Hands down the worst drive thru experience! I came here for a quick bite to eat and I was told to drive around the corner and wait for my food....waited nearly ten minutes just sitting there!! I love ordering their Jack Wraps, but this location isn't it. Every time I come here I am extremely disappointed with the wait time. There has not been a time where I haven't had to pull out front and wait at least 10-15 minutes. It's called "fast food" get it together. Left the cash register unmanned for 10 minutes. Had bagged some of my food and left it chillin while helping the drive through. Took 27 minutes from the time stamp on my receipt to getting my food. Another customer before me got about $16 too much in change and tried to give it back but Armando wouldn't take it. Had more change sitting in the counter near the cash register. The food was cold and two hash browns were burned. You could smell burned grease in them. Inedible. No management visible. Probably should close down this store and go into another business. Obviously food service is no longer something that you're good at. Too bad. This used to be a first class fast food joint. Now it's just a greasy spoon with poor service and poor quality food. On Friday, October 4th, 2024, at 5:52 PM, I went to Jack in the Box (Store 1571) located at 9530 E 22nd St, Tucson, AZ 85748. I ordered a Sourdough Jack and a Chocolate shake. When I pulled up to the window of the drive thru, I handed a young girl my card. She just left it on the counter and walked away, which I thought was odd. Then someone came to the window and handed me my sandwich. The manager came over and handed me back my card. I was still waiting on my shake, which was taking a really long time. Then a young man comes to the window and asks me to pull forward that there are other orders they need to get to. I said no. I am just waiting on a shake. (In my mind, if I had ordered a large order I would pull forward, but for a shake?) Then the manager came to the window and asked me to pull forward and I replied, either refund me the shake or get my shake. I am not pulling forward. She then yells out, where is the shake. Right away she hands me the shake. When I got home to eat my dinner, I noticed that the bread was so hard I had to tear it to just eat the middle section, and they left off the cheese. I only drank about ¼ of the shake and put the rest in the freezer. About 4 hours later I became extremely sick. Just started throwing up and had diarrhea. I have never in my live been this sick. I threw up for close to three hours everywhere. I was so sick I collapsed in my bathroom and just used the garbage can. When I did stop throwing up, I then started shaking uncontrollably. It was like a combo of shivers and seizure as I could not stop. Again, never in my life have I been this sick. I honestly did not know if I would make it to the morning. The next day, my throat was so soar from throwing up so much and my back ached as I believe I threw out a rib while getting sick. I posted on the Jack in the Box site about this incident but never heard back from anyone. I don't want to see this happen to anyone else and therefore I am sharing my horrific experience. I believe someone making my shake tampered with it and put something in it to cause food poisoning. BEWARE if you eat at Jack in the Box, they have a long history of problems with tainted food that dates back to 1992 with an E. Coli outbreak where people actually died. I don't know what would have happened had I drank the entire shake, just knowing that ¼ of it made me this sick. I will never eat there again. read more

This jack in the box has to be one of the worst I've ever been to. I've given them the benefit of the doubt numerous times but this time I will never go back. Ordered the new loaded steak and parm curly fries. First off, there were black marks rubbed inside the box (see picture), The "parm" sauce is just straight ranch, there were only Ab 2 pieces of steak & they were super chewy, and the box came half empty. The previous time I pulled up around 12:35 am all employees were outside in the parking lot talking, I pull through the drive thru & nobody's there? Very odd considering they're open 24/7. It's Jack in the Box so not very high expectations, I was out and hungry so this is where I ended up. Staff was nice, food was cold, it was edible. Didn't go in so can't speak to much else. Was quick (probably why it was cold)...not much else to say I guess 1 Star-   Total failure of an experience based on this experience would not return. Would not recommend. 2 Star-  Below average on several levels, not a total failure. Wouldn't seek out to return or recommend. 3 Star-  Average experience, minimum expectations met. Nothing that says wow or that stands out. Would return if someone else wanted to come, not a regular go to. 4 Star-  Above average experience, will come here again and recommend to friends and family. 5 Star-  This will be a regular go to and will be highly recommended to people I know. Jack in the Box is one of my top shelf favorite places to go when I've decided to inflict fast food upon myself. BUT. I created a Yelp account today just to talk about the poor, poor, shi**y service I received from the man working the window here on 5/21/16. Whilst in the process of ordering two, JUST TWO, value menu items, my girlfriend and I were told,"WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, just slow down. What size? What drink? Regular fries or curly?" Maybe we were speaking too fast? Sure. That's possible. In our minds, we weren't talking any quicker than at any other fast food window. And maybe he's new. That all makes sense. Fine. We get to the window and witness him sigh and shake his head every time the person behind us at window says anything trying to order their food. Maybe he's really struggling. Maybe he had a bad day. Dude, been there. You're good. We pay. We get our food. We realize as he's closing the window that we'd like some ranch. HE THROWS ONE BUTTERMILK SAUCE (RANCH) PACKEY INTO OUR STILL OPEN CAR WINDOW AND SLAMS HIS WINDOW SHUT. Really? Not cool. We drove off and eventually worked down our curly fries trying desperately not to over expend our one buttermilk sauce pack between us and, naturally, didn't enjoy ourselves. We'll probably go to the Five Guys acrossed the street next time we feel like burgers. read more

