-clean dust. Such a shame. I had to go back over those too Also, all of the trash cans were left without new bags. They did a pretty good job, otherwise, and ultimately saved me the 3.5 hours it took to clean. I'm 100% satisfied with The service josh and his crew provided. We just finished renovating our new house, so a lot dust and dirt are left behind. Also, the previous owner probably hasn't cleaned the windows and inside closets for 10+ years. The crew cleaned the entire house, including all the windows (inside and outside). Josh did a quality check, and cleaned some more after the check. I'm very impressed with the professionalism and high standard of Josh for his business. It's hard to know where to start. First getting a call back to verify an appointment is impossible. Secondly the cleaners came 45 minutes early and no one was home. They told us they would be back between 12:15 and 12:30 and didn't come until 1:30. They did about 70% of what they were paid to do and were ready to leave when we pointed out all they had missed. When they went back to clean the sink, where we had told them to use cleanser, the were cleaning it with paper towels and water. This was the third time and last time we use them. We keep a decently clean house, but there are some things that just never feel the rough end of a sponge: the inside of the microwave, the top of the fridge, those crevices in the bathroom between the sink and the shower... I finally realized that I am never going to be the one to do those things. I'll own it: I need professional help. Josue and his employee (whose name has escaped me) were super professional, friendly, and good-natured. They did an absolutely incredible job with our kitchen and bathroom deep cleaning- there were various stains on the kitchen counter AND floor which despite our best attempts with various cleaners and elbow grease, had seemingly become permanent. We were surprised to find that J & C had magically made them disappear- what is their secret?! And the toaster oven- oh, the toaster oven! We thought we had done all that could be done- but they somehow managed to bring a sad, stained toaster door back to life again- restoring it to its original purpose of showing you when your bagels are browning! I could go on, but the point is- they did an absolutely phenomenal job and they really seemed to know their stuff- Josue gave me some helpful tips on how to clean window screens, which I'll be utilizing soon. Different cleaner team this time (Lucy & Art) and they did a fantastic job. I'm not sure what black magic they had to perform to get my crusty shower doors crystal clear, but the whole bathroom is AMAZING. had high hopes for these guys and was looking forward to having an on-going service with them. too bad they're losing out on continued business. what a bad practice. bought a voucher from groupon to try them out, and had a scheduled appointment for today. they called around our appt time to say they had to cancel, because they supposedly couldn't find parking after circling for only a couple times. given that these guys must clean everywhere in LA, isn't this stuff suppose to be accounted for when doing a cleaning service? to have to cancel because they took 2 tries to find parking, is absolutely unacceptable. first of all, we live in DTLA. we are in south park where the parking is NEVEERRRRR problematic. Like ever. We have friends and clients visit the apartment all the time. The response to canceling and rescheduling was frustrating to deal with as we cleared our day and made sure to have someone home. highly don't recommend! read more

I bought a Groupon for 5 hours of cleaning for $199. I have used cleaning services before, but this one was by far the worse. They were supposed to arrive at 10:30 a.m. but didn't arrive until 3:30 p.m., and although they were supposed to clean for 5 hours, they were gone in an hour and a half. The cleaning (if you can call it that) amounted to some dusting and the toilets were not scrubbed, the floors were not mopped and they apparently don't clean the refrigerators. Very disappointed and will NEVER use them again! Save your money! read more

Rebecca and Christina did a fantastic job on our home. We booked a 3.5 hour service, and it was enough time for a pretty thorough cleaning of our entire house, which is about 2000 sq feet. They even cleaned the insides of our microwave and oven and shined up the kitchen appliances that we have on the counters and shelves that sit and collect dust from not being used. Even after we settled up the payment and tip, I saw Christina sweeping our front patio while Rebecca loaded the car. Awful company. I bought a LivingSocial deal, only to be told by them I had to pay more money because of where I live. When I explained that I am 12 miles away from the zip code listed on LivingSocial (in the fine print, it said I had to be within 15), they said it's wrong and LS's fault and they won't honor the deal unless I pay more. When I refused, I was told, and I quote, "I don't like dealing with cheap people." Literally every other cleaning service in California is more deserving of your money than these people. When I told the guy on the phone that I was going