This place is the actual worst! I was helping my friend with the purchase of a vehicle and asked them to list me(the buyer) as the lienholder and my friend as the registered owner of the car until she could pay me back. They struggled over this for quite some time and still ended up screwing it up. Not only did they mix up the registration and lienholder information, but they also listed the address incorrectly. So plates, registration, and title were sent back to this dealership. After all the paperwork we had filled out, you would think they'd attempt to call the phone numbers we had given, but nope... the plates just sat around until I stopped by looking for them. Then, I got home to find out all of the registration info is incorrect. Called them twice. Was hung up on twice and told that I insulted THEM and that I would have to figure out how to fix it myself. Went in to either finance or completely purchase a truck, was told that if I wanted the truck for the cash price I'd have to bring the entire amount which is understandable, the boss himself had written the out the door price and said he'd honor the price for us the next day so we called off work and got there first thing in the morning to find out they raised the price on the truck by just shy of 4 grand not including lic/smog/doc. My wife purchased a highlander in January and they didn't want to give her the actual plates for the car cause they where having issues getting them and she was paying monthly on time so they told us to come in and if we wanted to choose another car so we chose a truck a Canyon they didn't allow me to test drive it but one or 2 miles. I thought it ran good when I got home I went to the store I started having transmission problems we brought the car back they supposedly fixed it. The owner himself sent me a bulletin board on canyons on how the torque converter goes out so much and how the transmission needs to be changed as well so often,so after I didn't want to deal with the truck after driving it for two days and it was messed up We went back to the dealer and we chose a Camry The owner told me was a Bullet and a good car as we proceeded to do the deal, he started telling me and my wife that we tricked him cuz we drove the truck all weekend and that he feels dazzled because he feels like we tricked him ahhh no you're not gonna get away with selling a truck with the messed up transmission and expect us to want to keep it so we brought the Camry home now and now the check engine light is on it as well make sure you guys test drive the cars long enough to see if it will give you issues or not but from my personal experience, I do not recommend anybody to come here for a dependable car and there mechanic doesn't really fix what he's suppose to do YOU GUYS BEWARE CAUSE THE OWNER TOLD US This will be the last time. First off, manager Manny, became rude, condescending and sarcastic when he thought I was trying to find things on the vehicle to negotiate a lower price (2010 Honda Element). Seller Renigged the accepted offer once I returned with my mechanic and he found an issue that the vehicle needed fixed for safety (motor mounts). The dealer was given an opportunity to get item fixed but now refused to sell me the vehicle even when I offered to go half on the costs to fix the issue since we had an agreed offer. Instead, the dealer just kept the vehicle listed for sale but just lowered the price but did Not disclose the discovered the safety mechanical issued pointed out on the listing. Did not buy a car here because of the bad service over the phone and because of the lies. I called about a GTI that they had listed online, the guy was really friendly and when asked if this was a salvage title the guy got upset and said "we dont sell cars like that... only car we buy from people who dont pay" which seemed good to me. A month passed and the car was still up for sale online, so I decided to drive to Riverside from Whittier. I checked online and the website said they closed at 8pm so I left my house at 6.30pm but traffic was bad. I called right after I passed the 15fwy from the 91fwy to let them know I was almost there and I was coming from LA county to see the GTI they had and to ask how far I was from the 91 and 15. The guy who was a different person from the first time said "you are 15 minutes away" and this was at 7.48pm and then he said "yes we still have it but we close at 8pm". I then asked him if they closed right at 8pm and he said YES. I then said "well thats too bad I might be 5 mintues late and if you are closed ill just check out the car and go back to LA" and he said "OK"... never have I seen a more unenthusiastic sales person. I got there at 8.10pm and they where gone. I looked at the car and it had a huge gauge on the rear door and the front driver door had a huge gap, my first thought was that it was probably broken into. Or at least an attempt to break into car. I go home quite disappointed, but still try to give them one last chance since I really wanted a GTI. I call them back the next morning and ask if the GTI was still there and of course they said YES. I asked if