Omigosh - I LOVE J Christophers! I go as much as I possibly can - which isn't much since they close at 2pm. My work schedule does not permit me. Much to my dismay. Their Belgium waffles are so light, fluffy, crisp, and slightly sweet. Topped with fresh strawberries. Fresh OJ, Fresh Coffee. The PERFECT eggs Benedict - or Christopher's version. And on those odd days that I crave a little saltiness, the Goldi-Lox. Can you say Breakfastgasm? I've been to 3 or 4 of their different locations and they're all fantastic! read more

Went there a few days ago with a large group. They say us in a private room that was perfect. I've always liked the food and the meal and service was excellent. The French toast is awesome and the bacon was cooked perfectly. A lot of places over cook the bacon, but they didn't. I'll definitely be back. read more

Decent food but nothing really exceptional. I get either the Route 66 or the sausage and eggs combo when I go. I've experienced wait times of 10-30 minutes at this location for breakfast and service tends to be mediocre with it always being packed. Good for a nice social brunch/breakfast. This restaurant is most definitely not for individuals who care about the quality of food. I could've gone somewhere else and paid the same price and had MUCH better food. Pancakes - weird aftertaste. Grits - watery. Potatoes - pretty sure they were a day old. Coffee - mediocre to say the least. Was visiting from out of town and this was close to our hotel. It was great. There was no wait and the staff was friendly. They were very accommodating to our kids. Server Charles was charismatic and attentive. The eggs Benedict was the best I've ever had. Because their dining room staff just can't get it together, get tables cleaned and get people seated.as I stand in the waiting area right now I am looking at 5 tables that are either cleaned or need to be cleaned so people can be seated... but there's a 20 minute wait! There is a restaurant very similar to J. Christopher's in south Florida called First Watch, and I don't like it. Lots of whole-wheat, granola, etc. If I want to eat a healthy breakfast, I will stay home and eat yogurt. We went to brunch with a friend today and J. C's was the venue of choice. I knew it would be like First Watch so I wasn't too enthused , but I tried to go with the flow and be a good sport. Most of the menu items didn't appeal to me, and I was just about to order water only, but then I saw something called "Just Bubba" on the menu. It consists of a biscuit with gravy, scrambled "cheese eggs", and potatoes. I substituted cheese grits for the potatoes. I was quite pleased with it, and pleasantly surprised. Our server was friendly and attentive. All in all, this kind of place isn't my thing. Doesn't mean it's bad, it's just not my cup of tea. You may love it. read more

Would love to tell you how great the food was, but came in today, no hostess on duty. When we were seated never saw a server. Asked a busboy for a server and his response was "he's over there. Not sure what's going on today." Waited another 5-10 minutes and after being there for 20 minutes with still no server, we left. My first time here and I was dying Durban omelette in the worst way. The server was very friendly and helpful and was able to get what I wanted. Definitely not the best experience I could have had. My friend ordered a bagel with cream cheese and the individual pack of cream cheese the waitress brought was open and half gone. I ordered the J. Gritsophers and they were subpar. The bacon in the grits was chewy and there were large chunks of raw jalapeños mixed in. I asked for butter and never got it. After having breakfast many times at the Powers Ferry location years ago and enjoying it, I thought I would try lunch at the Town Center location. BIG MISTAKE! I had Fish Tacos with black beans floating in dish water, and some kind of yellow rice stuff. The rice was OK, the Fish Tacos were terrible, and the dishwater beans were just sad. My fish taco consisted of fish and cabbage. Missing was the "baja salsa, cool avacado ranch dressing and lime" listed on the menu. It just tasted wierd. My wife had the Pantry Feast and said there just wasn't much to it, a better breakfast can be had at Waffle House. Oh, and don't get me started about the service. The waiter brought our food and we didn't see him again until he brought our check. Never checked on us, never filled our empty water glasses, never ask if we needed anything, never ask how the food was....NOTHING. There were no more than 8 customers in the place, so the wait staff wasn't swamped, they just didn't care. I don't know if the whole chain has gone downhill, or just the Town Center location is sub-par, but I will never go to J Christopher's again. read more
