I had my first visit (finally) to J Christopher's for brunch. Honestly, I was really let down because it was so highly recommended. The only thing that was really good were the Elvis Cakes, which aren't even on the menu except for the month of August. I ordered the Traditional, which was less than spectacular. My eggs tasted like they were the kind out of the carton and the cheese I had added to them was absolutely horrible, someone needs to spend a little more cheddar on their cheese. The bacon was tasty but it wasn't crisp and the coffee wasn't too memorable. However, the Elvis Cakes that my boyfriend had were delicious; these were pancakes with bananas and peanut butter chips on top and were absolutely amazing. I've been to this and other J. Christopher's locations dozens of times. This is a great place for typical American breakfast. The menu is a good size and has a surprising number of items. Everything I've ordered here has been very tasty, even the coffee. The service is usually very good and I've rarely had a problem. We've had larger groups in the past and they've been accommodating. If you come during the fall and winter, they have amazing pumpkin pancakes. The only reason I don't give this a 5 is the noise. They've made some bad design choices inside with flat wood ceilings and tiled floors. It's often full on the weekend and it gets hard to hold a conversation. read more

i love j. christopher's. it's been like a family favorite for a few years. the location off atlanta rd was removed so i came to this location that i have been to a few times before. it's been a while and the food was just as good as i thought it would be. i got various things in the past and the meals never disappointed. today i got the pantry feast while trying the blueberry crunchcakes for the first time and they were amazing. the eggs with cheese, bacon and potatoes were as good as i remember them being. but again, the bacon and eggs were excellent! my best friend and i's waitress was nice but the service was a little above average.. maybe she was preoccupied with other duties and customers but she had us waiting a while for our checks. however, that alone did not tarnish my experience. i thoroughly enjoyed my meal. read more

There is not anything really special about J. Christopher. The food was good though nothing to completely rave about. I had the turkey and avocado skillet. The flavors meshed together well but the turkey was more cold cut turkey and not sliced turkey also the avocado was not really fresh. It seemed more like bagged avocado sauce. I tried the pancakes and wasn't wowed either. They were edible but not delicious. While sitting there I had the feeling that I was sitting in a Waffle House or IHOP. As a self proclaimed Breakfast Beast, I don't think I would get up super early on a Saturday to head to this place but if I was meeting co-workers for a pre-workday breakfast, it's a great choice. read more

I've eaten here several times, but most recently on Sunday (03/06/2016). I've never really had an issue with this establishment, and I think their food is delicious. Most recently though, I ordered the Eggs Christopher, which is their version of the traditional Eggs Benedict. My favorite part of the entire dish was ruined. I'm sure all Eggs Benedict fans can probably guess what my issue was. The poached eggs were over-cooked. It's disappointing when you expect the egg yolk to bleed out when you poke the egg, but instead nothing happens and you see that the yolk has been cooked thoroughly through. Other than that, the rest of my experience was pretty nice and standard. Though they were busy, we didn't feel rushed and had a nice experience. read more

I just discovered this place and so glad I did! I can't believe I've been missing out all this time. It's much bigger than it appears outside. It was clean and well lit. I ordered a strawberry Belgium waffle with a side of bacon and a cafe moca. The syrup, whip cream and straw berries on top were delicious and the waffle was cooked just right. The bacon was cooked like homemade, can't go wrong there. The moca could have been sweeter but there was sugar and sweetener on the table to get it just right. The server was friendly and prompt with our order and the check. I went back again a few days later. I will be a regular here. read more

I'm usually not a breakfast person so when my director told us we were going for a team lunch to J. Christopher's I wasn't too excited and convinced myself that I would make a scene by taking forever and a half finding something to order. This wasnt the case. They have more than just breakfast here BUT more than that their breakfast offerings are pretty tasty sounding. I was torn between a skillet and the Goddess omelette. I finally went with the omelette which had cherry tomato, spinach and (yum) feta. The meal came with potatoes or grits (I chose potatoes) and a biscuit or choice of pancake (blueberry or chocolate chip.) I went with the chocolate chip. So much food! It was so good. Definitely hit the spot and the young man who waited on us did a magnificent job. He appeared to be maybe young 20's tops but boy oh boy is he good! We did not have to ask for a refill on drink..he was right there. Very attentive and customer service driven. I am coming back for sure. read more

I just had the South Beach breakfast at J. Christopher's on Powers Ferry Rd in Marietta. The service provided by Brittany was excellent and my meal was perfect. I even saw Christina, one of the key staff, cleaning the chairs legs at the table next to my booth. Christina said that when the breakfast rush slows down, she likes to keep busy cleaning and doing other tasks to ensure this restaurant is clean for the next customers. I don't know why this location is far inferior to the one in Smyrna. I was alone, so I sat at the bar. I asked for a coffee with a side of caramel syrup. The server brought me the coffee, and the type of caramel you pour over a sundae, not the syrup you add to coffee. But the burnt bread really pissed me off because the kitchen sent the burnt side on the bottom, hoping I wouldn't notice. They did take it off the bill though. If you like sweet tea but not overly sweet I suggest to get half reg tea and half sweet tea. My daughter liked the quesadilla and roasted red pepper soup as well! The portions are just right for me.
