Le is so wonderful at my gel manicure. Quick and a perfectionist, which I like. She also gave me a yellow rose for Mother's Day. So sweet!!

I think Jen and Kim do good but the rest are not the best I got nails on the color I did not ask for there very textured no clean I also asked for square them made them coffin

I love J Nails! I've been going there for years and can't recommend it enough. All my friends and family now go to J Nails and love it too. Jen is the sweetest person and will amaze you every time with her talent. Everyone who works there is incredibly kind and does an amazing job. I truly can't recommend J Nails enough.

I decided to take my self to get my nails done and a pedicure since it's been so long and I'm extremely disappointed in the service I received. The pedicure was good luckily but my nails look utterly ridiculous. They aren't fully glued down my real nail is clearly showing and my nails on the right hand all are going sideways. The ladies were very nice but for 130$ you'd think the work would be a bit nicer. I won't be returning but thought I'd share so others can save their time and money.

I decided to treat myself to a mani pedi, only to realize that nearly none of the salons down here had room for a walk-in (or didn't take them at all). The lovely folks at J let me walk in without any fuss, and I was seated in minutes. I let them upsell me to the callus scrub pedi along with the regular mani. I adored the leg scrub with fresh oranges and limes, along with a hot stone massage! My nails looked pretty good, though my cuticles still looked kind of rough (I'm a nail biter, alas). I also asked for white polish on my nails, and the polish she chose was clear with gold sparkles. It still looks cute, though! Overall I'm happy, thanks!

Came in for a full set and ended up with Thi :) Thi was really patient and knew what I wanted. She's very talented and super sweet. I loved that she made sure to ask me before she put a color on. I also appreciated that she didn't make my nails bleed, because that's happened a lot to me before by other nail salons in the area. I've been trying to find a good nail tech in this area and I finally found Thi! I will definitely be going back to her, she's great. Ambiance is nice and it's pretty quiet and relaxing.

Got these done morning of Christmas Eve. This is Christmas morning. I'll spend Christmas with chippy nails. The particular person who I got just didn't seem interested in her work. Young, long hair, wearing college volleyball sweatshirt. I think with more care, maybe it wouldn't do this? I don't know. Even my home "manicures" don't chip this quick. Really disappointing. My friend told me to go to J Nails for prom and request the lady to do my acrylics. They looked AMAZING! She was super friendly and even though it took a bit to get seated (I had a reservation), it was totally worth the wait! Most places around here have left me disappointed with my acrylics, but this time my nails look fabulous. Even better than the reference picture! Would definitely recommend read more

I had dipping powder done twice and my nails chipped like crazy each time. Now I'm having to go to another salon to get my nails completely redone. I think J Nails uses cheap dipping products. They don't last for two weeks. read more

Kim was the best all-around for Milk and honey pedicure & basic manicure. For $100- (included Gel mani & French mani. Kim was thorough & strong which made foot leg including both knees & hand to wrists. They may have substituted something from description on spa menu as I did not get "hot rocks"; I was the last appt tho--I'm sure if I asked they'd have brought them right out as they definitely "aim to please their customers"! This is now be my "go-to nail Spa". Loved this experience. read more

love my nails! down side was he filed my skin and that hurt pretty bad and he was a bit rude and just walked away while my gel was under the lamp told me "your finished when the timer is up" my nails look great though and it was cheap so i can't complain too much. Good technique but bad service read more

Went to J Nails today, the technician was rude. I went in there with acrylic/gel on my nails. I showed her my concerns. She said okay that's fine and started to remove them. In the process of removing them she decided to take a false nail and dig underneath. I removed my hand and told her that, that was painful. She then said "that's because your nail so thin" no mam I am not going to let you pop the acrylic off my nails I can do that ghetto BS at home myself. Then she preceded to cut my nails and then cut me. When I showed her where she cut me she said "no that's how you came in here" nawwww sway I didn't come in here bleeding. At this point I had started to second guess my decision for new dip/tips/ and design, I told her to just remove the previous acrylic and a manicure. No color. Then she tells me to just put gel on my nails and that will allow them to "heal" no mam! As I am checking out the man that was at the front says to me "where did you get your nails done before?" "Oakland" he smiles and then says "okay". I tipped her for her time left and took it as a lessoned learned! Nope I will 100% not be back. The place was clean,everyone wore a mask, they only take cash, and finally the total for the 1/2 ass removal, smart comments, and bleeding it was $26.00 ‍‍ they get one star because of the mask and cleanliness read more

