Against my better judgement, I went out for a midnight burger run this past Friday night. Only thing one at that hour was Jack in the Box. The Jack on S Broadway had 12 cars in line ahead of me at the drive-thru so I went to the Orcutt Jack instead since it was on my way home anyway. Huge mistake! Ordered 2 combos, the Quad Bonus Jack combo and the Deluxe Fish Sandwich combo. Both sandwiches were disgusting and basically inedible. Neither was made to order as requested and both tasted like they'd been in the trash for days. The curly fries were lukewarm and overcooked, stale and I essentially threw away over $14 on the worst meal I've ever received from that location, most of which went in the garbage can. Not to mention, when I got to the window to pay, I only received one of the two as a combo and the quad they said I ordered by itself, which I didn't. Not sure what happened to the place after their big remodel, but I guarantee you, I will never go there again. Not ever. The store on S. Broadway is far superior in every way. Terrible customer service Stood in the lobby at the counter ten minutes before we left without being served. The lady in front of us had the guts to say "EXCUSE ME!!" multiple times until someone poked their head out of the back. Instead of seeing the situation and apologizing for the delay, they made up some excuse about how they're following some policy. Can only guess that when they are short handed, they have to serve the drive through first?!? And the dining area is FILTHY. Food, ketchup, dirty trays, used napkins all over the tables, floor, even the chairs. And they left the little number placards on several tables, so at first you think there's no where to sit between the 'taken' tables and the dirty tables. read more

Terrible service waited 20 minutes to never order. Then walk in same service stand around waiting. Nothing call to complain and Jack in the Box sends you to the website. Terrible fast food chain. Lacks competence! read more

One star is too much of a rating. More like zero. Waited more than 30 minutes before even being acknowledged. Part of my order was 16 tacos and they were the most dry and meatless tacos I've ever gotten from jacks. I'd rather drive into a Santa Maria Jack in the Box instead. Worst service ever. First off they don't do two separate orders through the drive thru. Does not confirm order and seems to rush you. Once I approached the window he looked unprofessional with stickers posted all over his back as if they were playing with the sticker gun. Atrocious. You would be wise to avoid this Jack in the Box. Ordered a Chicken Fajita Meal via the drive through. It came WITHOUT any chicken. They might as well sell hamburgers without the patties. Half way to the next town so I called them to say I would be back that evening for a refund. Upon my return they had not communicated from the previous shift and refused. We had to make a quick stop and went inside to order a small snack. When we walked in, there was a worker sitting on top of the counter. That was very unprofessional and not sanitary. It looked as if all the workers were teenagers who didn't care too much about their job. There were 2 workers who were just loud for no reason. I give this location a try every few months, hipster my maybe they've hired a staff that can actually make an order correctly. Sadly I am left disappointed every time. Terrible customer service. I asked to back up instead pull forward or around...why? The employee told me if was because food is going to take a little longer and it's easier on everyone if I backed up instead of pulling around and it really doesn't make a difference. Meanwhile there is someone at the ordering window and when I told her that someone was behind me her response was "I have paused him"... okay??? This location is probably the SLOWEST Jack in the Box in the entire region. I go there on my lunch break (as it is the only place within 5 miles of my job), and I have NEVER had to wait so long for my food. The record so far is 25 minutes for one sandwich, and I am the only customer. The other day, I was the only dine-in customer in the building, and the cashier said "one moment," and made me wait until he fully served off every customer in the drive thru before taking my order. He took 4 or 5 orders straight, including paying them off and handing off their food. I stood there and watched as he avoided serving me. I used to work in fast food, and you are supposed to take turns taking drive thru orders with dine in orders, to make it fair and balanced. I stood there waiting for almost 10 minutes to order. I finally left because I had to be back at work...on an empty stomach. UNACCEPTABLE. The employees and managers are between ages 16 and 19. They don't know how to run a restaurant. I will say that they are friendly and well mannered, but they dont know how to prioritize a work load. They need the help of an experienced adult manager. read more

One of the worst stores that they have. Most of the drive-thru customers have been told to pull around to the front, then they don't give you condiments that you asked for. Food is just OK, I've had much better food at their other local locations. Over cooked, and no cheese or sauce on the pita. read more
