Did I really just wait in a 40 minute drive through line to receive cold fries that had clearly been sitting there for hours?? I've been going to this Jack in the Box for over ten years and every few years I have to give the place a break until they have a new crew cycle through. My first job was in fast food so I am by no means an elitist. This morning I order a breakfast combo with a large black iced coffee for the drink. The guy repeats back "with a large black coffee", I correct him. He then asks "with a large iced coffee, what flavor?". I say "black", he then tells me they don't serve black iced coffee. I ask, "can't you just fill a coffee cup with ice and add coffee?" His response."No, because it's hot." Really? So instead of debating the thermodynamics of pouring hot coffee over ice in an insulated cup I just left. I was so thankful that you can just drive out of that drive-thru and not be stuck in it. I'm not the fondest of this Jack in the Box, but I have to say that they have cleaned up the inside quite a bit over time. The people working there dont really seem to care about doing things accurately, but then I hate to say it, what jack in the box worker does...? (I'm not trying to be mean here, I'm just sayin...) I ordered a fajita pita, which is usually my fav thing to get at Jack, with curly fries and two tacos. They gave me regular fries rather than curly fries. Why, oh why?! Curly fries are so much better!! Whatever the case, I had my fajita pita which was great as usual, my fries were good and the best for last... my oily, greasy, deep fried tacos!!! Yum!!! These tacos take me back to when I was 20 and I would be at the studio practicing and go to Jack afterwards at 2am and down 6 of these and a spicy Jack. I seriously love their tacos. I dont know what it is, and I know they are totally unhealthy, but man they taste sooo good!! Out of all the fast food places, Jack in the crack is one of the best in my eyes, but this location needs some TLC by management. This is the only review you need to read about this specific Jack in the Box. I've written 7 yelp reviews in the last decade, so when I write something here it's either love or hate. I've lived in Sunland since 2007, and this Jack in the Box is a couple blocks from my house. I gave them so many chances over the years, but today was their last, I'll never visit this location again. I've never gotten a good meal from this specific location, ever. It sounds hard to believe, considering it shouldn't be difficult to prepare fast-food, but it's the truth. Time would go by, I'd cool off/forget, and when the craving hit I'd give them another shot. It takes a lot to piss me off, but today I went to order and I told the guy on the drive thru speaker that I hadn't had great luck in the past with my orders. I told him that I wanted to wait for new fries and a hot burger since all my other meals purchased there were cold/stale. I was the only one in line, it wasn't busy, I wasn't an asshole about it, I drove up, paid for my order, and was given a bag of stale fries and a burger so cold the cheese wasn't melted on it. Unreal. Literally just plainly ignored everything I said and handed me a bag of shit. I get it, you don't like your job, but dude you're feeding people. Take a sliver of pride in it. The attitude I got after showing him the stale fries and cold burger lead me to ask for a refund instead of a remake. I asked if there was any contact info for the owner of that store given how many bad experiences I've had there, and the worker said no and provided no info. I thought I'd write on Yelp, because corporate might care, and might ding this particular store but who knows. No body cares, I'm an annoyed guy ranting about a cold burger on the internet :). Don't go here, I promise you, it will not end well. No accountability, no basic consideration, thought, or professionalism exists here. Quick Review: Your typical 24/7 Jack in the Box. Here's a tip! Make sure to ask for fresh fries to always get them hot and delicious! TLDR: Had a few messed up orders, but I just let their manager know next time, and got a free meal. Smart. That's why they got promoted! I too aspire to work at Jack in the Box flipping burgers. Sunland location - Some of the young workers there are a big fat joke and so is the service. The drive thru line tonight (late saturday) was so long it took over 30 mins to get my food. Cars were even leaving the drive thru behind me. On top of that, part of my order got screwed up. They gave me a plain spicy chicken sandwich instead of a regular one. It also looked like the poor drive thru guy was the only one working while other employees were just doing nothing and chit chatting. Not sure where management was at this time, probably was one of the incompetent ones too. No "sorry for the wait" or anything either. Not deserving of any stars- I drive through once in a while but EVERY TIME, I order iced tea with lemon. They don't provide lemon to their customers for tea. That's like not offering cream or sugar to a coffee customer. Again, today: "I'm sorry, we are out of lemon". Me: "You guys say that all they time...do you just"choose to not buy lemon"?