Ok, so even after I had previous bad experiences at this establishment I came back, twice more, like a dummy (but in my defense it's close to my house) But this time it's a final, I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE! 1st: The floors and the entire place were filthy. 2nd: I had an appointment (that I made in person ) and I get there and they already have to many people there to handle, I said I had an appointment and the guy says "ok what you need" and tells me to sit , which I did, for 15 mins before I was finally delt with at all. Then to add to the fun, the owners child was running around barefoot, and filthy being loud as heck with a cell phone watching paw patrol ON HIGH VOLUME for the entire place to hear and no one ever even attempted to rectify what was happening (on the contrary, they thought it was cute and funny) it definitely wasent what I wanted to listen to. Then the kicker was, despite the fact they were CLEARLY to busy they just kept taking more walk ins and letting them sit and wait. It was a complete mess and I could tell others were irratated. That being said , despite the fact this place is so convenient (due to being close to my house) I will ABSOLUTLY be going elsewhere . read more

Deluxe pedicure was awesome! Asked for rounded ombré rounded French tips but I was not impressed with them at all. I think they are too narrow looking personally. I would probably just get the regular mani with gel next time. read more

Their sign on the window says Walk Ins welcome. I've walked in twice in the past and they didn't have time for me, said to make an appointment. Yesterday I had an appointment and the front girl was so rude! Raised her voice at me twice "What do you want done??!!" Then I sit and wait for 15 minutes and she comes over to an open pedicure chair and jerks the chair arm up, and as she walks away rudely says "sit here!" No water running at least. I'm not sure what her problem was but if she's not happy working there, she should look for a different job. I walked out. read more

I'm new to the area and was looking for a new salon. When meeting ladies with pretty nails I'd ask them what salon they used and oddly they all said Dan at J Salon. That was a sign I HAD to go! Glad I did! Fast service and my nails look amazing. I like that they use bowl covers for their pedicure sinks! I'm going back soon for a pedicure! Thanks Dan! read more

I like this nail shop and it's the only place I go. Although I recommend it I gave it 4 stars because at times I feel rushed when they are busy even if I had an appointment and I don't like that. Dan is on point. Seriously the fastest I have ever gotten my nails done (acrylics) EVS. Probably because he used to live in Detrioit. Idk but when I told him he was so fast he was surprised that I was surprised! Haha. I've gotten my nails done often and usually go to minilux in sloa nd they are great. But I might be switching to the other side.... I work in pismo now, and I was looking fo something fast so I went to them because of the reviews and heard that Dan was the bomb// rest assure he is! My nails came out PERF. Like I don't understand how he did them so beautiful in half the time everyone else does them. Idk if it's just me or just the people I have been to, but I feel like it usually takes like two hours in a typical nail salon, he only took an hour!! Nails speak for them selves. Only cons---- the first time I went in after he applied the color and put me aside to dry, a rush in the salon came in and my nails weren't completely dry and they sent me home and attempted to put fast drying nail drops on but my nails messed up after. Called next day and they were happy to fix it! Another con, seats are completely umcomfortable. I have a bad back and the chair was irritating me the whole time, but honestly my nails were worth it! We come in here often, Dan is always busy so I was looking for someone else to do my pink and whites...well I found her. Jane did a great job and listened to what I wanted. HORRIBLEEEE service! One of the techs practically yelled at me. Then the tech that did my nails didn't look to see if my nail shapes matched and most of them didn't. Decided not to get a pedicure since service and my acrylic set were disappointing and they were rude about my decision. They brought it up multiple times & asked why I asked for a pedicure if i wasnt gonna get one. It shouldn't matter why. Never going back. Also my nail tech didn't clean after her last client, so they're also unsanitary. read more

Dan did an AMAZING job on my nails. He's so attentive and the woman who gave me my pedicure was an absolute doll (the hot rock massage is fantastic) Dan laid little pieces of gold flake into my acrylic to give me an amazing 3D effect on my accent nail. The shape and thickness of my nails is perfect. Could not recommend this place more! Can't wait to come back! read more

Used to be my favorite place. But it just seemed to go downhill. The people don't know what they're doing anymore and they are super rude. I have been going to Princess Nails for 6 months now and I haven't had a problem plus they are super nice and Nina is just a sweetheart. I will never step foot in J nails again! read more

Danz and Amy run a detail oriented salon! The best pedi in the area! They even line the pedi bowl for sanitation. Other places with a fill ignore under the nail...Danz takes added time to clean under the nails and also fixes any cuticle skin issues. If quality and efficiency are wanted give this new 5 Cities salon a try! read more

Showed up at 3 pm for an appointment for 2 pedicures. All of the chairs were full, which was an…read moreinitial red flag. We asked how long, they said "5 minutes". Okay fine. By the time we were seated it was pushing 3:20. One person started working on my feet, while the person I was there with just sat in the chair. Another 20 minutes goes by and no one had even come over to help. The person doing my toes went off to help someone with a transaction. In that time 3 more people came in for appointments, still with no one to help them. At that point we decided to cut our losses and leave. So we spent 40 minutes doing nothing. I got my toe nail polish off and toenails trimmed, that's it. The person I went with had no service done at all. No one really seemed to care that we weren't being helped or that we walked out. The person doing my toes did apologize but otherwise it felt like they didn't care and they had put us in the chairs only to keep us there not to serve us. I'm incredibly disappointed as I've had great experiences here before, but being treated that way, with an appointment is unacceptable. If you didn't have enough people to serve us, tell us that. I would have happily come later in the day or at a different time instead of being treated like that. Unfortunately we won't be returning.

