I have been here a few times and I'm done. I've never been inside this restaurant, always ordered at the drive through window. The past few experiences here they forget something or something is missing from the burrito/ burger. In the past they have forgotten to give us the hash browns so we have to go back. Another time, they forget the sausage in the burrito, again had to go back. And this last time, I didn't get what breakfast sandwich, I asked for. Apparently, the online menu varies by location and not everything on the menu is available at all locations. That's fine, I understand but if someone orders something you don't carry then speak up! Don't assume or substitute the order to what you think I wanted. With that said, I did the survey on the receipt as well as reached out to Jack in the box online though the contract us link. I did hear back within 20 minutes or so. This person reached out to me by text message, not calling me. I prefer to discuss complaints over the phone, not by text message. I feel text messages doesn't get the point across correctly and takes more time to text back and forth. Long story short, he asked me to come back and they could fix the order. I'm not going back and forth again. 2nd asked me if I confirmed the order on the screen. I said, I was not able to since the employee had the total on the screen before I could review it. 3rd then blamed it on the names of the sandwich are similar. Then told me, he would forward my issue to the manager and corporate office, so you're not the manager! Apparently it was the supervisor. (Not sure, if it really was the supervisor). I feel he should have identified himself at the beginning of the text and informed me he the supervisor of the location. Besides not getting what I ordered. The food, we did receive was correct but not good. I also ordered a hash brown and it was dripping in oil and falling apart soft. My husband order a burger and they drenched it in mustard. Jack In The Box located on 1826 Website Street in Alameda California it's a major issue with Server Maria L. This is the second time she gave a halfway filled milkshake. On July 15, 2026 at 4:47 PM the server had an attitude and was not polite what so ever. She gave half a milkshake and did not give the full order. Had to ask for the some of the order she did not give and to refill milkshake because it was half full. I told her if this happens again on the order, I will turn her into the manager. read more

It had been a while since I last came to this Jack in the Box and it seemed like not much had changed. I walked in and the place was empty. No one in line and no one eating inside either. It seemed more like a place where people ordered their food to go now. I got their advertised Bonus Jack Combo for $4.49. The burger tasted fine and I felt like it was similar to a Big Mac but with a different sauce. The fries were the best part of the meal since they were crispy and nicely salted. They had the Coca Cola Peach soda and it was my first time ever seeing this flavor anywhere so I had to try it. Not much to say except it tasted like Coca Cola and peach. This was a small location with a few tables inside. They had one restroom that both men and women could use. The parking lot was small and only had a few parking spaces. It did have a drive thru but the path was narrow. I thought the place as a whole was very clean. read more

This location has continued to come in clutch for late night/super early morning meals for myself and some friends. It's been years since I stepped inside but what I can say about present day is that the drive thru has always taken well care of my orders. They're also pretty quick with shooting them out, so the wait time at most is minimal. I guess it's fair to say the late night staff, provides a great environment for customers to order and pick up their food. For that, I will give this a 4/5. It's above average, and in particular much faster in wait time than the location on the other side of Alameda. read more

Please do not Purchase anything from this Restaurant. I have complained about a worker, late 20's, Mexican, light skin, dark hair wears it cut very short on the back and sides, he works evenings. He is always extremely rude. I guess the owner has informed him of my bad reviews, so as I had predicted when I wrote about his behavior the first time, he now has control over all the staff. I arrived at 5:45 pm. The worker ignored me for 5 minutes, it was obvious he did not wish to take my order. When he made eye contact with me, I asked him was there someone who could take my order. He answered, "No" I needed to wait 20 min. for another worker. I told him I wanted 4 Jumbo Jacks. I stood there until 6:15(30 min.), then he spoke in spanish to the worker cooking the burgers, and walked to me rang up the order. I paid, and the burgers were already made, I now understood he spoke in spanish telling them my order prior to making contact with me. My food tonight was pitiful, all 4 children complained, the burgers were flat, like only bun and over cooked patty, cheese 99% melted off, 1 little lettuce leaf, that turned slimy from being cooked by the over-cooked HOT burger, 1 skinny little slice of tomato. I am a retired colonel from the United States Marine Corps. I should not be getting treated like this by this person, who is allowed by the owner to treat me in this fashion, because I complained about his rude behavior toward me at Christmas time. I had a craving for chicken nuggets, and the nearest place was Jack-in-the-Box ( JITB) on Webster St. Then I noticed that I never left a review for this hometown JITB. This is an old restaurant, it used to have the original Jack in the Box drive-thru speaker back in the early days. It was a clown on top of a box. So when you place your order, you speak to the clown! So how was my visit? Drive-thru (DT) took about 4-5 mins. The DT line wraps around thru the parking lot. Staff were ok. Chicken Nuggets were fairly fresh. I believe the holding time for chicken nuggets is only 20 mins. Use the sauces, and the nuggets are edible and enjoyable. This Jack in the Box location in Alameda is hands down the greatest of all time. I first tried Jack in the Box over 3 decades ago. Always loved the tacos and oreo shake. I have eaten at many a Jack in the Box all across the country. I've been here at 3am and 3pm and every time between throughout the last 3 years. The food here is always delicious, hot, crispy, fast. The quality is astonishing considering the price, I even prefer this JITB over in-n-out. What really stands out though is the people working here. Always helpful, thoughtful, patient and friendly. Even at 4am with some crazier needy people in the drive thru, the staff is reliably kind and patient and helpful. I hope they're getting paid what they deserve! read more

