Any visible damage was mostly contained within kitchen area. I looked up local companies on Yelp and decided to get a free quote from Independent Restoration Services. They came out the next day to check out the place, provided a quote within a few hours, and were then able to start the next day after obtaining work authorization. I placed my trust in them based on their reviews across Yelp, Google, and FB. At first I was a bet skeptical due to only one person making it out on the first day, which was due to a combination of scheduling issues , others being called onto different sites/projects, and overall just being a small team. But in the end they still finished on schedule as initially estimated, despite having less manpower than I had expected. They were thorough with the restoration - my place was just as clean as before, and in some places even cleaner. They kept me assured throughout the whole process and answered any questions and concerns I had. There was a misunderstanding on my end where I thought they would also clean the air ducts, but since that is not something they provide, they offered to go 50/50 on subcontracting a duct cleaner. And at the end, they agreed the initial quoted estimated cost seemed a bit too high, so they were willing to adjust the final bill downwards. Overall they provided quality cleaning and restoration services, were flexible to work with, and did not seem like they were out to get my money. I contacted the office regarding the dust that left and they told both myself and my rental company they would send someone the next week and that the owner was contacted regarding the quality of service so they would be sending someone to inspect. I got a letter from the insurance company saying that they overpaid Ars. I gave Jorge a call. And he looked into it quickly. It appears that the insurance company actually did overpay. George sent me a copy of the return check and was mailed out in 24 hours! I've never worked with somebody that was so reputable. I highly recommend these guys if you have waterdamage. So, I was referred to this company by a plumber. The salesman, Jorge, was seemingly a nice enough guy. Honestly, at the time I did not know much about this stuff at all so had to unfortunately trust Jorge in properly helping me. It all seemed fine for a bit, he set up some equipment and let me know that there is going to be lead / asbestos testing in the next few days and that we'll go from there. Well, he tries for the next few weeks to lie and claim that I have asbestos, and that I need to do a lot more work than originally planned. I started to get suspicious, because my insurance, is saying that I do not have asbestos. It might be important to note too that Jorge was very adamant on the fact insurance would approve this work, which they didn't, because we did not want to start work until the claim was approved. He's also adamant on me having asbestos, and that he will send the results again to insurance. From this point, he refers another company to do some demo work to allow the plumber to get in there and do his side of the work, and then they'll fix any other damage and put everything back together. For weeks, I mean weeks, I don't have a living room or bathrooms, there's lack of communication I don't know when everything will be fixed. I notice something. There's no visible leaks but I'm still hearing the leaks in my house. So now I'm realizing that all of these "tests" done by Jorge and his team to find where to open up my walls was complete BS and to actually fix my problems, I need to do even more work! Any work that American Restoration recommended I have done was completely unnecessary. I have it all figured out thanks to another company and a lot of handy work done by myself, but American Restoration, from the beginning, was not communicative and was entirely in it to sell me a ton of work and take as much money as possible. Essentially, they lied about the "testing" they had performed in an attempt to upsell me more work. It halfway worked, as they tore out my bathrooms which was never needed to "fix" the leaks (again, any work they outsourced or recommended never led to anything being fixed)

WFM did the demo and water mitigation, LFP did the reconstruction. Overall, I would recommend LFP. It took FOREVER to finally be finished (3+ months), but some of that delay was due to USAA Insurance not being available to approve payments. The service was good, and for the most part, responsive. Jasmine was a good POC and Pia explained the financial aspects. We did have a hiccup on the width of the shower glass to be installed, but they made it right. I would use them again.