to write this review, based on his terrible attitude/position, he told me he'd post a reply with a fake story to make me look bad. Just awful. This review was originally written on my wife's Yelp account, because she is my wife, thus we shared the same experience, and she is the main Yelper in our household. The owner of this awful company complained to Yelp about it, claiming it was a "from a fake account." He took no issue with the review itself, or did he try to claim any of my account did not happen. He only took issue with the fact that it as written by Nicole G and not Mike H. Well, here you go, a review from Mike, the guy he tried to scam for more money. Booked an initial cleaning via a Groupon coupon to test them out as a potential long-term arrangement. After checking their website for cities they cover and seeing mine on the list (Pasadena), I went ahead and booked... only to be told that Pasadena is outside their range and subject to a $20 additional fee. Ok, bad start. After confirming the appointment, I waited and waited on the morning in question. Nobody showed up, no call, nothing ... even after I left two phone messages. I was struggling b/w 2 or 3 stars, but settled on 2 just because thinking back on the experience brought back all my frustrations again. Initially, I had an appointment for 1pm on Saturday (the only reason I even went with them is because they had this availability). Received a call Saturday morning saying that he was short staffed so my appointment would be moved to "around 3" because he could not promise that they would be there at 3pm (I GUESSSS). I then receive an email that my appointment would be at 3:30pm (I do appluad them for sending out email updates/reminders) only to receive a call saying that they are now running even more late and that the earliest they could come was 5:15pm. That did not work for me since I had plans in the evening, so we rescheduled to the following day at 5pm. My main issue is that if you saw how backed up you were, you should have just initially rescheduled me to another day instead of having me wait around at home all day for nothing. I understand that you can be short-staffed if someone calls in sick or something, but I dont think they are great at scheduling appointments and managing time (will get to this more later). So come 5pm the next day..where was the cleaner that was supposed to be here? Nowhere to be seen. I received a call from the owner around 5:15 saying that the cleaner was stuck in traffic, and should be there in no less than 15 minutes because she was coming from San Pedro (I live in West Hollywood). Turns out, she was at another residence cleaning until 4:30 so I dont understand for the life of me why they scheduled her at 5pm for my cleaning when it takes longer than 30 mintues to get from San Pedro to Weho with NO traffic. She arrives an hour late (6pm) and apologized for being late (she seemed shock when I told her that I was waiting for an hour for her..she didnt know she was supposed to be here at 5pm? which also didnt make sense to me). She did do a good job cleaning the place.. after she left I realized that she didnt dust on top of the fridge and some of the higher up places, but otherwise she did a good job (and was really nice). CUSTOMER BEWARE!!! I wish I didn't have to give any stars! Worst customer service experience ever! Called to book a Groupon cleaning last week AND today but got attitude, lies and disrespect instead. After lying to me about taking my information previously, "the owner" (who was unorganised and rude) decided to "not do business with the likes of me" simply because I requested the name of the cleaner that would be coming to my house. I did not want to give my email again also since at this point I felt uneasy about the whole situation but he said I must for the confirmation email and that "they would not sell my info or anything." Very reassuring..... So I guess if you want to offer up all your personal info to an unorganised company who doesn't want you to ask any questions regarding the service....this is the company for you!!! I just had the worst experience with J&C Pro Cleaners and had them leave before they even started. Their business ethics and customer service are severely lacking. Josue's communication is also very poor. They tried to charge us more than five times their advertised price! After "negotiating", they came down to nearly double their advertised price, which is still a rip-off. Shame on Josue and his team. So shady. My wife and I own a luxury vacation home that just finished an extensive remodel and is about ready to go on the market for hotel-style rentals on Airbnb. We were looking for a cleaning crew who would be able to clean our house in between guests and set it up hotel-style after cleaning and follow a custom checklist. I thought Josue was my guy, we spoke at length on the phone to go over my needs, and he was very reassuring that he knew what I was looking for and he could provide it. I could not have been more wrong! Before they came, Josue did not reply to any phone calls or emails and I thought I would have to fire him before the job even started... little did I know that I would have to do that