It's also within walking distance of my house so I don't have to pay for an Uber/wait for a ride when I drop or pick my car back up. I've had an oil change done here, a front headlight replaced, and they fixed a recurring issue I was having w/my blind spot detection system and key fob -- the latter something my prior mechanic was not able to fix for some reason. The blind spot detection system error light did come back on after about a week, but I think it requires more than just resetting the code/calibrating. I will just live w/that for now. The only demerit I would give is for when your car is ready. Each time I've dropped off, I've been told the shop would call me when they had an update or when the work was fixed (expecting 2 calls), but I never got any calls each visit -- I had to physically call and usually had to leave a voicemail which was not always returned. They are pretty busy so I get it, but you would think they'd want to call you to get your car out of there to clear up the queue when it was done. The last time I went -- I had initially dropped my car off around 8:15am or so and didn't hear back around 3:45pm yet (was told to expect an update around 11-12p) -- so I was forced to walk there, not knowing if my car was ready or not, and after waiting awhile found out my car was ready. It still took another 20-25 minutes to get my bill, pay, and get the car brought up to me based on the size of the lot and the amount of cars that are in that lot (every mechanic seems to have tons of cars in their lot that are not driveable taking up a ton of real estate on premises). It started to rain too and the waiting area itself is quite small inside -- I ended up waiting outside under an awning for my car. They didn't seem to be in any rush to get my vehicle out -- not sure if it was just too busy that day or they are just not that assertive with check out procedures. It'd be nice if even if they didn't call you w/an update, that they'd at least call you when the car was ready and then got you ready to check out fairly quickly, especially if they'd had the car for around 6-7 hours for not incredibly comprehensive service. I will continue to go, but will expect to have to proactively show up towards the end of the day and hope I can get my vehicle out in a reasonable amount of time. Otherwise, they do very solid and affordable work.

He does a great job with the cars, but sometimes the prices seem crazy. I will talk about two different situations. 1. I took my 2001 Toyota Camry to him about a year ago for an overheating issue. He diagnosed it as the radiator and quoted us over our budget. My husband decided to change the radiator himself, so we paid for the diagnosis--about $140--and took our car home. My husband successfully changed the radiator, but the problem was not fixed. We took it back to Ramon, and now he was saying it was the water pump or something else--I forget. I asked him if the $140 would go toward the service, and he said no because the $140 was for the radiator diagnosis. I was obviously upset, but we had no choice but to pay $200+ more to fix the problem. Long story short, that did not fix the problem either. Six months later, we needed to change something else. I told myself I would not go back to him, but my mother-in-law and mom have been to him and trust him. 2. I did, in fact, come back to him after getting a quote from Pep Boys for new struts (all 4) of $2,300+. Ramon quoted me over the phone for OEM replacement at $1,350+ tax. Obviously a better deal. Once we got there and he saw the car, he showed me how my brakes were paper thin, so we added that service too. He did an amazing job on my 2015 Honda Accord--it is driving better than ever! When I went to pick it up, he made sure to do a test drive. He felt something was still off and made sure I didn't drive off with any more issues. Had my car running amazing only 24 hours after dropping it off. After years of back and forth, this last time he proved to me that he does a great job. We will continue to trust Ramon with our vehicles.

I got a call from my insurance company the other day and he is refusing to cooperate, he doesn't want to file a claim with his insurance company, he told the insurance company he would reach out to me on his own and I still have not heard from him. He also did something that I would say is trying to deflect the situation to someone else's fault, he filed a claim with KIA on my behalf. The way I figured he could've told me about when I went to see him and then say hey you can do this with KIA.
