Horrible customer service. I waited at the counter over 10 minutes waiting for someone to take my order. The first person said they would be right with me then never came back. The second person that came up asked if I was there to pick up a door dash order and I said no and that I was waiting for someone to take my order. He then left. A third person finally came up and took my order. I waited 15 minutes for my order and finally went to the counter to ask about it. About 5 minutes later someone finally comes to the counter. He found my order in a drive through bag on the back counter. I open the bag and the jumbo jack had no pickles, no tomatoes,no onion. Just a beef patty, piece of lettuce and mayo. Yuck. We used to love Jack in the Box but recently the food has been horrible. The Fish Sandwich is gross. It's a small square frozen fish "stick" that tastes horrible. In all the years I've been going to Jack in the Box all over WA State and order "curly fries"... I rarely get actual curly fries. For some reason I always get ends and fries that don't have any actual curl to them. On the rare occasion there is a curly fry in my order it's a death match between my wife and kids as to who gets it. I have had issues with this Jack in the box over the years . Bad service and messed up orders. But my daughter likes some of the items on the menu for late night movie snacks. Last night I stopped in to pick up a few things for the girls and ordered their big bucket of spicy popcorn chicken. With other stuff off the menu. What I got was a box not a bucket. When asking the kid at the window I was told that it comes in a box not a small bucket that is on their menu. When I dropped off the stuff to my daughter and her friends. I was informed that the box was full of cold French fries and overcooked chicken that was so hard that they could not be eaten. When trying to call the Ellensburg Jack in the box. You get a busy signal to a number that goes to someplace in Starbuck Washington. And the kid at the window lied to me about my order. The food is bad . Yeah, I know, fast food - but hear me out... I hadn't had Jack in the Box for oh...five years now? This is due to two main reasons: 1. There are no Jack in the Boxes where we live 2. We don't eat much fast food However, on our journey from Seattle to Pullman, we took a pitstop in Ellensburg, for a short break off the road, and with hubs being from Iowa, he had never been...and this particular location looked pretty new (AKA clean) so we pulled over. I had the standard, JR Bacon cheeseburger. $1 - can't be beat. Hubs got a bigger burger (Jumbo Jack with Cheese) and then we shared an Iced Coffee...can you believe it? Iced Coffee at Jack in the Box...who woulda thunk it? It wasn't bad either. read more

I actually really like Jack in the Box -- especially the one in Ellensburg across the street from Pizza Hut. The best thing to order is just a lot of tacos. These are probably the best non-authentic tacos you can find... Literally anywhere... And they taste amazing. Do yourself a favor and know what you want by the time you get to the drive thru! WOW! My husband and I were traveling home and still had another 3 hour drive and needed food. Had a truck and 31 foot trailer so we couldn't pull through the drive through obvious and it was 1:30AM so the dining area was closed. The guy wouldn't let me order, told me I could unhook my trailer and pull through but other than that he couldn't help me.... I am appalled if this is the actual case and managers wouldn't let them help customers like myself who can't physically pull through their drive through....SERIOUSLY BS!! read more

Been here a handful of times since moving to Ellensburg in September. Never had an issue with my order, always made fairly quickly. Today I had a receipt coupon for buy one get one free jumbo jack. Took a few minutes for someone to come to the counter to help me since they were busy with people at the drive through (approx 9pm) and once that was taken care of the employee that took my order was very competent and had an amazing personality. They placed my order very easily and we even had a great short conversation and laugh too. Probably the best employee-customer interaction I've had at pretty much any restaurant I've been to in awhile. Will come here again just to experience the great customer service again. For a fast food joint this place is probably a bit better than most. Definitely outdoes McDonald's and Burger King. I'd say it is a decent option for those times when you just need something quick. We got 2 kids meals which give you the option of apples with the burger. The apples came with a caramel dipping sauce which the kids loved. They gave us several honey mustards and bbq dipping sauces when we asked, unlike the places that charge you extra for sauce. This was our first experience at a Jack-in-the-Box and was definitely on the positive side. I'd give it another shot for sure. read more
