Screen shot of website today stating price is $32.99. When calling in for it they originally were saying it was $35.99.

Nicely priced, decent pizza....... My review is based on a "Mega Football Palooza" we got for a kid's birthday party. The website says it is a 24"x18" pizza that can feed up to 12 people. Well quantity wise, the pizza was there! Fed 10 people and we had plenty of leftovers. The price was good too, although there was a pricing issue with there website. The company site had it listed at $32.99 and the person taking the order on the phone said it was old and wanted to charge $36. I just said that was what they had it listed as a deal and they gave it to me, but made mention of ingredient costs going up and normally it would have been a higher price. Attached photo is what they have listed on their site as of 4/18/22, so still not updated. Personally, I would have not cared if it was $36, but since the website had it listed at $32, I do expect them to be priced that way. Quality wise, the pizza was ok. The cheese on top was pretty dry. Not that I would want soaked in grease either, but it was at the opposite end of the spectrum. Other viewers were raving about the sauce, but on the Palooza pizza, the sauce was thin so was not able to taste it much. It was a decent pizza and good for a large kid's party.

We found this place from Steve Dolinsky's "Pizza City, USA" book series, which is a good indicator for outstanding pizza joint in the greater Chicago area. To rank the 4 items in my order: - *CHICKEN WINGS*: believe it or not, the fried chicken wings here are the best ones we've had in a while... so freshly cooked and nicely seasoned. Worth trying! - *THIN CRUST PIZZA*: this is the style that got mentioned by the book and it didn't disappoint! The tomato sauce is on the sweeter side but not too much, I love it. Cheese is fresh and crust is nice. Well done! - *DEEP DISH PIZZA*: this is the biggest disappointment in the order. Let's be honest, and check my picture - this is not DEEP DISH. This is just a normal pizza with a high crust edge. That means it's not loaded with enough ingredients to make it "deep". Despite the flavor being nice with the freshness of the ingredients, I can't take it as deep dish pizza by any means. - *Penguino's stype BREAD STICK*: it seems like a popular item from Yelp but nothing special about it, kinda disappointing. The owner is such a nice gentleman and we had good conversation about the book. He even offered us free soda! Overall given the limited options in the northwestern suburbs, it's a solid 4 star!

My fiance and I have been coming here for a couple years now. Luckily we are live in the area to get this DELICIOUS PIZZA, BREADSTICKS AND WINGS!!! I think their cheesy garlic breadsticks are probably the best I've ever had. Did you also know this is a family owned small business? Please please please do yourself a favor and try this spot out if you haven't already. Our go-to is the Hawaiian thin crust pizza. It. Will. NOT. Disappoint!

Penguino's reminds me a bit of Tortorice's pizza but with less herbs and seasonings. I tried the thin crust sausage pizza here which had an almost bready thin crust, which wasn't super crisp. I enjoyed the flavor, juiciness, and size of the sausage crumbles. I also liked how the pizza wasn't too salty and that the sauce was a bit on the sweet side, but didn't really taste artificial. There is a nice chewy, thick cheese layer on top of the sauce and the edges were pretty crispy. The price was reasonable but it didn't really stand out to differentiate itself from other local pizzas. The breadsticks however, are quite addictive with a nice buttery taste and fluffy texture. This was much more memorable than the pizza and the breadsticks paired nicely with a bright and sweet marinara sauce. These are pretty similar to the fazoli or olive garden breadsticks. Overall, good place to get a pizza at a reasonable price. Delivery is also fast (mine arrived quite a bit earlier than quoted) and the delivery person was friendly.

My favorite local pizza place!! They are always ready on time and hot until I get home. The pizza and breadsticks combo is a great deal. I love how fresh they are - especially the dough! Thank you for the amazing customer service as well. We've done curbside pick up during Covid-19 and felt very safe! Highly recommend Penguino's for anyone in the area

18" Thin Crust Cheese Pizza with half sausage

Just ordered and the pizza is excellent, crust is perfectly cooked with the right amount of crisp and crunch to it. You can smell the sauce when opening the box which has a nice aroma of zest. Sausage is chunky with a fair amount. Also the guy is a Freddie Mercury fan so he's cool. 8/12

Half pepperoni, half sausage, full onion.

