If I could give this location a 0 star I would. But unfortunately I have to rate it with a 1 star. This place is so understaffed it's crazy. And not only are they understaffed they have the RUDEST employees. Long story short I got called a BITCH for asking for a cupholder by the window clerk. Won't say names cause she knows who she is. Mind you I had 4 drinks and only 2 hands by myself in the car. She slammed the window on me multiple times and basically threw my card back at me after i paid. Rolled her eyes after she handed me my food and said "thats it" but i still had drinks she forgot about. I stop here fairly often and mostly it's so-so. Today I stopped and the window person reads this little speech saying that the card reader is down and they have no change of any kind. All the while sounding like the giggles are ready to start. Card readers go down but if this one rarely works replace it. Okay, first a little history: I had not eaten at a Jack-in-the-Box since the 1993 e. Coli outbreak, even when I lived in Sunland about a block and a half from this place, that I would pass daily on the way to and from work. As more personal history, I also must say that The Jack was my regular and weekly go-to place as a teenager when out cruising or on the way home from the bar at 1 AM later in life. I guess the food tasted better after a few beers. Anyway, I felt that my moratorium could end after 25+ years when I got a coupon in the mail for the Ultimate Cheeseburger. Last week I cruised into this Jack for lunch. The service was friendly and efficient and I received my food quickly in spite of ordering the burger without ketchup. Overall it was disappointing: the food was just average and the burger for being called "Ultimate" was anything but. Jack still flat griddles the meat patty so not good to start with, Unlike some other burgers on their menu, it did not come with pickle, lettuce, onion or tomato. It was just a basic cheeseburger, the type you order for your picky kid because they don't like all the condiments and veggies on the burger. Jack burgers of my youth always had chopped onions in them which set them apart from many fast food burgers and was always a favorite, however not a speck of onion was on this burger. That alone might have made a difference. Bottom line they need to change the name to "Basic Cheeseburger" or fix it up to earn the title, "Ultimate". "Ultimate" also means "the last" and this will be the "Ultimate" burger I order from Jack-in-the-Box. Also in spite of having a coupon, this was a pricey meal. For the same price, a Habit grilled burger combo would be a more flavorful meal. Good news was that the fries came completely peeled, were hot and fresh, and the brewed iced tea was flavorful. I might return, but it could take another 25 years before I hit all the other possible burger places, which should give Jack time to fix this burger. read more

Food servers should not be working if they have a nasty attitude when serving. Went through the drive through today about 11:45am because the dining room was closed (don't know why it was closed, just that it was). The young lady was so rude and just an all around bad attitude. I noticed even from the menu board. I hadn't even driven to the window and I could already tell in her voice. Because of her, I will try to avoid this restaurant. She also did not give me a receipt so I don't know her name or an exact time I went through. Please train your servers to be a little more polite even if they have to fake it. read more

There is a picture of Jack hanging in the dinning room. That picture says it all. He just came to visit and is very disappointed at what he saw. The bathrooms we're dirty and had a horrible odor. There were no clean tables and we watch 3 young kids playing with the soda machine and making a huge mess by filling up their water bottles with soda and pouring them out over and over. I am surprised by the negative reviews I've read. I normally go there twice a week on my way to work around 5ish in the morning and have been doing it for 2 years at least and I have not had any major issues at at all, yes there has been some times where I was informed that they only accepted cash only but that has happened maybe 3 times. And each time the employee seem genuinely apologetic about it. The staff has acted properly and I have not had a negative interaction with them at all. I am not sure if 5 am is the late shift or the morning shift but which ever one it is they have acted properly with me. read more

Got their sourdough this time with curly fries which was made fresh and can't complain about their customer service. Service was really prompt and staff were nice, helpful, and happy.