Wow, terrible! I know it's fast food, not gourmet dining, but there should still be standards. I was in a hurry and hadn't eaten so I decided order at the drive thru. I placed my order but when I received my order, not only was it the wrong order, but it was cold as well. (I should mention the guy working the window was a bit rude as well.) It almost seemed like somebody cancelled the order earlier in the day, but instead of throwing it away, they just gave it to me. Since I was in a hurry I couldn't turn around to complain and get it fixed. I spoke with the manager on the phone and she offered to give me a replacement meal, though nice, it's not good enough. Either I get my money back, or bust. I think I spent around $9.14 I guess I should thank Jack in the Box for keeping me healthier by keeping me away. If you are hungry and in a hurry, I'd recommend you go hungry the rest of the day rather than stop here. read more

I used to come here fairly often, but not very much any more. They first try to talk you into the latest promotional special....not what you came there for. Then you place your order, and you say "that's it". Then they ask you if you want some dessert or something. When you say "no, I said that was it" then the next question is "Are you sure you don't want to add a cheesecake to your order? It's only one dollar more." You then have to tell them no for a second time. You're still not done yet. After that they want you to donate to whatever cause they're raising money for. Their ordering process is complicated enough as it is.....why do they make it more difficult? Not to mention they'll try to sell you curly fries, since an upcharge is involved. My advice: go to Burger King. You can have it your way there. read more

I went at 9:30, was the only one there, and they still got my order wrong. They have a menu that you can order from 9pm to 5 am. This location closes at 10, and opens at 5am. So you have one hour to take part. The one time I order something off this menu and they don't sound confident, and they give you the wrong order when they're not even busy. The actual drive thru employee has always been nice no matter who it is. I stopped by after picking up my son from school, so it was around 315pm. I ordered 2 of the deli trip pannidos. Not only was there so very little sauce, half of both sandwiches had no pickles and the bread was broken in multiple places and cold. Cold not grilled and hot, cold, cracked and completely gross. I asked for extra sauce in 2 cups cause they never put enough on and unfortunately it is obvious they can't count to 2, as only one cup given. Well I am so happy we have upped minimum wage so are incompetent workers can still screw up such a simple process as a sandwich. To bad this review and others that are negative will never see a corporate person give a crap, to know what they have hired or the quality of food is sub par and wouldn't be worthy of feeding the coyotes, cause why make them suffer! I went to this location for lunch. My first impression was that for a fast food establishment that the location was well maintained but the customer service is horrendous! The crew member that assisted me was very rude and acted as if I was a bother rather than a paying customer. When she passed my drink it was dripping wet with the lid half way off. As I was trying to clean it and close the lid she attempted so pass me the straw and rather than offering to help me she took a deep impatient breath again as if I was such an inconvenience. *Note it wasn't busy* when my food was ready she didn't even make eye contact she just stuck her hand out of the window with the food and said have a good day. I've visited many a Jack in Box and this was by far my worst interaction. The location maybe nice but clearly there is an issue with the customer service. read more

Before I even get started, I just want to say I use to work for jack in the box about 3 years ago I know how the meals are prepped and made and would never write this review unless it was something that couldn't be left unsaid... It's about 11:30pm and I'm starving after a long shift at work, not many places are open and I know this place is on the way home so I figured I'd stop by pick something easy for them to make, and I'll be on my way. As I pull up I notice a young guy appears to be on his break, so assuming he's the one about to make my food I slow my car down taking my time to pull up to the menu. At this point I already know what I want (3 nacho tacos) very easy to make, the fryer literally drops them in the taco tray. No messy lettuce to deal with no food to cut or flip, all he has to do is drop them in the dryer the timer tells him when to pull them out he pours some cheese adds some jalapeños he's done... so you would think. Now to add to my previous employment with this particular company I worked the night shift so I know what kind of people they deal with and the struggles and so forth.. so I was polite very clear when they asked me what I wanted and the lady had me repeat my self perhaps out of habit to make sure she gets it correct she tells me my total and to proceed to the window. Great I'm thinking to myself, they heard my order it was a simple one I'm almost home from this long day. I paid for my meal and didn't look in the bag right away... something I assumed wouldn't be necessary given that it was easy right?? No not at all okay. I get home open my bag the first taco not so bad not realizing that the other two tacos had nothing in them! They were not even cooked all the way either! honestly I don't get mad easily so I decided I'd give them a call at first the guy was like I don't know who made them, and then after a few more sentences of explaining what time I was there he realized I was the guy that he seen while on his break realizing I knew exactly who he was. He tried to offer me to comeback but at this point there's no point I'm home. Bottom line I don't think I ever will eat at a Jack in The Box again. That is seriously laziness and disrespectful to think it wouldn't be a big deal I'll charge this guy and give him his messed up tacos. The good part: The counter people were very nice and friendly. The bad part: I ordered the new Buttery herb hamburger to go. Got it home in minutes and it tasted terrible. Not sure what that meat was or what it was combined with, but it was rubbery, tasted old and was gray in the middle. I took one bite and threw it out. We stopped at the 22nd / Harrison Jack in the Box for a quick lunch after the movie. We've been seeing the commercials on TV with the $1,$2,$3,$4,$5 specials. One of our favorites many years ago was the Bonus Jack sandwich - sort of their version of the Big Mac. Time to try another one . . . Tasted just like we remember! Double good meat with that "Jack special sauce"! Came with fries and a drink - this is where this Jack in the Box fell down. Just a few fries on our tray - this can't be a full order (we didn't need any more) - not our favorite fries. Drink machine was out of ice - had to get it from behind the counter - soda coming out of the drink machine was warm. Cashier was preoccupied with her phone and talking to someone - took our order, she disappeared, then we waited, waited, waited for our order. Place was clean and rest of staff was friendly and working hard. WAS our favorite Jack in the Box - may have to try another next time - usually better. read more