Let me start out by saying I was on vacation in Pismo when I decided to get my nails done. My toe…read morenails were getting long and my fingernails were snagging on everything. I walked in and asked if they had time for a mani - pedi, "oh yes... pick your color". I then decided as I was sitting in the chair for my feet that I would just go ahead and ask if I could get a full set on my nails. Why not? I'm on vacation. When i mentioned my change in plans I was told there was only 1 person that could do a full set. And she was booked for the next 2 hours. Maybe I could come back in 2-3 hours or tomorrow? Uh. N O ... This was disappointing. So now I sit in the chair knowing I'm only going to get half of what I really want. I'm a tad annoyed, but try to enjoy my pedicure. My big toe has a tip and acrylic on it as I wear boots for work and the nail was halfway through the process of growing back from falling off. I asked the tech if she could file it and fill it and she chose to do what she wanted to do, file it and paint it. There was no fill. What the....?? Anyways, my nails are now drying and in comes 4 more people. More pedicures and more waiting. 45 minutes later I'm still sitting there apparently waiting for my nails to dry and nothing being done to my fingernails as there aren't any additional techs to do it. Finally I apologize for interrupting my neighbor's services and tell the tech I am done sitting there and express that surely my nails are more than dry. I get up, pay for my services and am asked if I have cash.... No. I don't carry cash, most people don't carry cash and a lot of places outside of nail salons don't want cash. Oh and by the way, i'm tipping on the card. Just ring me up so I can leave. This event that was supposed to be relaxing has turned out to be more of an annoyance than anything. I was not fully satisfied with my service and I don't think I'll go to this establishment again. Needless to say, I went to Rite Aid next door and bought a nail file, nail clippers, fingernail polish and did my own damn nails. With that said, I will give myself 5 stars for keeping my cool, rolling with what cards I have been dealt and possibly saving myself $50.

It took about an hour the guy who took care of my feet , his name was Michael, he talked me into getting the gel since I did not wear sandals, this way the polish would dry immediately. I saw the menu price list hanging from his cart so I asked for the $40 deluxe +15 so I figure 55 bucks when I went to pay they charged me $65 and still asked for a tip. He did a great job so I didn't feel pressured for a tip when I was paying, I was not thinking or adding it up in my head until we we walked outside. The next time I'll get it in writing ha ha ha. It was a really good service experience massage my name my feet my feet with his hands and I guess to loosen them up? A hot stone treatment, hot towels etc .As a custodian on my feet I appreciate this,my feet felt wonderful and relaxed. All in all I would recommend them. The only reason I gave them four stars was because of the price mixup or not. Good music playing in the background.

I went here today for the first time and did acrylic on my nails and i gotta say i love how my nails turned out! Personally I really love red so I asked my tech do it for me. She was really thorough and accommodating :) She did a great job of making the nails look very natural. I have never done my nails before so i was very indecisive with what i wanted to do but she was patient with me and even told me the price estimates of all the designs I showed her. I definitely recommend this place and will prob be coming here more often! read more

I have heard nothing but great things about this place. I came in to get my acrylic nails removed and a manicure. My manicurist did a good job soaking them off without pain. When it came to my manicure I was very disappointed. The manicure consisted of removing cuticles and polish ONLY. No cuticle oil, lotion or hand massage. To top it off the polish was put on very thick and uneven..... I am not a happy customer. read more

I have been to many nail salons in the area. I have to say, J's is the best. It is the cleanest, they use the best products and tools and have the most talented staff. Jen does my french tip acrylics and she is amazing. I have had pedicures and my nails done by various other staff there and have always left happy. Going to J's is one of my favorite ways to pamper myself. read more

J Nails is my favorite pedicure place! They give the longest foot/leg massage of anywhere I've ever been and they do a great job with their pedicures. The long massage is the main reason I keep coming back. The women are all so nice and take such good care of me. Dan is great. He has been doing my nails for almost a year. He is really professional. He takes his time and very detailed. The place is very clean. Been here twice and the first time it was a good pedicure and I LOVED their chairs. Second time I splurged and got the best pedi money could buy and man what a difference.
