Screen shot of website today stating price is $32.99. When calling in for it they originally were saying it was $35.99.

Nicely priced, decent pizza....... My review is based on a "Mega Football Palooza" we got for a kid's birthday party. The website says it is a 24"x18" pizza that can feed up to 12 people. Well quantity wise, the pizza was there! Fed 10 people and we had plenty of leftovers. The price was good too, although there was a pricing issue with there website. The company site had it listed at $32.99 and the person taking the order on the phone said it was old and wanted to charge $36. I just said that was what they had it listed as a deal and they gave it to me, but made mention of ingredient costs going up and normally it would have been a higher price. Attached photo is what they have listed on their site as of 4/18/22, so still not updated. Personally, I would have not cared if it was $36, but since the website had it listed at $32, I do expect them to be priced that way. Quality wise, the pizza was ok. The cheese on top was pretty dry. Not that I would want soaked in grease either, but it was at the opposite end of the spectrum. Other viewers were raving about the sauce, but on the Palooza pizza, the sauce was thin so was not able to taste it much. It was a decent pizza and good for a large kid's party.

My fiance and I have been coming here for a couple years now. Luckily we are live in the area to get this DELICIOUS PIZZA, BREADSTICKS AND WINGS!!! I think their cheesy garlic breadsticks are probably the best I've ever had. Did you also know this is a family owned small business? Please please please do yourself a favor and try this spot out if you haven't already. Our go-to is the Hawaiian thin crust pizza. It. Will. NOT. Disappoint!

We found this place from Steve Dolinsky's "Pizza City, USA" book series, which is a good indicator for outstanding pizza joint in the greater Chicago area. To rank the 4 items in my order: - *CHICKEN WINGS*: believe it or not, the fried chicken wings here are the best ones we've had in a while... so freshly cooked and nicely seasoned. Worth trying! - *THIN CRUST PIZZA*: this is the style that got mentioned by the book and it didn't disappoint! The tomato sauce is on the sweeter side but not too much, I love it. Cheese is fresh and crust is nice. Well done! - *DEEP DISH PIZZA*: this is the biggest disappointment in the order. Let's be honest, and check my picture - this is not DEEP DISH. This is just a normal pizza with a high crust edge. That means it's not loaded with enough ingredients to make it "deep". Despite the flavor being nice with the freshness of the ingredients, I can't take it as deep dish pizza by any means. - *Penguino's stype BREAD STICK*: it seems like a popular item from Yelp but nothing special about it, kinda disappointing. The owner is such a nice gentleman and we had good conversation about the book. He even offered us free soda! Overall given the limited options in the northwestern suburbs, it's a solid 4 star!

Penguino's reminds me a bit of Tortorice's pizza but with less herbs and seasonings. I tried the thin crust sausage pizza here which had an almost bready thin crust, which wasn't super crisp. I enjoyed the flavor, juiciness, and size of the sausage crumbles. I also liked how the pizza wasn't too salty and that the sauce was a bit on the sweet side, but didn't really taste artificial. There is a nice chewy, thick cheese layer on top of the sauce and the edges were pretty crispy. The price was reasonable but it didn't really stand out to differentiate itself from other local pizzas. The breadsticks however, are quite addictive with a nice buttery taste and fluffy texture. This was much more memorable than the pizza and the breadsticks paired nicely with a bright and sweet marinara sauce. These are pretty similar to the fazoli or olive garden breadsticks. Overall, good place to get a pizza at a reasonable price. Delivery is also fast (mine arrived quite a bit earlier than quoted) and the delivery person was friendly.

My favorite local pizza place!! They are always ready on time and hot until I get home. The pizza and breadsticks combo is a great deal. I love how fresh they are - especially the dough! Thank you for the amazing customer service as well. We've done curbside pick up during Covid-19 and felt very safe! Highly recommend Penguino's for anyone in the area

18" Thin Crust Cheese Pizza with half sausage

Just ordered and the pizza is excellent, crust is perfectly cooked with the right amount of crisp and crunch to it. You can smell the sauce when opening the box which has a nice aroma of zest. Sausage is chunky with a fair amount. Also the guy is a Freddie Mercury fan so he's cool. 8/12

First off, they charged $1.60 for the extra topping, which was pepperoni, and I think I counted maybe six pieces on the whole pizza. A little light for the upcharge. Walking in though, the place was clean, small, but efficient. They had pizza by the slice, fresh pies coming out of the oven, and a pretty big menu with lots of options. While waiting for my personal pizza, I looked over and saw a rotating display full of fresh slices -- sausage, specialty pizzas, etc. I ended up grabbing an Italian beef slice with sweet and hot peppers after another customer told me it was really good. Threw in an RC Cola and a side of ranch too. Total came out to around $16. Got back to work and started with the Italian beef slice. It was cold, which I won't knock too hard because who knows how long it had been sitting there. I was told it was spicy, but honestly not really. You could tell by the way the slice fell apart while eating it that it had probably been sitting for a bit. As for the personal pizza, it was cheesy, decent amount of pepperoni, and not overloaded with sauce, which I liked. But overall... it just lacked flavor. I can't fully put my finger on it, but it feels like it's missing something. Maybe seasoning? Salt? Not sure. That said, service was good, prices weren't terrible, and I do like the concept. For all I know, the cooks could've been doing a 2-hour long DIY tutorial on how to spin pizza dough in the back. After what felt like an eternity, we were promptly met with disappointment. Was it the cheese? Was it the bread? It was both. Now I've been let down in the past in many areas of my life. Business, relationships, and aspirations. But this. This was different.
