Nice bar/pub. Lots of locals seem to gather on a Friday night. Nice variety of music play from the jukebox allowed for the husband and I to act silly to some familiar tunes. Food was served in a timely manner; hot and fresh. The husband had a chicken Cesar salad; I took a bite and the dressing was spot on! I had the chicken Alfredo but had gobbled down 2 pretzels and was feeling kinda full. I took it home after a few bites. I did a little doctoring up on the reheat with a little garlic salt and more parm, it was good. Service was good. Our waitress was attentive enough. We will return. read more

They pile them up with ice so you get very little liquor. They put too much ice in your drinks. I've worked about 3 miles away for the past 26 years, and during that time there have been months on end where they would earn my weekly loyalty with cleanliness, quality zzz food, and attentive service, only to drive me away when attention to these things slip. When the folks in the kitchen are on top of it, the burgers and sides are very good. When they aren't, my medium rare burger is likely to be closer to well done. no, I'm not going to send it back. I'm going to finish it, or not, and just add a checkmark in the negative column of my mental assessment. I had low expectations for J.Butler's after seeing the Yelp rating, but I was pleasantly surprised. My friend and I went here for dinner tonight. I got the blackened chicken Alfredo and side salad, and my friend got the mushroom and Swiss burger. The salad was great, which surprised me because usually salads aren't that good from bar restaurants. But, it was very good; it had lettuce of course, mushrooms, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and cheese on it. Very healthy! The Alfredo was also impressive with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. It also had broccoli. It tasted good too. Definitely a good portion too. I took some home. When you walk in, you're greeted, and the server was pleasant. The "bar side" is more to the left. We sat in the back, and it was quiet. Overall, it was a good experience, and I will likely go there again soon. I'd recommend it! read more

Eat here at least once a week normally good but tonight there was 15 people nobody had food for 45 mins. waitress was not top notch. never got refill on drinks even after asking. We visited J Butler's when we came to High Point area for furniture. From the outside this place doesn't look like a good place to go to. Once you get inside, yep it does not look that great at all. However, don't let the appearance fooled you. We were greeted by the host immediately, got to our seat within minutes. The server greeted us with big smile, make proper recommendations for our food and drinks. We had a Spaghetti and meatball + a grilled chicken salad, both dishes were really tasty. It didn't come on a fancy dish, but it just tastes super yummy :) It could be a 5 star place if the interior and exterior look better than it is. This is a truly a unique place to dine while you are in the High Point area. read more

On a trip and stayed in Archdale. Looked for an open restaurant with TVs to catch the game on ACC Network. YELP reviews were bad but decided to give it a try. The place was amazing. Sports bar, excellent chips, fries, good salads, really good burgers, and amazing chicken salad. Service was SPOT on, even during Covid. Our waitress took great care of us, was attentive, and they worked with my daughter's food allergies. Will definitely definitely come back here again. The Carolina Burger is boss!!!!! After almost 5 yrs of not eating here, decided to give it a try again. Just like almost 5 years ago, was very disappointed. Waitstaff was too busy hanging out with each other, simple order of burger and side came out incorrect ( asked for Carolina burger, no cheese, came out plain patty on bun with loose ground beef on top). The bar was full of overserved college sports fans that were extreme in their cheering and constantly rolling in and out from smoking, dragging the smoke smell throughout the dining area. Don't bother. The place is full of regulars and if you are not one of them, do not expect service. Plenty of talk about how wasted they got last weekend though. Big sign saying $2.25 domestics. I drank 3 Blue Moons and my bill was $13. When I asked why, I was told that beer is from Belgium! I informed them that it is Belgium style but made in Colorado, therefore a domestic. I was then told domestics are just Bud, Bud Lite, etc. Terrible service. Not recommended at all. I cannot comment on the food because I was not asked of I need a menu. The food definitely goes up and down in quality. So does the service. I wasnt impressed with the service at all. I ran out of tea and refills were a long wait. All in all.. Conveniently located off of Main St. The food is very average. Chicken Alfredo taste like it came out of a can. The house salad had a funky taste. Cucumbers were old. The French dip was just ok. Personally, we think the menu is too big. We would rather see fewer choices and know that it's all freshly made. The fried cheese leaves an after taste of freezer burn. The beer is cold at least. The worst dinning experience I've had in quite some time. Actually left the restaurant after appetizer just as the waitress was bringing the main course becaue we lost the battle with the FLYS over the cheese frys. The service was very poor and the table were sticky and just not clean. Will not return. It's a shame as this place used to be a hot spot for the area! The environment is so open and fun in this place! They have THE BEST mozzarella sticks in town. In fact some times I want to go there just to eat mozzarella sticks! My husband and I have been here quite a few times and have tried lots of things on their menu. So far I have not been disappointed. read more