anyways! I finally reached him on the phone a couple days ago and he apologized for going MIA, but didn't give a satisfactory response. I explained the importance of reliability and punctuality for a hotel-style job and he said he understood and agreed with me. Josue and two people from his crew showed up a half hour late! We gave them a tour, went over what we went on over the phone, and summarize the job. We also introduced the crew to a couple workmen who were still in the home installing the appliances in the kitchen, and who assured the crew they would be gone within an hour and the crew can start in the bedrooms and bathrooms before going to the kitchen. I could not remember the exact prices we agreed upon, however, I knew it was somewhere between $250-300 for the initial deep clean and $120-180 for the repeated cleanings, so I asked what the exact price was. Josue started talking with his crew in Spanish about what to charge us, and I heard one of the guys say $1700 for the initial deep clean. I may have misinterpreted (although my wife heard the same thing I did), but I made it clear that $1700 does not make any sense at all. It got uncomfortable so we left the room so Josue and his crew could speak privately. Josue came out and said they can do it for $700, and during the conversation he said he talked his crew down from $1200. We were completely alarmed at that price as it does not appear to be based in reality and is higher than their published price list and also the price we had agreed upon in advance. They were unable to give a satisfactory explanation for why the price was so high. Their first explanation was that "it could take up to five hours". We discussed back and forth without any numbers, until finally they asked what the number would be and I said "what do you charge per hour?" and Josue said "$32.50 per worker", which we verified by looking on his website. So I said "no problem, five hours times three workers" and the math came out $487.50. They said they would not do it for that price, because it might take longer (even though they said UP to five hours) and I said "fine, you do the job, and however long it takes, you multiply it by three workers and we pay $32.50 per hour, just like you advertise". Believe it or not, but they said no! We argued with Josue about why they would not work for their own advertised price of $32.50 per hour. Indisputably, this should be considered by all parties a fair price. We won't pay for more than their hourly rate and they won't get stuck working for less than their normal hourly rate. We got a lot of weird excuses like "we didn't know you had just finished a remodel" (he did), "we have to clean the grout" (so what?), "there are workmen in the home" (they'll be in a different room and gone within the hour), "we have insurance and liability and this is risky because there are workmen in the home" (they'll be gone in an hour and won't interfere and thus should not increase liability), and a number of other reasons that didn't make sense. Finally, I paused the discussion and explained that we were looking for a long-term business relationship, and they need to be honest and honor their prices and not charge us more than their advertised prices. It was clear they wanted the job long-term, so I cannot understand why they were trying to price-gouge me tonight. I explained that we cannot negotiate any further and they have two options: perform the work for their advertised hourly rate of which I will pay in FULL, or leave my house and we will not bring them back for any cleanings. They chose to leave. I don't know why, but they did. This unfortunate experience was not just disappointing, but surreal. I think they saw how nice our house was and thought they could squeeze more money out of us. Sorry Josue, but I'm not stupid. read more

I have used J & C Pro Cleaners for a deep clean twice now. And not only am I picky, but I'm expecting my child in a few months so I was focused on finding a regular, reliable, punctual, and thorough cleaning service or house cleaner to clean our very dirty house! Well, wait and search no more! My husband and I probably went through a few services and word of mouth individual cleaners before we found Josue and his team. Having two cats, two dogs, a chinchilla, three adults, and expecting a child, we really need a deep clean on a regular basis. So Josue not only accommodates my changing schedule on an instant's notice and sends his best people, but he works with my specific needs to make sure it's to my ultimate satisfaction ahead of time to meet every expectation. I cannot say enough about the team's attention to detail and thoroughness, but the courtesy and professionalism coupled with an willingness to go the extra mile really is the best example of an excellent customer experience in my book. One of the cleaners is even extra sweet to my animals so they can get very comfortable with her while they're at my house. (How amazing is that!) Thank you Josue and team for having my search come to an end! TIP TO CUSTOMER: Make sure you are upfront about your expectations before the appointment and disclose your concerns and areas of extra focus so you get exactly what you need.
