Hands down, the best street tacos / Mexican food in town. Try it once and you are hooked! Great selection and service.

I've been to a few of the locations now, but this was my first time visiting this location. Gotta admire the consistency of these spots....delicious seasoned meats, fresh DIY salsa and toppings bar, and fresh handmade corn tortillas. I got two al pastor tacos and added my usual toppings, salsa, and limes. Very tasty and it hit the spot. Some of the other locations could get hectic, but I'm not sure if it was because I was here on a weekday or I wasn't there at their dinner rush, but there was a pretty chill vibe around this spot the night I went. The line was short and I got through ordering and picking up my food much faster than in my previous experiences with the other locations. Parking was very easy...although I'm not sure if I was supposed to park in the retail lot that the stand is located. Just be respectful and don't leave a mess. And if you can throw your trash in the bins that they set up so you're not contributing to the other tenant/ land lord complaints. read more

Their usual hours are: Tue-Sun: 4:30pm - Midnight. Love the handmade corn tortillas made to order. Even better are the charcoal grilled meats. The Carne Asada is good. The Al Pastor on the vertical rotisserie is delicious! It's a "messy plate" as they generously pile on the meats and salsas- get extra napkins! This location here is on Foothill Blvd in the Tujunga - La Cresenta area; in front of PetSmart. No crazy lines here like the EagleRock/Glassell Park stand, but it does get freezing cold up here in the highlands... bring a jacket/sweater and CASH! read more

It used to be one of my favorite spots however the quality of the meat has been bad the past two times.

Hands down the best carne asada I've had in years. I normally get Asada Vampiro Asada quesadilla made with fresh masa. Absolute thee best From the cooks to the check out, the service is always great and consistent Location is not too far from in n out. Love this place. I usually go to the one in Glassell Park, but am happy they have a location on Foothill. Portions are still generous. I finally got to try their potato and it was humongous! It's definitely enough for 2-3 people, depending on how hungry you are or if you bought other things. Give this place a try.. they're food is good and workers a friendly! read more

I ordered al pastor tacos and a carne asada burrito and there was literally a sharp large piece of plastic in my tacos, and I ended up chewing on it and hurting my mouth. If I swallowed it without knowing, I would be in the hospital for this hazardous piece of plastic potentially ripping through my stomach. This is absolutely unacceptable. Current favorite chain of pop up taco spots. I think in particular it's what they do with the queso tacos or the keto taco that make this place tops for my LA street tacos cravings, or any tacos for that matter. They queso tacos grill the cheese and the keto taco is made with a grilled cheese shell, so while low carb and counting for keto, does pack the calories, but is so good in its own right even on non-diets. This place gets all the street taco stuff right: Fresh pressed tortillas. Multiple salsas. A bunch of fixings including grilled jalapeño, cucumbers, cilantro, etc. on the side table. Spit grilled Al-pastor with pineapple on top they'll cut bits off of for your tacos. Just delicious out and out. There is a reason this it has caught on with so many locations in greater LA. I've been to four different locations and all of them hold up. I will say, there are a handful of places among the thousands of taco spots in LA that may lay claim to being superior to Angel's when it comes to specific types of taco meats, and they don't offer the wider variety at some spots that offer Cabeza, goat, etc., but when it comes to their all around score and the way they nail their pastor queso tacos, it gets top marks. Most of their various meats (and menu items) would easily finish top 10 out of 100+ taco places I've eaten at in LA, so while there's a place off the 10 that I'd say edges them out for carne asada, when you consider everything Angel's has to offer, quality of tortillas and the queso avocado tacos in particular, they've got the top spot. read more

I love how Angel's Tijuana Tacos are expanding into so many new areas! After only going to the location by Eagle Rock, I tried the one in Tujunga. The workers are super nice, but do not speak English (which is totally fine), but just a heads up in case you don't speak any Spanish. Their Angel's potatoes and Al Pastor tacos are probably the most popular items on their menu and I highly recommend you try them out. The potatoes are LOADED with al pastor meat and you can probably share it with 1 or 2 other people. The al pastor tacos were also loaded with meat then topped with pineapples, and their signature sauces. They have three types of sauces, 1 green, 1 red, and another avocado(?) style salsa. I decided to get the avo and red sauce. I would suggest getting a ques-taco (taco with melted cheese) because it creates a barrier between the tortilla and the meat. I decided not to get the cheese and it definitely made my taco suuuper soggy and it all broke apart before I could eat it. Their tortillas are fresh and handmade, and it is super delicious! Side note: This location is located on the sidewalk in front of Petsmart and there is a ton of parking by the petsmart parking lot. Also, opt to eat it on your trunk rather than to go especially if you get the tacos because the tortillas will definitely get soggy read more

Ooohhhhh weee, what a treat! Happy to see TJ style tacos for a change. The taco stand is set up on the sidewalk in front of the PetSmart. Cash or Venmo only. Homemade, freshly pressed tortillas pressed in front of you while you order, an XL Al pastor spit (always with the pineapple), and all the fixins. Angel's is my go-to taco joint. They expanded over the years so they have multiple spots but I usually come to this spot since it's the closest one from where I live. I love how they make their own tortillas. You can really taste the difference. I highly recommend if you want to get your taco fix! read more

Loved this place at the Sunset Ave location in LA. Same quality and quantity. Was happy to see they were at the Sunland/LA Crescenta area. Surprised to see them open even during heavy rainfall and wind. Prices still very reasonably even with the high cost of living and goods. Got 4 asada tacos and 3 al pastor tacos. All tacos were fully loaded. The homeade tortillas were slightly thinner. The drive home was about 30 minutes. Maybe the steam in the plate might have made them breakdown more. The Angel's potato is for anyone who loves the idea of having a giant mound of meat with melty cheese loaded on top of an open-faced baked potato. You can get the usual toppings like onions & cilantro, salsa, etc., to add flavor according to your preference. Definitely would like to go back again for the Al pastor burrito with the occasional warm pineapple chunks. So good with their red salsa! I've driven past this place several times. Never could quite get myself to try something on the side of the road like this. But my dog was still in Petsmart getting a cut. And so for the first time I took a closer look. And I saw all these happy people eating their food around it, and it smelled really good. Have tried this spot various times at various locations, it's not bad but definitely don't believe the hype. There's a spot a little bit more up right by Smart & Final that's definitely better. 1. The staff ain't the most friendly 2. Yesterday I got a pastor burrito, worker scooped up all the chunky ass bits that were cut off at the bottom of the spit, didn't enjoy the burrito at all 3. Best taco stand in the area. These are TJ style so they are cooked over mesquite that's why the other review tasted smoke...ur supposed to! The pastor is better than other taco vendors in the area.
