This is a really fun experience. I think it's reasonably priced for the experience + quality. We always have a good time.

I first came here for my birthday with a big group and had a great time doing the full all-you-can-eat. This time I came back by myself and tried the noodle bar instead, and it's a completely different experience but still worth it. The noodle bar is set up like a small Korean grocery store station. Shelves of instant ramen to choose from, you grab your bowl, add your noodles and seasoning, then use one of the machines to cook it. There are three settings and I used M1, which came out just right. The broth was hot and the noodles had a good texture, not mushy. This is a basic setup. No fresh toppings, no eggs, no extras to dress it up. Some places offer that, but this one keeps it simple. If you go in expecting a full ramen bar you might be disappointed, but if you understand what they're going for, it works. And don't break your noodles. Leave them long so you can slurp them the way you're supposed to. If you watch Korean dramas, you've seen this a hundred times. Slurp the noodles and drink the broth after. I also ordered the Cajun tiger roll, 10 pieces, and that plus the noodles was more than enough food. The roll had tempura shrimp and cucumber inside, topped with spicy crab salad, spicy mayonnaise, and flame-seared salmon. The sushi chef used a handheld torch to sear the salmon right in front of me, and that added a nice finish. Between the noodles and sushi, I was full. This is a good option if you don't want to do the full all-you-can-eat. It's quick, easy, and you still get a good experience without committing to grilling at the table. I'd still recommend this place for groups, but now I'd also tell people not to overlook the bar if you're by yourself or just want something lighter. This is indeed THE place to get Korean BBQ in the Triad! AYCE is an option and a la carte portions are generous, with complimentary doenjang jigae and corn cheese as well as quality banchan -- including a unique tomato one I'd not had before. My wife had the seafood jjampong stew, and it was delicious. And summertime BBQ followed by also delicious cold noodle mul naengmyun is a can't miss! We even found that our favorite server from the beloved Okja in Cary -- whose owner sold the restaurant building -- and before that, from our previous favorite, Seoul Garden in N. I like to go places alone to try new food but $115.00 for my meal plus a tip wasn't worth it. I do recommend bringing a friend but if your alone go try somewhere else. (4.5 stars) While its name may sound presumptuous, you can't accuse The One of being misleading: Korean BBQ with table grills isn't terribly common around these parts. For those who have had it elsewhere, The One may not bowl you over, especially at its price point. But for those who haven't, it offers more than just a taste of something different. Housed in a spacious, nicely appointed building, The One is clean and comfortable (with surprisingly supportive chairs). The menu includes all-you-can-eat BBQ, BBQ combos, meats a la carte, and an assortment of prepared dishes (apps, soups/stews, bibimbap, etc.). My wife and I opted for the AYCE, and our server, Cody, explained how everything works: order up to three meats at a time, sides and banchan will be provided for the table, help yourself to the ramen bar. Cody was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, and The One seemed well-staffed and efficiently run. While there were a few curious omissions (i.e. no galbi though there were pork ribs) and several dishes we hadn't the stomach for, The One's menu still left us with plenty of options. Across several rounds, we got to try the spicy marinated brisket, thin-sliced beef belly, garlic pork belly, spicy bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi, and sweet & spicy pork ribs. They came with rice, vegetables for grilling, cheese corn, bean paste soup, and an assortment of sauces. We ended up passing on the ramen bar as it featured instant packs, and we're spoiled by the real thing. The food was, by and large, delicious. I would hesitate to call the "spicy" bulgogis actually spicy, but they were well-sauced, tender, and flavorful. The soup, on the other hand, had a welcome kick to it, and a few of the banchan provided a bit of heat as well. I didn't run into anything that I would hesitate to reorder. As with sushi, AYCE commands a premium, and The One's version was no exception: $37 per adult ($25 if you go during lunch hours). Come hungry, for a special occasion (birthday in my case), and with a bulgogi craving, and you can get your money's worth. Otherwise, it might seem like a reach. Fortunately, the prepared dishes won't break the bank if you go that route instead. Older reviews suggested that The One had some growing pains early on, but if our experience was anything to go by, they've put those issues behind them. It isn't just the grills that are firing here. I was very disappointed with my experience at this all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant. First, they charged for a 1-year-old child, which felt unreasonable considering a child that age barely eats enough to justify an additional fee. When I asked about it, the explanation did not make the policy seem any more fair. What concerned me even more was the safety issue. There was hot water left out in the open where it could easily be knocked over or reached by a small child. In a restaurant that welcomes families, this creates an unnecessary risk for burns and injuries. Between the unexpected charge for a toddler and the lack of attention to basic safety, the experience left a negative impression. I hope management reviews both their pricing policies and safety practices to better serve customers and families. read more

