We visited the Jackie Os location on a cold Sunday afternoon and brought a few of our friends with us. We all found it to be a very fun place. Lots of friendly staff and patrons. Great selection of in-house beers and lots of fun cocktails. We ordered both beer and cocktails... not one disappointed! also ordered food from Good Eats (also highly recommend) and had it brought inside to our booth. Stayed there for about two hours. I was visiting here for drinks after dinner with friends. Their cocktail and beer menu is limited. Their cocktails are just okay. I would recommend going over to pins first for a good cocktail first actually. The service is quick and pretty much the same as a busy college bar. The best part about this place is the environment though! So many options for seating -- inside, outside, swings, along a ramp, so on! There's a place for everyone! read more

However, if you haven't seen the new space in downtown Columbus, tell your uninformed friends to meet you there just to impress them. This page is a sight to see! Indoor is 2 floors, out patio and deck is 2 floors. There's so much room here to move around. I suggest what we did: spend time in a few different areas just to experience the different areas. Hang out with a buddy, call a group of friends together, or just stop by after work to shoot in the outdoor sieve in a beautiful day. Beer is good. No flights, but small pours for a price. Honestly I am really bummed to be ignored at the bar for over 20 mins last night. I understand it was during a OSU game. I was dead center of the bar. Hard to ignore. After watching people come up behind me multiple times and received service before me, I left. No bartender has blatantly ignored me like this. Jackie O's has long been a staple of Athens OH. If you're not from the area, you may have never heard of this sleepy little hippie-esque college town to the south east of Columbus, but Jackie O's is part of what gives it its character. Recently, Jackie O's opened a large location in the Columbus area, and it has been a hotspot ever since. They offer the same delicious beers brewed right here in Ohio, plus a list of seasonal cocktails. I've tried a few, but haven't tried many of their beers recently, as I am not a huge beer drinker. So far I have liked every cocktail I've tried except for the pickle martini. Pickles are my favorite food, but I hate sweet pickles, and it's definitely not made with regular dill pickles. It's strong but I was not a fan at all. The restaurant experience is fun, has a large patio with fireplaces, an upstairs, and plays home to Goood Friends, a great sandwich shop with a walk-up window. Definitely plan for parking to be an issue or to pay for it, as the on-site lot is super small and often difficult to find space in. Is a super cool place with a great location. Small lot for parking, if you're really lucky, maybe you can score one. Otherwise you're left with street parking or pay lots- across the street was $6. Jackie's is soooo large. A little chaotic on a Friday night, but it was so big that there were still plenty of space inside and outside where you could enjoy your drink. I think there were 3 different bars and none of them were too busy where you'd have to wait too long to get a drink. It has a cool vibe and atmosphere. Really clean and nicely decorated. They have a great selection of beers. Wish that they had a bigger bourbon selection and that the cocktail menu was a little bigger. But the cocktails that they had looked great and the bourbon peach tea was incredible. They don't have food which is fine, but there also wasn't a food truck. Actually technically there was a bagel food truck, but it was closed. I would definitely come back if I'm the area. It's a neat place. read more

What a cool brewery. Has everything you would want. Great beer for one and stouts if you like stouts which my hubby does. Several levels, and lots of comfy spots to sit and enjoy your beer. I seen at least three bars you can go to and order. There is a small area with a fire pit. Several swings as well. The one thing I did not see is much shade space. I am thinking and hoping at the top level there will be umbrellas, I meant to go up and see if it seems to be set up to include umbrellas but was enjoying the space too much where we were sitting. They will have food truck available soon I believe I heard. Seems to be plenty of parking in the area, across the street. Of course you have to pay for parking in these areas. I lucked out and parked at Jackio's and free parking. Can't wait to go back and stay awhile. read more

I went here a couple a weeks ago to hang out with friends and it was such a chill time! When we got there, their parking lot was full so we parked across the street in a lot that didn't cost too much. Once we were inside my friends and I got drinks. They were good and a decent size but were on the pricier size. I shared the dumpster potatoes from Goood Friends with my friend and it was so savory, delicious, and a little spicy. My friends and I just sat on the couches and hung out. It was chill time. The servers were nice, the food was good and the drinks were good. I would definitely go back and see what it's like outside in the summer! read more

Beautiful space - loved the variety of seating options. It was a gorgeous night to enjoy the outdoor space. With a frat party going on indoors, my husband and I appreciated the privacy of the one of the many nooks outside. I bet those fire pits are nice when the weather gets a bit cooler. Five stars for carrying the limited access OSU vs Purdue game!!!! They also have really great beer (lots of choices and varieties) and an awesome footprint. Warehouse style updated to include more than one patio/outdoor area. Dog friendly. Lots of reclaimed wood and local artwork on display. Clearly a great local hangout. Fun folks but not a campus style atmosphere. I started with "Who Cooks For You" a smooth hazy IPA that was not too hoppy or bitter. Easy drinking crowd pleaser. I finished with "Kinda Fuzzy" lightly fruity wheat ale. A little more bite than the first but also very easy going down. Staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. The patio had large greenery and planted to balance the industrial look. Tons of folks out there as the day was cloudy but mild for Ohio October. read more

Huge location, it just keeps going and going. It's fun explore, but a lot of great outdoor space. It will be interesting to see how this works in the winter months. The beer is great, but the pours are in deceivingly smaller glasses (shrinkflation) than the typical pint. The food options are pretty weak, too - only Bagel Street Deli with very odd hours. 21+ after 7pm, too - so make sure you don't bring the kids! read more

What a huge disappointment. We met another couple for a few beers and some food and wow - it was like a daycare. Kids running around everywhere, screaming, yelling - parents completely ignoring their children - drinking beers far away from where their kids were running. One parent was literally running upstairs with their child, screaming and carrying on. We left early. I love children but this was so rude, inappropriate and disruptive. We could not even have a conversation. Go to the park with your children if you want them to run around. The management at Jackie O's needs to get this figured out and corrected. read more

I'm a veteran of the three Jackie O's locations in Athens, but this one is a new animal. I walked in and was immediately overwhelmed by the space. It's a massive two story building with stairs, ramps, balconies, multiple bars and side rooms. Seems like an accident in waiting, considering how many beers here are north of 12%. They have a small area that serves food, similar to their Athens production facility. As a side note, I was told crowd capacity is near 800 people !! However , today I have had the words service I have received while there. The outside bartender Deshawn was so incredibly rude to my friends & I while we ordered our drinks. Jackie O's did a great job, the place is beautiful. Crowd was diverse with all ages, ethnicities, LGBTQ and pups and the service was fast and friendly. They left hints of their history at Ohio University while giving the downtown a well designed, fun HUGE venue to explore and enjoy. The beers were great, but they have always been delicious from this brewer. Lots of seating from plush covered booths and outdoor tables to several rooms either indoors or partially outdoors. A natural for any OU grads and anyone that want's the vibe. Hopefully they will have a happy hour once they settle in, either way worth checking out! read more