it had any problem and he said NO, then I told him I had seen the car the previous night and noticed a gap on the driver door and the sales guys tells me its because a air bag had gone off but it was no problem. I ask are you sure because it looks like someone tried breaking in.. and he says "NO NO NO just an air bag went off... O yeah and the rear door has a crack but that is it" and I tell him that the gap is really big and he still tells me no its perfect, not bad. They never smogged it, I had to do that as it was missed. The Title was in transit per Stella for many weeks. Sold me a truck with a transmission that needed to be fully rebuilt with no disclosure of that and also filled out the warranty form "for me" and told me the truck was as is. The sales rep kept saying the phrase as is as is like the warranty was not an option. Called the owner Manny and he would not answer and finally got a text which is insanely unprofessional and was told on the phone they don't offer every customer a warranty and when I heard that I instantly realized what just happened, a rip off. I looked at a 2007 Jaguar online and was very interested. So, I contacted the dealer and they asked me to fill out the credit app. After completing it, I let them know. I waited for a day and a half before contacting them again. They finally contacted me and told me I would need a co-signer! I've not used a co-signer ever! I knew my credit wasn't the best and I let them know that before I filled out the app. The dealer also advertises that they will get you financed if someone else turns you down. I read the other reviews but decided to go down to take a look at a car they have posted online. I walked up to find a salesperson. One was busy on the phone in another room obviously working hard and talking to a customer, but two were relaxing on their phones. I asked if the car I was interested in was available and, evidently, it was already sold. I asked if they had another vehicle like it. Instead of getting up to introduce themselves and show me around, they just told me to walk across the street to the other SUVs and they would send someone out. I looked and waited 10 minutes and nobody came out. There were ZERO other customers on the lot. Too bad for them. I have cash and am motivated. We had been shopping for a new tundra for over a month! We had been to numerous (lost count) dealerships looking for the right truck. We were so concerned with what we could afford per month since we are on a single income, it was becoming difficult to find what we desired within our budget! Let me tell you guys, as soon as we got out of the car, JC was awesome! I purchased a pickup truck three years ago from J&M. The model I was looking for and got was a somewhat difficult one to find. But J&M had one and was relatively close to me. When I went to look at it, there was one guy working the lot. He was not very friendly and was hard to work with. Unfortunately, at the time we had a newborn at home and I didn't feel like I could keep looking far and wide for this model of truck. So, from the start, I had myself in a bad position for negotiating. Ultimately, he came down a bit on the price, but it was still quite a bit higher than market value. Regardless, I agreed to it and we started the paperwork. Initially, the truck came with a 3 month warranty but, when we were almost done, he said he could no longer include it due to the "low" price I was getting. I balked, but ultimately caved when he showed me a list of services their mechanic had just done including new brakes. Fast forward 3 weeks. I was pulling into work when suddenly the brakes failed. Thankfully I was almost at a stop when it happened and was able to completely stop by going up against the curb. I had the truck towed to a mechanic. He looked at it and said that one of the front brake pads had been replaced, but not the other one. The older, thinner pad had fallen out of place and caused the caliper to go in all the way which is why I had lost brake pressure. The total cost for the repair was $380. Had this happened at a more inopportune moment, the results could have been disastrous. I never tried to recoup the $380 from J&M. I doubt I would have gotten anywhere, but who knows. So I can't really ding them for that. Other than that, the truck itself has been great. The model is well rated in terms of reliability, so I doubt this is a reflection of where/how J&M sources and services their vehicles. As far as positives: the lot itself is relatively clean and in a decent area. The cars all looked pretty nice (no obvious clunkers). The paperwork process was very fast. Maybe, three years later, somebody else is working the lot and their service has improved. That's all I got. Overall, J&M did nothing to change my perception of used car lots. If I had to do it all over again, I'd allow myself to walk away if the negotiation didn't go like I wanted it to. I'd also have the vehicle inspected by a 3rd party. Really, this should apply to any used car purchase, but I'd be extra cautious with J&M. read more