The noodles were a nice touch but seems to be a hazard having to walk back to your table with boiling water in your bowl. Side dish menu is very very small compared to other AYCE KBB restaurants. Also you have to pay per appetizer compared to other AYCE KBB. My 1 year old was charged even though she barely ate. We paid $192 for 3 adults a 1 year old and a 3 year old. There are a couple other similar places in town that each have their own differentiators. Few things different about The One...they have a make-your-own-ramen station, where you get to choose a quick serve ramen pack (similar to what's in the grocery store) with hot water. They also do not have iPads you can quickly order from so you are required to wait for a server to order. It also does not have a sauce bar where you can create your own with recipes for inspiration. My family and I had an amazing experience at The One KBBQ in High Point. There's an extensive menu with so many great options to choose from. The owner was very generous and took the time to give us excellent recommendations. I especially loved the marinated meats. The vibe of the restaurant is very hip and cool. When we walked in we joined the waitlist. There were five groups in front of us so we went to the bar to have a couple drinks. Bartender was amazing I asked for their Japanese plum wine, she asked if I had it before I said no and she pour me a shots worth and said try it before I order a whole glass. We were chatting and realized we had been waiting for a while and none of the groups ahead of us were at the door anymore. My husband checked our place online and it didn't show so he asked the hostess. She remembered us and was shocked we weren't seated. (There were two hosts seating people). She rectified the situation and immediately sat us at a table. So our waitress was an older woman named Sun. She was super nice but hard to get her attention. Justin the server at the table across from us had more tables so we asked him for refills on rice kimchi and lettuce. Now our orders. We only ordered 3 meats. At most other Korean bbq spots we have been to the meat portions are so small. If you look at my picture of pork belly that was after I took some off the plate! We didn't have to place a second order of meat because they gave us so much the first time. We also got the soup and vegetables. And I got the corn cheese. We also got another bottle of makgeolli at the table. Absolutely no complaints about the food. We couldn't figure out what the sweet white sauce was but all the dipping sauces were good. My experience here was just okay. Since I was dining alone, I wasn't allowed to do the All You Can Eat (AYCE) option and had to order à la carte instead. Overall, I had an okay experience. You check in by entering your info into a tablet at the front, which is cool because it connects to your Yelp account (if you have one). On Yelp, it confirms you're on the reservation list. However, there's no way to see how long the wait is or if you're next to be seated. So, you have to keep going up to the tablet to check manually. The waiters are young (which is fine) and very friendly, but there's definitely room for improvement. It took a few minutes for a server to come over. When they did, they explained how KBBQ works and took our first order I liked that they offer a variety of meats like pork belly, brisket, beef intestines, shrimp, beef bulgogi, chicken neck (I think thats what it was called), and squid. However, the meat was bland. Their spicy options were literally just pieces of meat drizzled with sriracha or something similar. Nothing was marinated. It was disappointing. We ordered the intestines and were let down by the quality. My husband was eating his when he felt something odd. Turns out there was a whole ROCK in his food. We told the waiter, who spoke to the manager. When he came back, he nervously laughed and said, "The manager says sorry and offers dessert," which turned out to be a moon pie with whipped cream, lol (this isn't even an option the menu). I don't know, the whole situation and the way it was handled really ruined the experience. Coming from California... Korean BBQ, Korean food in general is a staple, among other food, so hunting for a good KBBQ was a mission. So here goes nothing, I was ready to give this place a 5 stars but ended up giving it a 3 stars instead.. why?! Well... the service we got was great, we had a reservation and were seated right away when we arrived. The place is so clean compared to the place up the road, floor isn't greasy and so spacious. The menu had lots options except the Korean short ribs were not on the list, that was a bit disappointing. We enjoyed the protein, server came by and checked up on us often. Everything was good. We were offered dessert, which we said ok, but didn't realized it is not part of the AYCE and the server failed to mentioned that as well. Everything went fine until we got the bill, they have a cash option and a card option. Cash option is the price you see on the menu and the total, BUT if you choose to pay with card, they charge more. I looked everywhere on the menu and the restaurant looking for a sign that says if you pay cash it is this amount and if you pay with CARD it is more but failed to find anything. I felt this was very misleading. I get when you use a card, the restaurant has to pay a certain fee but failed to put that anywhere on the menu or anywhere visible... is very FALSE advertisement. This determine that I "might" come back. The One Korean BBQ please train your team, if you order dessert, it is not part of the AYCE and it is more... plus the dessert was not even worth it. The building is two stories, the first story is for AYCE BBQ and second story is not open yet but is supposed to be a cocktail bar. Interior is spacious, a modern but comfort look, good for groups and parties. There is also outdoor seating. The banchan (mini side dishes) came out first. My friend and I tried the brisket, garlic pork belly shrimp, squid and salmon. There were all great. There is a order limit of 3 meats and two sides per round. The meats is tender and pretty good quality. We ordered the corn cheese side and beef tofu soup for the two main sides. The corn cheese was too tasty we had to order more of it. The beef tofu was filled with flavor. Luckily we came lunch time around 3. By the time we were done we heard from the customers coming in that they ran out of most of the meats... If your not into AYCE. There is a different menu for korean A La Carte. There is a 120 time limit that starts with the first order. If you have excessive leftovers it will be $5 a plate so order what you can eat!! For big parties of 6 or more there will be a 20% service charge. I'm not sure what this building was used for previously but I loved the high ceilings. Lots of dining space with grills for parties of atleast 2 or more to eat. They also have a regular menu and I'm interested in trying other Korean dishes! The only complaint I have is that we had