This is one of those spots that doesn't try to be something it's not. It leans all the way into being a true neighborhood sports bar, and that's exactly why it works so well. Walk in and you're immediately wrapped in that familiar hum of TVs, cheers, and conversations a sports bar should have! The patio is nice, but it lacks TV's which would be great with some cover, but oh well. It's a good setup, and a huge reason folks keep coming back. Food-wise, burgers, wings, fries... nothing pretending to be fancy, just solid and satisfying. People consistently call it "good pub food" with a fun atmosphere, and that's honestly the perfect description. What really makes it stand out, though, is the atmosphere. It somehow balances being lively without being overwhelming. You can come to actually watch the game, or just hang out and soak in the energy. Regulars, first-timers, families, groups of friends, it all blends together into this easygoing, welcoming crowd. Is it flawless every single visit? No. It can get busy, things might take a little longer during peak times, and like any well-loved local spot, there are moments that aren't perfect. But none of that sticks with you. What does stick is the experience. At the end of the day, this is the kind of place you don't overthink. You just go, grab a seat, order something you know will hit the spot, and enjoy the game. Five stars, not because it's perfect, but because it nails exactly what it's supposed to be.

We went more for the small section that has crane machines with rubber ducks & tiny basketballs in them as well as a basketball hoop. This was a small area the kids could decompress in while waiting for their food. Unfortunately we found out tonight that this area is intended for adults per the owner. My kids (who are far from perfect but were NOT out of control) were scolded and came back to the table upset. No attempt to communicate with us was made. Not sure if we will be back anytime soon.

This visit, my daughter was at a speech tournament nearby. I appreciate how WingStop cooks the food fresh, but my stomach does not always appreciate having to wait so I try to order ahead of time to cut down on the longing for chicken. The menu can be overwhelming, but I usually jump to their deals page to find the fit for the current party. This times, I did the boneless meal for 2 and added the 2 drink pack. I ordered mild, garlic Parmesan, and hickory smoked BBQ. My boyfriend doesn't do spicy so I added 2 tenders with the hot honey rub for myself. The fries are seasoned so well and I appreciate having access to unlimited fountain drinks. The tea selection can be hit or miss, but the Diet Coke is always there for me. I don't know what they put in the ranch that makes it so magical. I recently discovered their cheese sauce for a dip and it gives me that hot dog vibe I crave at times. The restaurant is usually clean, the gender neutral bathrooms are clean and don't require a code to access or anything, and the staff is kind. Oh man, thinking about WingStop is making me crave WingStop lol. See you real soon!

And I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised at the food, cleanliness of the dining area, and the bathroom? Stay tuned. We went with the Feast meal, since we were rolling 3-deep. It included 16 boneless wings, 6 tenders, and fries. Me and the kids demolished it. With three drinks purchased separately, it was about $34. Not bad. We went with the following sauces, with particular order of best, to last: 1. Garlic parmesan 2. Mild 3. Hickory smoked BBQ I was really surprised with the garlic Parmesan... wished we ordered more. All-in-all, great wings, deep fried to a perfect crisp. The hickory smoked BBQ was rather too salty for my taste. The fries that came with it, spectacular. I'm a fan of semi-soggy fries (no joke) and these were the perfect consistency. I would compare the crispy/soggy ratio to Five Guys fries. If you ever had em, ya know. Service was good. The person was patient as we discussed the sauces, since we never been to a Wingstop before, and brought us the food to our table. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located near the back, by the soda fountain, there were two all-gender bathrooms. My son went to one and I went to the other. We both thought it was super clean. I'm surprised. I was expecting Wingstop to be a stop for late-night munchies, which usually meant that the bathrooms would be a combo of vomit and alcohol. Not the case here. Sit or squat? Sit! I will definitely stop by a Wingstop in the future.

However I do have one improvement for them off the bat. The last time I was physically at the restaurant (think late summer) the cleanliness was subpar. Straw wrappers and napkins scattered around the drink fountain, as well as sticky surfaces. Most concerning of all was the pair of eclipse viewing glasses, representing a lack of interest in keeping up with trash duty. The place in general needed a cleaning, and I hope to see it the beext time return. The food is not a reflection of this fortunately, as the fries have always been consistently seasoned and flavorful. The door dash order I had earlier this evening was no different and each bite was like a love letter to the palliate. There were a couple here and there that had be cooked a little too long, but I digress. I always order the chicken tenders, and tonights were as good as always. just enough crisp and tenderness, and even a bonus 6th tender in my 5 tender combo is a great touch. I must also mention that I've had my issues with mobile ordering in the past. Once while I was waiting there , a bag was brought to counter and I had believed the employee had said my name, although he didn't speak clearly enough. As I began to leave, I noticed a strange smell. I stopped and checked inside, only to find out it was someone else's order. When I returned to the counter and explain the mistake I made, the guy seemed confused, but took the food back anyway and I waited for my actual order. At the end of the day, I truly believe that this location is good, but needs some sharpening up to truly be great. Here's to hoping one day this place can become bigger than 2 stars.
