First off, my wife had the Thai Steak Noodle Salad special and I had the 1/2 Cajun Chicken sandwich with the Lobster Bisque. My wife liked the salad but she thought the salad could have used more dressing...it was still good. The lobster bisque was fantastic. Big chunks of lobster and the soup had a great lobster taste. The sandwich was on the small side but tasted very good. The overall bill was $44 total including tax. The ambience was very good and had an upscale feel. We chose here for dinner because my daughter had a party in the mall and thought while we were there to pick her up anyway, we'd try it out for dinner. We were able to secure reservations online which was good because it was busy. The ambiance is dark and has these deep red leather accents and little lamps. Kind of reminds me of an old steak house. We liked that. They have an extensive cocktail menu which I Enjoy because I love a good cocktail and it's hard to know what to order. The ingredients of these cocktails were quality and I wish I could have tried many more lol. They need flights. I had a kickin blueberry mule which was refreshing. My husband had a gin drink which was delish. The bread was odd, and if anyone experienced in this place could enlighten me if that's how it's supposed to be but it came out warm and was really chewy. And what's the flavor? I should have asked but didn't. Not sure I liked the chew... For my meal I got the prime rib sandwich and to my surprise they offered two types of horseradish and I love me some horseradish. The jus was not salty the fries were shoestring and crispy. The cheese was melty and the onions were perfect. It was a wonderful sandwich. This place is a consistent choice for good food. I love the ambience - very dark, romantic, and perfect for a date night. We started off our dinner with the house made bread and honey butter as our appetizer - the butter is always delicious! For our meals, I got the chicken tenders with fries and cinnamon apples. I was told by a coworker these are the BEST chicken fingers, so I had to try them. They were quite good!! The breading is light and air but still crispy, and I LOVE the honey mustard. The shoestring French fries are a nice change from "normal" fries, and i loved the sweetness of the cinnamon apples - it tasted like dessert! Friendly waiter who was very attentive to my toddler and brought him crayons and a cute sippy cup. The food came out fast and my meal was one of the tastiest fillets I have ever had. Oh Boy was this a good find. A large place in a large mall with a full separate gluten free menu to boot. The staff is great and even a new person has the skills and attitude to make it a great meal too. We were sure to tell the manager when he checked in on us as we were ready to leave. The booths were very comfortable and for only four of us we had plenty of elbow room The menu had so much to choose from, every thing we looked at was a best choice until we read the next one below or to the side of that one. beverages were great and dessert was be best ending of a great meal. They have several other in the area so we will return to the area for another vacation and make a visit to the other places the manager told us about. We'd never heard of JB Dawson's until a few weeks ago when we were looking for restaurant reservations near Lancaster. Very, very happy that we ended up at JB Dawson's! Everything we tried was delicious. Highlights: the Paloma with a Diploma drink, the cheesesteak egg rolls absolutely delicious, and the cornbread (which I think is jalapeño cheese but it's not mentioned on the menu). The entrees were great and were pretty big portions. If I had one complaint, I wish the Texas Tenders were crispier. As they are, they're pretty soft, with a batter like fish and chips. This is a convenient stop off if you are at the Park City Mall. It's just a couple doors down from the Fountain Shoppes entrance and Starbucks. It's really nice inside. Feels upscale, nice bar area. Seemingly not overrun with guests. A couple TVs in bar area but not a sports bar. Their happy hour (5-7) is really a deal since their prices aren't high to start from. Good cocktails, nice beer and wine selection. We have been here a couple times and always liked the food. They have a nice assortment on the happy hour menu as well. And it's not super loud! Found this place while the rest of my family enjoyed another establishment that I wasn't able to partake in due to the menu not being keto friendly. I enjoyed the Jambalaya Pasta, just without the pasta. What great and bold flavor! Wasn't overly spicy, which was great while maintaining the flavor. I also enjoyed the loaded smashed Cauliflower. I was with a girlfriend on August 23, 2024. i ordered the chicken lettuce wrap cups. It said stir fried chicken with veggies with a side sauce of hoisin sauce and lettuce to use as wraps. My family and I have been regulars at J.B. Dawson's for many years and can't say enough good things about the food, the service, and this particular location. Before Lancaster had a decent restaurant scene, there weren't many dining-out options for my husband, who has a gluten allergy. Here, he has plenty of healthy options and can enjoy both pasta dishes and burgers with gluten-free components, though he still avoids the fried foods. Over the years, we've sampled just about everything on the menu - including some of our seasonal favorites like the southwestern bowl and cajun chicken pasta - but our go-to orders include the sweet and spicy island wings, Twisted Burger (pepper jack cheese, fried onions, and a spicy mayo sauce), grilled chicken marsala, and grilled salmon oscar (with crab, asparagus, and a creamy garlic sauce). The ribs and pulled pork deserve honorable mentions, and if you're a fan of mojitos, you can get an exceptional one here. My daughter loves the super cheesy kids macaroni and cheese - and I love that it doesn't come from a Kraft box. We also agree on the desserts - the apple walnut cobbler is baked bliss with a caramel drizzle, the gluten free brownie is something our whole family can indulge in, and the chocolate chip cookie sundae is made to order and worth every second of the wait. The hosts and wait staff are very attentive - they work together, so you'll never get a "sure, let me find your server" response. They'll get you a refill, extra plate, or whatever you might need. There's usually a manager on duty who checks with patrons to make sure you enjoyed your meal - and they genuinely want to know if you didn't. We've only had one night where one of our meals wasn't up to par, and when we mentioned it, not only did the manager remove it from our bill, but he also offered a free dessert. When we declined the free dessert, he comped our drinks as well and personally delivered our bill with his apologies and an explanation of the changes he made to the bill. If you're coming on a Friday or Saturday night, I strongly recommend you call ahead for seating. Dawson's is a popular dinner spot for mall shoppers. We cane here for dinner tonight, the food and service was excellent. I had the lump crab pasta alfredo, huge lumps of crab meat- so flavorful. My boyfriend had the cajun rib eye, he ordered it medium but it came out medium well, he told the serve and they immediately said they would replace - never questioned it. Within 5 minutes he had another steak , it was perfect. Not only did they give him another steak but they gave him a new plate with the all new sides and they tild him to keep the other order. Spent the weekend in Lancaster and decided to try this place out. The food was on point!! The wings were delicious and HUGE! The potato soup and the Parmesan crusted chicken were very tasty. I was here after going to the Sight & Sound theater. I had their half rack ribs, whipped garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. I was leary about both the ribs and the spinach. JBs did not disappoint!!! The ribs were cooked well...but not too well that they didn't fall off the bone...seasoned perfectly. The creamed spinach consistency was perfect...not runny (like some restaurants have erred in that direction) and seasoned just right...not salty and tasty. My wife and I needed to go to the Apple Store at Park City Mall. It was dinner time and we saw this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised it is a very nice steakhouse. The food was excellent. I had a couple beers. We ordered appetizers and we had dinners and the bill was only about $70, you can't beat that! The service was excellent.