I love their deals when I'm a hurry. The app offers many things not included in the location but they honour the offers and deals. I arrived and was parked and decided to go in as I opted in for that option when ordering in the app, the other picking up your good in the drive thru. When I went inside it was extraordinarily small. The smell the usual fast food smell. But what strikes me odd is that the floors were being washed in the kitchen and order counter. It felt bizarre because soap and maybe chemicals were splattering up towards the food, cups, straws, etc. Should I be concerned ? read more

Open during COVID-19. After buying groceries at Grocery Outlet, I decided to see what deals were on the Jack in the Box app. $3 chicken strips, $2 onion rings and $2 small Oreo Shake?! I'm sold! Add that I could get a free 5 piece nuggets with a mobile order and I put my order in, pressed the start order button and was on my way! The order was perfect. Everything was made fresh and crispy. The only reason they have 4 stars is because when I've gone into the restaurant in the past, their soda machine has either even broken or only has diet soda (which I don't drink). I've been going to this location for years, always during the day, almost never at night, so I don't know any of the night employees. I can tell you the daytime staff is the BEST! They are super hard-working, friendly , courteous, and have remembered how I like my food for years without me having to tell them when I order. I will refrain from mentioning my specific preferences so they might not know who left this review (my name isn't really Sean), but they prolly will anyway. I was there today and witnessed the staff dealing with a crazy lady screaming and swearing at them about how to cook her food. They took it in stride, smiling and trying to please the rude idiot. It was a great floor show to go with my yummy tacos! They must get crazies all the time , bless their hearts. And, the app has better offers than any other fast food app. I do wish they would get a new drink machine, though. It just never works lol. I don't know which of my fellow yelpers reported that this Jack in the Box is closed. Absolutely false and inaccurate. This Jack in the Box has been at this location since the 1970's. AAMOF, it has been there going all the way back to September 1970. How do I know? After attending classes at College of Alameda over 40+ years ago, I used to come to JintheB for their special - 4 tacos for $1.00 - for lunch. My husband and I just stopped in to get something to eat. Per the receipt, check in time was 7:52:25 PM and the date, 11/27/2019. The employee who took our food order was Martha. Receipt also has a telephone number. It is (510) 523-6396. Eats: Chick-n-tater meal, which included two tacos, halfsie fries and a small drink. Cost: $8.72 (tax included). Finally, I doubt if the people at Yelp HQ will remove the notice that this fast food eatery is closed. I have proof that they are indeed opened for business. Horrible back and forth last night, won't ever get refunded because Jack and the box never answers their customer service email. I went through the drive-through with my mobile order. I placed five minutes before getting there and I told them my name, and they kept asking me if I put it under another name and I said no, and they asked me if I ordered it to the right location. I read the address back to them and they confirmed that was their address. then they proceeded to tell me to come to the window. When I wait behind a couple cars, I come to the window and they tell me they don't have my order. And they were like did you place it recently? It's not in our system. And I was like, yeah, I put it in a couple minutes before. Just give it a few minutes. So I offered to move out of the drive-through because I know that there's a countdown timing their drive-through time. He goes yeah I'll bring it out to you when it's ready. It's 10 PM, I just dropped someone off after work and just wanted something to eat. He comes out to my car and goes. We don't have your order after five minutes. I proceeded to show him. My phone and how my name is correct, the order, how much I paid, and then he goes. Oh, I remember that order it was under Calvin. My order name was Karla. So then he goes back inside. Then comes back outside and tells me that they don't have my order. And I was like, can you guys just make it if I write it all down for you? I already paid for it. And he said I had to come in and get a refund with the manager in the morning or cancel the order on the app, I let him know we can't cancel things in the app. I Tell him the order says it's already completed. And tells him on my end it says you guys completed the order already. And then I tell him how I have never gotten a refund from jack-in-the-Box and if they could please just make my order because I know I won't get refunded for this and I used Apple Cash so I'm not sure how to report that and get my money back on the other end. So he goes yeah just come to the window. I pull up to the window and two people are staring at me and go. What do you want? I explained everything that just happened and he was like "oh you can't even come in the morning. The manager can't even do returns through the app. It's only if we get the tickets and you purchased it here." And I was like I get that. I don't want a refund if you guys could just make the food that would be great. And he goes. " well we didn't get the money so we're not going to make the food." And I explained to him that I did pay and it did take my money and if they could just make the junior cheeseburger meal that I ordered, that would be awesome. He tells me that they refuse to make it. I can't get a refund even if I come in. And there's nothing they can do. I was like "he told me if I came to he window you guys could make it" and he says "I don't know who told you that but we can't" and I'm like dude the guy who told me is hiding behind you. A very, very bad shopping experience. Just this Monday, I was in a hurry to go to an appointment, so I bought the food and left. On the way, I saw that the hamburger should be returned by someone else. The meat inside was cold and hard, and the leaves had changed color. The fries were also cold, because I saw the Spanish-speaking male waiter pour the fries in one of the three bags on the counter back into the fries basket. So I suspect that my hamburger was also given to me from these bags, and I don't know how long it has been there. He only filled me with half a cup of vanilla shake. I don't know why the male waiter did this. Every time I buy this shake, it's a full cup, and he also gives me a wooden spoon and a thick straw. That day, the waiter didn't give me any. He didn't even give me all the food and told me I could leave. I found that he didn't give me the fries, so he gave me more. it was strange that the tacobell across the street from here which advertised open for latenight was close, but thankfully this jack in the box is open 24/7. i got 2 tacos ($1.47), and 10 pieces of chicken nuggets ($3 something), which was around 5 buc total. ton of food for very low price. the tacos filling was plain, I wasn't even sure if I was eating meat. it probably one those meat that soaked in ton of liquid to increase their volume, while losing ton of flavor in the process that I be seeing on one of those insider shows on netflix or youtube. yuck!! now that i think about it. the chicken nuggets tasted fine, nothing special about it. it did tasted great with the spicy buffalo sauce. definitely will stay away from their tacos next times, may be go for a burger or something. read more

