I hate Jack in the Box. Every order I have ever placed, they have managed to "Jack" every one of them up! I just don't understand. Whether it's missing items from the bag, giving me completely wrong orders, or giving me an attitude for being there, they never seem to fail. I always tell myself I will never return, so do yourself a favor and go elsewhere or starve. Hubby placed an order for TWO ORDERS of tacos, which in JITB terms means FOUR tacos, large curly fries, chicken strips and a large diet coke. Call me crazy, but I don't think it's very difficult to work at Jack-in-the-Box. Gone there three times as for the same thinf and they still managed to give me something else I don't ask for. I have never been to Jack in the Box before. Not even the one near UCI, when I was a student there. But wow, I am impressed. Fries - yum. Vanilla & chocolate shake - yum. Crispy Chicken Sandwich - yum. Now I need to recreate this. Give me your recipe pleaze. It's a bit difficult finding this location though. I drive down Sand Canyon for work every day, yet I miss it. I drive down the 5 freeway to the Spectrum, passing the huge Jack sign, and I still miss it. But now that I know where it is, I have a feeling I'll be coming here often. I decided to order an Egg roll at the window the cashier said if we could go around so we did we were waiting at the parking lot near the entrance and a girl from the inside made signals to go through the drive thru never thought that ordering something at window would be the worse experience.They made me go around the drive thru and 3 cars were in front of me !!!!! Nd waiting more then 5 mins to get my food I get to the window and No apoligies .. like if nun happened !ok u made me form line again!!!!Mc donalds does not do this !! Ok, I've been to this JITB location too many times. Mostly it's been for a breakunch of Crispy Chicken Pitas and a raspberry iced tea for me and a meaty burrito and french toast sticks for the man. The workers are nice, courteous and make the food as fast as possible. The *only* con is that it's right next to the 5 and sometimes they can't hear you at the order-taker in the drivethru. This jack in the box needs to change the people working. Its bad enough that people can only drive through and pick up their food, but to have incompetent people give the wrong food is really frustrating. We only ordered 5 items and the drive through crew cant even give us the correct burger. This establishment needs to get their act together or just close down, to save you the trouble just go to a different jack in the box or go to their competitor. read more

If you are reading this review, you're probably deciding where to go in this area for a quick lunch substitute before your next class at IVC. I have been in irvine for the past 4 years and nothing else has made me feel so full, satisfied, and imminent of cardiac arrest in the last 4 years. If you are like me, you have 3 options: IVC cafeteria, MC donalds, and jack in the box. And if you are like me, you know not to take the school cafeteria and that you have 2 options left within a 5 min drive, but only one of them does not take 30 min to find parking space in. That would be jack in the box. Customer service is absolutely horrendous, the cashier that was helping me didn't wash her hands after touching the money tray and bills and grabbed my drinking cups with her fingers inside where the drink goes. I asked her to please get me another pair of empty fountain drink cups because she had touched the inside of my cups with her dirty hand and she rolled her eyes, turned around and slammed the two new cups on the counter with HORRIBLE attitude. The only reason I come to this place is because it is the closest fast food location nearby. The service is pretty terrible. Drive thru? Slow. When you want food in the middle of the night ... The night manager is super sweet! She was juggling the cash register, cooking, taking drive thru orders, cleaning dining room ... she was fast and our food came out fast and hot and fresh off the grill. It's fast food. It's open past midnight. It serves its entire menu all day long. What else could you want? I try to come by here at least once a visit since I live where no Jack in the Box's can be found. The food is always hot and fresh. Workers are very friendly, but we had a hard time understanding the options in the Jacks late night Munchie meal. We had to pull up go the window to look at the pictures. My husband is a long distance truck driver and after a long day of driving he came to this Jack n the box because it was the only place he could park his big rig truck near, and being that the inside dining area was closed, he walked up to the drive through window )with his mask on) and tried to place an order for some food, and the woman at the window flat out refused him service because he was not in a car, and was extremely extremely rude. He explained to her that he is a truck driver and that His truck would nor fit in the drive through ans that he would be so grateful for the service and she slammed the window closed and locked it. We were coming back from a long road trip down back to SD and decided to stop, what can I say everybody was so nice the short Asian lady at the register super sweet. The manager I believe it was a young man with long blonde hair very nice. We decided to sit and dine in even though the restaurant was already closing we weren't aware. The manager locked the doors, then a couple of workers pulling a trailer came to the restaurant door and the manager quickly opened the door for them since they couldn't go through the drive through. I thought that was awesome because young or old people just don't want to go the extra mile just to make their job easier. On our way out the manager even popped his head out to say thank you and good night! THANK YOU!! For this excellent experience at a fast food restaurant. read more

I had the misfortune of being served by a new guy, so he fumbled around quite a bit and he didn't talk very loud over the music. Anyway, this location is in "Historic Old Town Irvine". The road has recently been renovated to permit the railroad to go over a bridge so it is much easier to come here than before but there is still some construction around the area so it's hard to get in and out of the road. There's not a lot of parking in this parking lot, but there also aren't a lot of customer inside (although during the weekend, the traffic seems to increase). There were no problem with the food and it came out quickly despite all of the other customers. It's a little hotter in temperature here than the branch on Irvine Blvd. Best to be buying a soda. read more

This is how I know I'm fat: I've been here a handful of times but have never even set my little pinky toe inside. It's so convenient for me when I'm coming home from work and my tummy is angry at me for skipping the oft-neglected middle meal of the day. Since I'm so familiar with the drive-thru, I must say it's very well kept. The greenery make it a pleasant experience. Also, they have the nice screen and the person at the window asks you to confirm if they've screwed up or not. The food I've gotten is always fresh out of the fryer. On this trip I ordered the Sirloin Sliders meal and 5-piece mini Churros. Man, were the sliders tasty! Meaty, juicy and the buns were as bubbly as J-Lo's! JIB could add some vegetables to it, though, so I don't feel too much like a lard arse. And the Churros... Completely sent from the bad cholesterol-inducing heavens. So crispy, oily and sweet. The size of the meal looks tiny, but man, it totally tips the scales! The smaller portions are just a psychological trick I play on myself to make me believe I'm eating less, when I know I'm not. read more

Food is okay. What gets me, I often drive-thru to get a soda. 1 in 4 visits they get it wrong. If I forget to check, I have to throw the whole large soda away so the sugar doesn't put me in diabetic shock. They've probably stolen more than $50 in bum-sodas this year. I went to this Jack in the Box drive-tru at 11 pm last night. I had to repeat my order 4 times to the person working there. he kept getting confused. I think he was high. I get to the window and half my order is ready in 8 minutes. Then they have me pull to the front and wait. Keep in mind I an the only person at the restaurant. I waited out front for 15 min and then started banging on the door to get my 2 food items. I got my food and the employee was laughing as he gave it too me. I recently discovered their tacos which I believe are delicious. Crunchy and yummy and two for $1! I went drive through and the man in the window was super nice and friendly. He gave me exactly enough hot sauce for my tacos which is cool. I got 4 tacos and at them all within 25minutes so I either just had a great day or I have an eating problem. Either way I'm satisfied. And their raspberry tea is delicious because it's not too sweet and I can actually taste the tea. read more

I love Jack in the Box. I can never turn down a burger with cheese. Their sandwiches have always been a good balance of protein and toppings. Shakes are thick and delicious. And the service at this location is fantastic. The employees are easily the best in the fast food segment. Every time I visit this location I am absolutely blown away with the way they executive their job. The tone, attitude, and delivery is perfect. I have been in the industry for 10+ years.
