I brought my 2011 Toyota Camry to Toy Tech after my check engine light came on due to an O2 sensor…read morecode. I paid $158 for a diagnostic and was told the downstream O2 sensor was faulty. Although I was informed that the upstream sensor was not currently failing, I was encouraged to replace both at the same time. I chose to replace only the downstream sensor since that was identified as the source of the issue. Approximately six days after the repair, the check engine light returned. When I contacted the shop, I was advised that the upstream O2 sensor would now need to be replaced at an additional cost of $404. When I asked whether there could be another underlying cause, I did not feel my questions were thoroughly addressed. I decided to seek a second opinion from another repair facility. They diagnosed the problem as an exhaust leak. After repairing the exhaust leak for $160, the check engine light has remained off and the issue has been resolved. I understand that automotive diagnostics can sometimes require further evaluation; however, I am disappointed that the original diagnostic did not identify the exhaust leak and that additional part replacements were recommended before the root cause was determined. Based on my experience with Toytech, I would advise others to consider obtaining a second opinion before authorizing further repairs.

I went with German Auto Service again for repair work as they came in under dealership pricing. The dealer wanted $3400 for this repair plus tax. Graf, the owner quoted me out $1900 plus tax which ended up just at $2045 saving me $1700. Based on his previous work he'd done for me this would have been the biggest job he'd done for me yet engine wise! The parts needed to be special ordered and I made my appointment a week in advance. The dealership had already confirmed this needed to be completed and I prepaid for most of the work not a demand of his but something I like to do so I don't spend the money and end up charging it. So I figured he would have ordered most of the parts needed and made sure he had everything. Apparently there is a special part part to make sure the chains are too dead center and that part took some special ordering and didn't arrive for almost 2 weeks due to the thanksgiving holiday. Other than some unfortunate timing delays everything went off without a hitch and now I don't hear that awful chainsaw sound and I'm confident the vehicle will run smoothly without Timing chain issues for years to come with regular maintenance. The very next next week I was back in here with my other Car getting my blower motor fixed. I thought it would take the day or a couple to get the part but to my shock and surprise Graf had the parts in stock and was able to fix my car quick and easy! It was expensive for the parts but his labor is very reasonable for German repair work. Love Love Love this place.

I took it to TSM and they told me the compressor was bad and that it would be $1300 to fix. I was concerned, but I went ahead and approved the repair. I picked up my car after they had closed and while driving home, the cold air stopped blowing!! The original problem was NOT fixed it would work, then it wouldn't work, just like it had been doing before the $1300 repair. I took my car back the next day and they said there was a circuit that was dirty which was causing the air conditioner to quit, and oh, by the way, the compressor was bad too, so the $1300 was necessary. In the end the TMS auto, the' Elite Ethics Certified' repair shop is nothing more than a parts swapping repair service, that will support their mechanics regardless of the cost to the customers. So, think twice before going there.

they are not an honest shop. They took advantage of a coworker.. they replaced a thermostat housing…read moreafter I sent just the thermostat . He could have just swapped them but instead decided to order a whole new one. The car was in for over heating and he said he pressure tested it.. there is no way because the water outlet housing was cracked all the way up and through on both lines . coolant would have been spraying everywhere or blown them apart.. the hoses were soft and needed replaced. I called to discuss the bill and he got mad and started trying to add more .. he said he didn't charge for the thermostat housing that was gonna be another 60$.. I told him no you will get it back we put a stainless aftermarket thermostat housing on and a stainless water outlet housing on and replaced hoses . The turbo had NOTHING to do with the car overheating!!! Yet he charged 135$ for a turbo kit and 400$ for turbo labor when a simple basic pressure test on the coolant would have exposed the leak.... You could smell the antifreeze and see the leak! Anyways she paid 772.55$ for NOTHING a thermostat housing she didn't need.. the antifreeze and a turbo kit that I'd love to see receipts on... because it's not there.. I looked .. she has a car that still overheated... he fixed nothing and him and the lady cussed us out when we questioned the bill and work.. it was leaking this bad when she took the car in.. I have before and after pics of the car..

I had service code 1235, which was oil change, transmission service, coolant service, air and cabin filter replacement. They basically gave me the car back with a massive oil leak. I had to take the car back the next day to have it fixed. I have massive amounts of oil all over my driveway and the worst thing is, after they fixed the leak they didn't even refill my oil. I checked after I got home and it doesn't even register on the dipstick. Now I'm going to have to take my car back yet a 3rd time to have oil added. The quality of work at this place is not good!