ATTENTION MANAGERS/OWNERS This is ridiculous guys. I don't know what's going on about tonight if the employees are high or drunk but they need to get tested or reviewed on camera. It was a bunch of young girls working I seen asian and black and i don't know who else was in there. I got to jack in the box at 9:15pm got to order around 9:18pm got to the window and she swiped my card at 9:21pm. Here's the part where I knew something funny is going on cause I ordered simple things. -Number 7 bacon ultimate cheese burger medium. When I got it the order it was a small fries and drink. -2 potato cheese wedges. When I got it the fries are still cold and cheese barely melted -2 jalapeño poppers 7piece. This is an useless yet necessary review. Hangovers are a part of life. Dealing with them is a touch and go situation--I found myself parked in front of a Pho restaurant that just closed. Foiled and desperate, i made my way to round table pizza for an endless salad bar visit that didn't exactly work for my situation. I then loaded my loathsome self back to my vehicle with $15 less dollars. Then I made a second critical mistake--I've given up on the Webster St Taco Bell because, well, it's terrible beyond reproach. So I thought--cheap taco, I need ya, I want ya, but where am I gonna find ya? Two moving violations later I'm in the Jack in the Box drive thru, $1.59 for two tacos. And for good measure I'll chase it with the $2 chicken sandwich. I get home go straight to my kitchen to unbox my ultra strategic purchases only to reveal an abomination; a cavalcade of errors. The taco was hard. You couldn't open it. There was a grease stain that tainted the shell with a shine that was foreign. Surgery was necessary to prepare the taco for its sauce. I'm pot-committed at this point. To their credit, unlike Taco Bell they provide two sauces per taco. Stand up move considering they're even calling this thing a taco. I take a bite and instantly hate myself, what have I done? I'm staring into my pantry--soup, beans, Mac n cheese. Yet here I am holding this taco with a bite out of it. I set it down and rethink what is happening here. I remove the second taco. Looks worst than the first. Now overridden with guilt I unwrap the chicken sandwich only to see a culinary nightmare that makes Blackhawk Middle School's lunch look like Gary Danko.