to ask for a high chair at least 5-6 times. We came for a date night and didn't leave disappointed! The food was great and very fun to cook on the grill. We opted for the all you can eat meal because my husband wanted to try a bunch of stuff. We tried salmon, shrimp, beef bulgogi, beef small intestine, chicken teriyaki, and squid. My personal favorite was the beef bulgogi followed by the chicken teriyaki. I've been to other bbq places like this where the chicken is cut up so small that it overcooks so easily but this was a nice cut that cooked up easily and was still very tender. The beef bulgogi was just simply to die for! I could have gotten that over and over and over again and been super happy with my visit. The shrimp were huge! I didn't realize they were head-on when we ordered them but it was fine with us...it might take some others by surprise though! I tried the intestine and the flavor was good but the texture wasn't for me. My only complaint is small but I think since we said we've been to a similar style restaurant our server didn't explain stuff to us. I didn't know what the sauces were and had to ask later. We also only had one set of tongs which was fine but I am not a spice person and had some of the spicy sauce end up on my food because we only had the one set. I know next time to ask for a second pair. I do like that they change the grill grate several times because it does eliminate the spicy sauce from getting on all the food. This was my first time trying Korean barbecue. The wonderful staff and nice ambience truly made this a wonderful experience. They do have a regular menu, but my husband and I got the all you can eat lunch barbecue. The only difference between the lunch and dinner is there is no seafood or Ramen bar with it. Honestly, we did not miss those things because everything we had was so delicious. The staff gave great suggestions and brought out the sides to go with our meal. We really enjoyed the side, especially the salad and different pickled vegetables. We had two rounds of meat, which were pork belly, beef, belly, bulgogi, and pork Bulgogi. We also loved the thin cut brisket. It was a lot of fun cooking the different meats and trying them with the sauces and toppings. We had an incredible experience here! Everything was exceptional -- the food was absolutely delicious, and everything came out quickly and fresh. The service was outstanding; our server, Jared, was so attentive, accommodating, and kind. The meat selection was so fresh and flavorful, I had to sit back between bites and reassess my life choices. Every bite? A savory mic drop. But the service--chef's kiss. The team didn't just bring their A-game, they brought the whole alphabet. They were on it with the sauces like a Michelin-starred pit crew. I blinked and suddenly had six perfect dips in front of me, refreshed without asking, mixed with care, and somehow always at the ideal temperature. Who even does that? The banchan? An edible symphony. Kimchi that could raise the dead. Japchae that whispered secrets. That pickled radish? I'd fight someone for it. Only heartbreak? We were so happy to hear that this place had finally opened. The space itself is set up nicely and there is great patio space, both on the ground level and on the second story, but you would only want to sit out there if you didn't want the experience of cooking the food at your table. There is an "all you can eat option," but my husband, teenage daughter, and I opted for one of the combos--the beef BBQ one. The quality of the meat was really great, and we had fun cooking the meat ourselves. All of the sides and condiments that came with the combo were really delicious (although, the egg soufflé wasn't our thing). The only thing we wished we had was salt to add to our meat. We *were* offered butter, and did take that, which we put on our ribeye. And the soy sauce and sauces really went a long way to help give seasoning to the meat...to the point that we weren't sure if it was rude to ask for salt and/or pepper. It turns out, we should have just asked because the owner came by our table at the end to ask how things were, and we just said we wished we had a little dish of coarse salt like we've received at a Korean BBQ place we have been to in NYC, and he made it sound like he's told the servers to offer oil, salt, and pepper to all tables. ‍ Our server was actually really great, aside from the salt not being offered. He was very attentive and, to his credit, kept asking if there was anything else we needed. So we definitely should have just asked for the salt. Most of the young employees here are kind and try really hard to serve the influx of guests, but a LOT still needs to be improved. Our party waited an hour and a half, and even though there were tables available, they refused to seat anyone. There was no waitlist so the hostess didn't even know who the hell came in before who. As the crowd grew, they finally created one. Rather than utilizing the free tables, they wanted to wait until a specific time before they started taking in names. That definitely led to chaos. Things were so all over the place that they had to turn away people who came in because of the sudden "first come first serve" rule they aboded by instead of taking in names. Finally got seated after eons and our server was a sweetheart. We were very patient because we knew it was still the soft opening, but to our surprise, this restaurant is already fully open. They're just ridiculously unprepared. Management really screwed everyone over. They have a limit of THREE meats that they can bring out regardless of how big your party is. So screw you and your family of 6! Because apparently the kitchen is too overwhelmed to do what they're supposed to do and snap at the servers when they put in more than 3 orders :) Meat was bland. "Ramen bar" was pathetic and was just a bunch of 60cent instant noodles. Sauce serving was a joke (see photo) And their "spicy" meat options are literally just pieces of meat drizzled with sriracha. They marinated NOTHING. $37 per person for this circus is comedic. And if the owners of this place don't want to go bankrupt in a year, I suggest they get their marbles in order, cause this is just ridiculous. Anyway lesson learned. Stick to the kbbq/hotpot place in Greensboro. It tastes better, meat is marinated, cheaper, and the selection is more extensive. I suggest yall do the same. read more
