As previously promised, I have continued to bring my cars and my family's cars to Ramon. I'll be honest--it has been a love-hate relationship for us. He does a great job with the cars, but sometimes the prices seem crazy. I will talk about two different situations. 1. I took my 2001 Toyota Camry to him about a year ago for an overheating issue. He diagnosed it as the radiator and quoted us over our budget. My husband decided to change the radiator himself, so we paid for the diagnosis--about $140--and took our car home. My husband successfully changed the radiator, but the problem was not fixed. We took it back to Ramon, and now he was saying it was the water pump or something else--I forget. I asked him if the $140 would go toward the service, and he said no because the $140 was for the radiator diagnosis. I was obviously upset, but we had no choice but to pay $200+ more to fix the problem. Long story short, that did not fix the problem either. Six months later, we needed to change something else. I told myself I would not go back to him, but my mother-in-law and mom have been to him and trust him. 2. I did, in fact, come back to him after getting a quote from Pep Boys for new struts (all 4) of $2,300+. Ramon quoted me over the phone for OEM replacement at $1,350+ tax. Obviously a better deal. Once we got there and he saw the car, he showed me how my brakes were paper thin, so we added that service too. He did an amazing job on my 2015 Honda Accord--it is driving better than ever! When I went to pick it up, he made sure to do a test drive. He felt something was still off and made sure I didn't drive off with any more issues. Had my car running amazing only 24 hours after dropping it off. After years of back and forth, this last time he proved to me that he does a great job. We will continue to trust Ramon with our vehicles. read more

Took my car to him earlier this year he had it for over a month couldn't figure out the problem so he took it to his friend and his friend said I need a new catalyst converter which I didn't just turns out, he put the wrong parts in from when he first tried to fix my car. ended up costing just as much if I were to take it to the dealership In all honesty, I think him and his friend were just trying to get over on me read more

My brother recommended this business to me when my 2011 ford escape started acting up. I was hoping the issue was not serious, but it turns out it was more than I expected. We began with replacing the ignition switch, then after further inspection, the ignition cylinder also had to be replaced. I did not want to leave my car there the entire weekend, but I didn't have another option that made sense. My car was ready on the day promised and it's performance seems to be much better. Mr. Ramon also put more freon in my car and although I thought the charge was a bit excessive, the AC is working really good as well. I may need to return for some additional repairs to my front turn signals and hazards, but I will check with my work mechanics first to determine how long this issue should take. Overall, I am happy with the service and I know had I taken my car to a dealership, the cost would be much more. Thank you Mr. Ramon. I'm sure we will chat again really soon. read more

Avoid at all costs. I had a bad experience dealing with this company. I told them exactly what was wrong with the car, but they tried another solution and charged me for their time. In addition, the battery was dead but they refused to jump the car to test if their work fixed the problem. So we changed the battery, and of course learned that their incorrect solution hadn't worked. Subsequently, I told them again what was needed. They finally followed my instructions, which worked. I spoke with other auto body shops and understand that I was charged several hundred dollars more than I should have been for this repair (steering column recall for Priuses 2005-2009; since I had a 2010, my model wasn't covered even though I had the same problem). Separate to the above, I became very busy and was unable to pick up the car for ~20 days. They charged me a storage fee of $700 ($35/day), which I understand is their legal right to do. I asked if they could provide at least a small discount here, but they wouldn't budge, even a bit. I am not complaining about this fee, as it was my fault for leaving the car there for so long. The negative review has to do with the experience outlined in the preceding paragraph. read more

Most trust worthy mechanic ive met to date, has always delivered great customer service a long with great mechanical skills. ive been here several times now and always leave happy knowing Ramon is taking care of my car. He even stayed late so that he could park my car in the garage from when it left me stranded on the side of the hwy. most shops make you leave it outside and drop off your keys through a lock box or window. read more

I have been with this company with many years. But, this time I would never recommend this company to any one. Since when I asked him to change a master cylinder for my Mitsubishi he changed BUT he purposely unlatched the air filter connection AND caused the radiator to release liquid when hot. So, in essence, he wants me to pay more of his service. read more
