This time, it was not quite as good, for a couple of reasons. Service: From the moment we ordered our food, not a single employee approached our table for thirty-four minutes and eleven seconds. Usually, we receive our food within fifteen to seventeen minutes. The large restaurant had only eleven other guests seated at various tables during our visit, so I'm unsure why this delay was so unusual. Food: This time, the food was not as good. The steaks my dad and wife had were dry and had too much fat. A-1 steak sauce was requested to try to add flavor. My sister and I both ordered the Fiesta Lime Chicken. On paper, it sounded perfect for us, but when it arrived, we found out that bones were still in the chicken, as that's how they prepare it here. I hate bones in my chicken after a choking incident a few years ago. I might have missed the mention of bones on the menu, or I simply don't recall. My mistake for comparing this Fiesta Lime Chicken to Applebee's, which is boneless and I absolutely love. The potatoes included with our dishes were cold. Maybe our food sat too long before serving--we'll never know. Our waitress came by once more to check on us. We could have mentioned everything above then, but we chose not to, fearing another long wait to fix things, so we kept quiet. She also dropped off the check and offered dessert options, which we kindly declined because we just wanted to leave and get back to the slot machines. Overall, it was a so-so dining experience.

I came to San Jacinto to my aunt and uncles 50th wedding anniversary. The day before the party we went with 30 people to have dinner at J&J's diner. We had a nice cozy seprate room in the restaurant and everybody ordered different meals from the menue or changed a bit from the menue. The waitress was amazing. She made a lot of notes and absolutely amazingl, they came out 30 minutes later with everybodies order. Nothing was warmed up in the microwave, but everything was fresh made. There was not one mix up with the orders and we were all simply amazed. We all could eat a hot meal at the same time. The service was just outstanding and we all had a great time. I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant for a long time and have always enjoyed the food. However, I want to offer some feedback regarding the service. The young person taking orders with glasses should make an effort to smile, greet customers warmly, and check on them regularly. I initially thought I was the only one who noticed, but the table across from us also voiced similar concerns to another waitress, even suggesting she speak to her co-worker about improving her service. I agree that management should address this issue, as great food alone won't keep customers coming back if the service is lacking. read more

My family and I ate dinner and enjoyed the pleasant ambiance of the restaurant. The waitress we had was also lively and provided great service. The food, however, was less than pleasing. Since a number of different dishes were ordered I was able to gain a better understanding of the food and make well rounded observations. Nothing pleasing here. Most of the items were fairly unhealthy and sodium infested (the mashed potatoes were way too salty!). Much of it was like frozen food that had been thrown in the oven. We work up the street so we eat here at least once a week. I was shocked by how large the meals are and how reasonably priced they are. The food is always very fresh. I tried the turkey sandwich today and it was actually real turkey meat unlike Steves burgers and half the price. We have only gone through the drive thru but I'm sure dining in is just as good. I call, the cashier says the cooks not sure if he served pozole or menudo. I said it's definitely menudo. She offers a refund or new soup. I asked my husband he said no I'm hungry I'll just eat some of your soup. I said refund, she then says we will refund you when you bring the soup back. What? Are you going to throw it back in the pot? You're going to throw it away but yeah I'll stop eating dinner to bring it back. We are faithful to this taqueria but now we will be going somewhere else. Remember who your customers are & who supports your business. Your customer service definitely needs work.

It's hard to find as place that offers good food, good service and a friendly atmosphere. Plus the…read morefood was priced right. Home cooked food for less than a day food meal.
