Love Jack in the Box. But I must say this Kapahulu location is the worst service out of the many locations I've gone from Kaimuki, South King, North King, to Kapolei. This is a fast food restaurant. I've waited 10 minutes for my 2 tacos $1.19 and Chicken sandwich $1.59 (DEAL). I had to leave to pick up a friend. Told them I'd be back. Luckily they remembered me. Finally got my meal. The manager felt so bad that she gave me free curly fries. Should of asked for regular. Just joking!!! All I can say is the drive through seems to be their distraction. Meaning the 3 including myself standing inside were blended into the fixtures. I'd would of at least thought they would acknowledge repeatedly "so sorry, your order is coming right up". I feel for them. In other words, they work hard but they also seriously need training on the management of the overall flow of traffic inside counter and drive thru window. read more

Tonight June 23 2018 i went thru the drive thru thinking i was getting a sourdough chicken sandwich ended up with a sourdough jack also ordered a jr. Bacon cheeseburger ends up being in the right wrapper but with no bacon. Not to mention took me over at least two minutes repeating my order to actually not saying the name of the order i wanted but the number on the menu so i ordered a number 11 , jr. Bacon cheeseburger, chicken sandwich and a sprite i pull to the window look in the paper bag look at the wrappers its what i ordered so i head home open the boxes the burgers aren't correct. I look in the bag for the receipt guess what its not there or taped to the side of the bag or anything ... i was looking forward to eating the right sandwich but got let down read more

Cant get this food in Illinois. Tacos! Thats all i care about...so bad they are good kind of tacos. You will feel a sensation of satisfactory regret when you eat your 8th taco (they are cheap...plus fried). Went to drive thru for lunch. Ordered the sourdough jack combo with curly fries both were not hot and a spicy chicken sandwich that was over cooked and not hot. They charge 24 cents for buttermilk now. This used to be my go to place after surfing, I will have to find another lunch place. read more

