What a little gem, stashed in the shadows of a dominos pizza mini mall. Chef Alex's little fresh sandwich and soup place is a treasure. I tried a tasty Bahn Mi with crispy pork belly and little pickled veggies complimented by slices of spicy jalapeños on a beautifully baked French baguette. Initially I came to this location because I wanted to try the restaurant "J.T. Prime" which is located right next door. I was drawn in because of the chef, Alex Trujillo's food at another restaurant The Patio, so I looked up the restaurant on Facebook and found out he owns other restaurants in town. Supporting local businesses is important during this time, so I'm going to be trying all three restaurants and leaving reviews. Today I came into the sandwich shop and it has a pleasing rustic-chic vibe when you come in. His food is unique and varies in flavors and cultures. For foodies like me, this is a dream come true! I tried the cubano but replaced the pork product with beef short ribs, the club 21 sandwich, the wedge salad, and the J.T. fries. Everything was super good!! So good I wanna go back and try more! We also ordered a couple lemonades which is light on the sugar and made out of real lemons (you can just tell). You can tell the owner goes above and beyond when choosing his ingredients as well as when he creates these unique, flavorful dishes. I was so excited to try this place as it had a lot of plant based options! I ordered online and came when it said it should be ready. I walked in with a huge smile on my face because it was a great day. The cashier was in a horrible mood and said sorry your meal hasn't been started yet. She yelled back to the chef. I waited for another 15 minutes. No apology, or even complimentary Glass of water. There were three other people waiting for pickup orders and one family dining in. Everyone looked annoyed at how long they were waiting. It did not seem busy. As a fellow business owner I'm pretty sure this business will fail with this horrible customer service. Food was great! However customer service was horrible. I walked in didn't get a hello. Paid and didn't even get a thank you, just complete silence. When I got my change back the cashier walked away picked up a bag and a cup and set it on a counter that was away from me then continued to talk to the restaurant staff. Stopped for lunch between Phoenix and San Diego. Good, polite, quick service. We had the Club 21 and Vallarta Especial. Both very good. Lots of avocado on both. So like Ive said in my other posts I usually don't like to review a place if I've only been there once or twice I've been the JT Bros four times now at least. And they use to be really good. They would make a sandwich that I would crave but now when I got it the last two times it was pretty pathetic. I don't know if they're trying to keep cost down on the food and skimping, or if there's a different chef, but I was pretty disappointed the last two times I've been there. So if you're going don't expect anything great. The food is different, and it's local so two stars for trying, but I don't think I'll be going back after this last visit. Also the service is horrible, I know it's hard to find good employees in Yuma, but you could at least train the girls to listen to you when you are ordering. I'd start to ask a question about a sandwich and they would start entering it in the computer as if I was ordering. Then they would say is that it for you and i would say no I don't think I want that. and I ask a question about a different sandwich and they would also start putting that into the computer as if I was ordering. Someone needs to help those girls out with customer service. We also ordered fries that came like 10 minutes after we got our sandwiches. The place is also a little high-priced. Which I don't mind if it's local and you're getting something unique. But this is just not worth it. I've always had good food here but, today when we order and planned on sitting at the tables which were set up. They failed to mention that the dining area was closed ( no signs posted ) until after we paid. We were forced to wait outside until our food was ready for take out, not impressed. The sandwich looked and smelled good I forgot to take a picture before taking a bite. It has a great serving size and offers military discounts. Great find! We are always looking for somewhere to stop for lunch when passing through Yuma. This little place is a great alternative to fast food. Very simple place with just one large high top table and a few tables outside. I had the chicken salad wrap and my daughter had the veggie wrap; both were delicious! You can make it a meal with chips and a drink, they have fresh ice tea, homemade lemonade and fruit infused water. Highly recommend! :) read more

This would be a 2-star review because I hate their Banh mi. Literally, the only reason I went was to get that sandwich. The veg wasn't pickled, it was soggy because they drenched it in a hot bbq sauce. There was no spice in the sandwich which boasted a siracha sauce and pickled jalapenos. The bread was wrong. It was a bbq pork sandwich and a pretty good one at that. But a terrible Banh mi. Got an extra star because my mom enjoyed her food and the fries were delicious. Got another star because my mom said my dad thoroughly enjoyed the "fake" Banh mi and I trust his taste buds. So 4-stars but buyers beware, it is not a Banh mi sandwich. read more

Obviously the vegan based garbanzo posole with tiny pieces of chicken, flavorless shortcut no hominy, if you advertise chicken posole you should serve that. Garlic fries were not garlicky at all, actually rather salty. Now the piece de resistance, I came specifically because of the Harvest Salad, Roasted beets, arugula goat cheese oranges a little romaine and passion fruit vinaigrette that menu item I saw online brought me here! Not what I got...I was served pineapples, strawberries , oranges and goat cheese on a bed of green leaf tops, when I asked about my salad, the cashier said we don't have the ingredients for it so it's bits of other stuff WTF? So, I've come here three times, and each time they have failed to make the food with the ingredients listed on the menu. I've had the Club 21, which had no jalapenos, when it's supposed to. I had the Reuben, which was just awful. The corned beef came as huge chunks that were unchewable, and on top of that there was no sauerkraut on it. Only 1000 island dressing and cheese. You don't even put cheese on Reubens! The cauliflower steak sandwich had tomatoes instead of pickled onions. And lastly, my shredded beef wrap had hot-ass jalapenos on it when it isn't supposed to have them. Overall, the food isn't terrible, but they can't get the ingredients right to save their lives... they have good hummus though. read more

I was looking for a place with vegan options and this place has several options available on their menu. I enjoyed their delicious (wow!) garlic fries and a humus avocado sandwich. So good. My non-vegan husband loved his breakfast burrito. This is run by a chef and you can tell the quality of their meals. Prices are affordable and they are open for breakfast. Very clean and nice environment. They have a real record player playing cool music. Another note is their lemonade and ice teas are made fresh.
