The person who took our order was very pleasant, but she is the only thing about the visit that I can positively comment on. Our food was OK to poor, the iced tea undrinkable, and we had to wipe down a table to find a place to sit (we were the only dine-in customers there during our entire stay). That said, we knew early on that we would need to adjust our expectations to a lower level, but we did set them low enough. this location of Jack in the Box has been one of the busiest ones in the city, and has been that way for at least 20 years. I have had great service at this store for an incredibly long time and continue to patronize it. My favorite sandwich is the sourdough breakfast sandwich which is ham, egg, American and Swiss cheese, and let me tell you, the taste when these items are placed together is delicious! With all the good things to say about this location I do have to mention that late night seems to be when issues arise, I think it's due in part to management not being as strong as it is during the day shifts. We needed breakfast before going to the Missouri Botanical Garden. This place was in the surrounding area. I had the Denver Breakfast Bowl which came with scrambled egg, hash brown, ham, and cheese. By far the worst experience I've ever had at any fast food establishment. Stopped by here on the way home after a night out with some friends and was very disappointed in the service. Firstly, as we pulled up to the drive through the encounter began with two different staff members trying to yell over each other to us during the greeting. Then throughout the entire ordering process we were interrupted multiple times, berated for not knowing what items on the menu they didn't have available at that specific location (my personal favorite being when we were told by the male staff member that they didn't have an item on the late night menu and being told we should've been listening when he mentioned that earlier, when all 5 parties in the car could attest that he never mentioned that, then having him catch an attitude and begin arguing with us over the fact), and having our order misinterpreted even after multiple corrections. Initially we thought this experience to be unique to us and gave the employees the benefit of the doubt and assumed perhaps we unintentionally said something offensive in the beginning of the visit. But to round out the entire experience, as we pull up to the window to pay for our food and hopefully leave, we see the person in the car in front of us begin arguing with the employees through the window; the argument got so bad that the patron actually got out of his car and began shouting at the employees, to which his complaints were returned with very obscene language and threats. All that to say, avoid this Jack in the Box unless you enjoy being unnecessarily berated by staff. Drive about 5 minute south to the Taco Bell on grand or 5 minutes east to the McDonalds on Jefferson and you'll get the same quality food with less attitude. read more