Their finance manager, Eric, inflated income on my daughter's application, told us the car was approved, gave her the vehicle, and then a week later, called and said they were going to repossess the vehicle because they were not able to prove her income. I had been looking for an old 1991 big body Benz, and saw on an advertisement that there was one for sale at J & M Auto Sales. I called a few times inquiring about the car and spoke to various Salesmen who took my name and numbers and stated they would get back to me with a price quote. I called 3-4 times and never once got a response/call back. I would not do business with J & M Auto Sales. From the other reviews, this seems like a place where they try to rip you off, and have poor customer service. The price of the car I was interested in is close to double what it is actually worth. Not to mention, it has basically had the same amount of miles from 2006 until now, so who knows what type of driving condition it is in. I was able to find a similar car in even better condition for less than half of what these guys where trying to charge. I would stay away from this place. I purchased a used truck and within weeks the check engine light went one, took it in no problem...2 months later again...same problem! Terrible customer service, they take your money, sweet talk you, and and soon as the warranty expires, they forget who you are. I have been asking for a detailed receipt on what was done to my vehicle from their so called mechanic and they won't produce one, but they want me to pay for the repairs. He was very helpful and professional and patient as we looked at a few different cars. We decided on the passat because it drove smoothly, had low mileage and was a good deal. I drive past this dealership every day on my way to work. Four times now I have stopped, practically holding cash in hand, ready to buy a truck, not once did a sales person ever come out. Even when I walked right in front of their office windows. So being someone that knows what they're looking for, and ready to buy, not to mention I was a car salesman at Carmax three years ago, it was kind of a letdown to see that they don't need my business. Another thing that disappointed me was more often than not the vehicles they are trying to sell, the trucks to be exact, are highly overpriced for what they are. One truck in particular that caught my attention was an 8-year-old F-350 with over 130,000 miles, and they're trying to sell it for 32 grand?? Get real. That truck should be no more than $15,000! I will be taking my money to a different dealership to find a newer, less used truck for cheaper, and it will be for sure thing that the customer service will be better since it can't get any worse than J&M auto sales. read more

The purchasing experience was great! The whole staff was so nice and helpful the only problem I had within a week my car started making these popping noises when I would turn any direction. I went to their personal mechanic that checked out the underpart of the car and said everything looked good. I took photos while it was up in the air so I could see what the underneath looked like since they would not let me in the shop due to insurance purposes which I totally understood. I noticed in my photos the underneath was rusted massively in may places which I googled later and found that the car was most likely in a flood when it was in a previous state from the east coast. Noticing the carpet had a white ring stain on the drivers carpet and both front seat bolts and tracks were completely rusted out. I loved my car just frustrated with the loud noises every time I turned either direction sounded like something was going to fall off! and the dealership telling me nothing was wrong with it. I had other mechanics take a look but 3,000 of work they said needed to be done and the dealership told me they were just trying to scam me that nothing was wrong. 6 months later the noises were getting worse and I was stuck with the car. I tried to trade the car into another dealership and no one would take it because of the possible flood damage they said after they inspected the car. Beware of what you purchase at any dealership, me being a woman never thought about flood damage cars and that was never mentioned on all the papers I was showed before the purchase.- Bummed Woman read more

Purchased a truck that I really wanted a couple months ago I thought the price was right unfortunately no warranty was available or offered, drove it home it so happens a week later the turbo on the truck goes out. I called the dealer for a Price on a new turbo $2600. It would not drive more than 10-15 mph I let the manager/owner know because they sent me a letter stating I owed $100 more on my registration and they had the tags so drove back to the location which was 45 min away from home and explained to them the situation told them I did not think it was fair that I purchase a vehicle that had mechanical problems not even a week after I purchased it. I was told I would receive a phone call the next day and have somebody sent over to my home to take a look at the truck never received a phone call and nobody ever showed up.