Ordered an all American ribeye burger from drive-thru and got my orders from the time I ordered drove up to the pick-up windows in less than 3 min., too fast even for fast food restaurant! I live about 5 min. away and was disappointed to see the burger when I got home! This place sucks. The manager is rude, the employees have an attitude, the bathroom is constantly trashed, the dine in room is filthy, and the fountain soda machine spits out junk. This place can't be trusted for food safety. Second JIB in less then a week that I visited in which returned food was placed back in the warmer instead of thrown out. At this JIB - Kapahulu, the manager (women in a red JIB shirt) put the returned food on the warmer, instead of throwing it away. She should know better and practice food safety. The other JIB that put food returned by a customer back in the food warmer is located on King and Pi`ikoi Streets. I sent a complaint to JIB customer service to inform them that it happened again. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a fast food restaurant. I came to only order a mango smoothie at 11pm on Friday night. The inside dining was already locked so I had to wait behind 5 cars in the drive thru. The staff was so slow I was in line for 20 minutes before reaching the window. When I got to the window they handed me a strawberry smoothie instead of the mango one I had ordered. I had to wait for them to re make the correct one. Worst jack in the box on the Island of Oahu. They did not have all the ingredients to make my sandwich. I had to re-order an new one. The fries were dark brown like there cooking them in old oil. The soda machine drinks taste like flavored water not soda. The restroom is always occupied by homeless people in the area. So paying customers cannot use the rest room. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service and terrible food quality. I have been coming to this jack in the box for many years and there was once a time when the ultimate cheeseburger was ultimate and the bacon cheddar potato wedges were delicious. It has TOTALLY gone down hill not to mention completely overridden by rude condescending micronesians with horrible customer service. I am not a racist in fact I think many micronesians are friendly and I like quite a few of them but the girl "Daileen" who was in charge the night before was incompetent and rude and totally unsuited for a customer service position. She made my bacon cheddar potato wedges with nacho cheese instead of cheddar....after I ate a few I decided it was unacceptable and when I kindly, calmly and respectfully asked to get an EXCHANGE with properly made wedges (not even a refund!!) she got defensive, rude, and accusingly LECTURED ME that I shouldnt have eaten them if I wanted an exhange!! Imagine someone else totally screwing up then making YOU the one to blame!! I felt like she was persecuting me as if I was trying to get free food!!! This is NOT the way I expect to be treated as a paying customer especially considering the good faith I just demonstrated by INSISTING she take my money when I first paid because she thought I had already paid and kept pushing the money away!! I went out of my way to be honest and this is the result?!? Worst of all was that the whole commotion drew the attention of an ice-head bully in some beat up blue truck with a rack (after all it was midnight in Kapahulu) who thought I was harassing the "poor girls" and actually came into the store to bully me around thinking he was the "hero". For the love of God mind your own business!! All I wanted was my god damn potato wedges!!!!!!! And I sure as hell don't want to go to jail just to teach some overaged punk a lesson!!!! I am in the process of filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau as well as the owner of the franchise as well as filing a restraining order with the police against the ice-head. If I could I would give them 0 Stars. About 10 minutes ago I went to Jack In The Box for a little snack. I got to the window and could barely see the screen because 1, the lights were out in the menu and also my car is really short and my other half is always driving close to the drive-thru menu. I can never see the short menus in this short car when I am in the passenger seat. I wanted to order the Jack's Munchie Meal and when I asked what the drink options are...the person said "It's on the menu" (in a rude manner). I tried to yell from across the passenger seat that I cannot seat and I still received bad customer service. So i said forget it and left. I had a long day and did not have the patience for incompetent fast food workers. What if it was a person with bad eye sight? WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PARTICULAR LOCATION EVER AGAIN! Better yet...go to McDonalds! The person speaking in the drive-thru microphone should be fired! Thanks for nothing Jack In The Box. I find it hilarious when people write reviews about fast food places expecting something different in the food. Seriously, come on, are you expecting to have a steak and lobster at these places? I haven't gone to a major fast food place that the food tasted different. I have, however, had differences in service. I felt it would be nice to write a review about the Kapahulu Jack in a Box Morning crew since I tend to get unusually great service here. I have been coming here for breakfast/lunch every Sunday for a couple of years. Not very often I am greeted with a big welcoming smile at a fast food chain and this place does it. There has been many different servers and they all do it. Amazing. I've worked at McDonald's and with all the stress of making good time and stupid customers, I didn't feel like giving a welcoming smile they they do here all the time. The workers are helpful and try their best to make good time. Yes, sometimes my order does take a while but I know Drive thru takes top priority but they usually finish my order in timely fashion. There rarely have made a mistake on an order and are always helpful to fix it if there is a mistake. The workers are always cleaning the tables and emptying the trash, even clearing the table for my family. My Grandmother is 97 years old and my Aunt is special needs and this place has always been accommodating to them. The restrooms are easy access for them and are usually decently clean. My Mom was a stickler on this so if it was dirty we wouldn't have come back. Jack food is Jack food. I'm not writing this review for that reason. Overall I have a very pleasant experience every time I come here in the mornings. read more

POOR ASS CUSTOMER SERVICE. i ordered a munchie meal which comes default with halfsie fries. (i've ordered this multiple times) i ALWAYS ask to get curly fries with no problem in upgrading and allowing me to pay for it. this rude ass drive through agent told me NO. flat no i cannot have it cuz if only comes with half fries half curly fries. i politely told her k can i upgrade to curly fries. I like this Kapahulu Jack In The Box. Before, they had a window/manager employee named Ella and she was awesome, when she tended the window, there was no such thing as a long line backed up to the road, she kept everything rolling like a pro. Then, after many years, Ella left or something, whenever we asked no one would answer us except to say, "yea, she doesn't work here anymore". That was the end to great, efficient service. But, the food here is still good when comparing to fast food joints. I always have the cheeseburger or the jumbo jack with cheese or a breakfast item and always a side of tacos and iced mocha coffee, which is every bit as good as any "coffee shop". The hub use to get the fish sandwich but they canceled it and so he just orders tacos and breakfast foods. We have, collectively tried almost everything on the menu, including the new items as they are introduced, but going back to the simple jumbo jack and tacos, breakfast foods, plus the coffees are always proven winners. And, when I need a small sweet, the chocolate cake hits the spot. read more
