So we stumbled upon this restaurant during an event in Nats Stadium. I'm Filipino so when I saw Filipino accents in the menu, I got super excited and had to try it. Gawd I wanted to this place so bad... Ok, so let's start with the cocktails. They ran out of a few cocktails in the menu but we are a flexible group so not a big deal! Then the appetizer. We ordered the tamarind fried chicken and were expecting big fat juicy breast or thigh of flavor explosion. I know there's a chicken shortage but what we literally got was 3 little boneless chicken nuggets, breaded and dusted with Mama Sita's sinigang mix with 5 pieces of pickles and little container of ranch. Oh it was $18!!!! If you say fried chicken on the menu, I will expect chicken with bones! Please consider Editing the menu. 2 of the 4 us got the Adobo braised short ribs with coconut milk grits and it was ok. The beef was tender but it had no sauce! Everyone Filipino has their own version of adobo and unfortunately it was hard to tell this version of adobo and left a lot to be imagined. I got the roasted chicken with beans and longanisa. I guess it's a take on pork and beans? It was ok. I was expecting a more flavorful marriage of the beans and longanisa, it wasn't a bad dish, just not a memorable one that I would order again. If the price point of this restaurant was a little cheaper maybe I'd come back. If you're not Filipino, this is a great place to start as you get a taste of our filipino inspired flavors, but as a Filipina, I had different expectations. read more

We had a table of five on a Sunday evening. There seemed to only be a handful of tables in the restaurant. We started with a charcuterie board that was lackluster in taste and quality of the meat and cheese. We all ordered pasta dishes. They did not have clams for one of the dishes and did alert us they were replaced with shrimp, but the dish lacked flavor. For the cannelloni, we received what was really just spaghetti (dry and tasted old) and meatballs of varying appearance on the inside... yikes! Our cocktails were served AFTER our entrees, disappointing we could not toasts out-of-town guests before our meal was served. Went to Jackie for a rehearsal dinner this past weekend and was blown away by the decor, food/drinks and service! The instant you walk you will be greeted with unique and eclectic decor that will transport you back in time. The restaurant captures the essence of Jackie Kennedy in everything from the lighting to cups. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful in our drink selection. While the rehearsal dinner had some preselected cocktails for all to enjoy, they were able to make me a hand crafted mocktail to enjoy while abstaining from alcohol. From those that did have the cocktails they assured me that the Jackie O, First Ladies Club and Macintosh were splendid! The food was also top notch. We had several rounds of appetizers that included ceviche and spring rolls as well as sliders and grilled skewer. The sliders were some of my favorites served at the event. From a guest perspective, Jackie was highly enjoyable and would be a venue I consider using if in need of one in the area! read more

This place is embarrassingly bad. Came for brunch on a Saturday. Wish we went anywhere else. Had to send the bloody mary back because it was undrinkable. Tasted like celery salt and cheap vodka. The waiter was charming. We joked after he asked how I would like my chicken sandwich cooked. I said "well" and oh how we laughed at the entondre. It came out nearly raw. I didn't have the heart to send it back after I already sent the drink back. I'll just never come here again, and warn everyone I know to avoid it. I've been frequenting Dacha Beer Garden and have been dying to dine at Jackie's. I visited for my birthday and they exceeded our expectations! The drinks were nice -- I had champagne and my boyfriend had an old fashioned. The food was delicious! I had the aged ribeye and my boyfriend had the sizzling pork. Everything was prepared to perfection! The best part by far was the service. Our waitress (I think her name was J) was personable and attentive. After learning that we were celebrating my birthday, the staff gave me a Birthday Card! Only thing we missed out on was dessert, but we will absolutely be back for some! Jackie DC was an intentional choice after reading positive coverage of the food and executive chef. As expected the food was excellent -- but the service was surprising and offended our party of three. Our terrible experience was partially mitigated by the restaurant manager who salvaged as much as possible - we were pleased to have a conclusion of competence and compassion. The check-in experience was normal and the hostess informed us of their updated COVID-19 related policies. We were given the option to either order via QR code or place our order through the restaurant staff. We were then provided confirmation that our table was ready and we could begin our outdoor dining experience. From this moment, our troubles quickly from mild to moderate to ruinous before we could enjoy a single menu item. We were initially promised a table with a large fire pit; instead we were brought to a table with a defective heat lamp. This was our first surprise as the seating arrangement had been confirmed at both check-in and previous on the phone. After an unsuccessful repair attempt, we were reseated at another table with a working heat lamp for the chilly fifty five degree night. Next, after an extended waiting period, our waiter informed our all-black table that he would be unable to accommodate our drink requests or otherwise provide restaurant service. We were directed to scan a QR code system that has an embedded menu and prepayment system -- it was quite similar to seamless (a food delivery app) without the convenience of being able to stay home. We ordered, paid and tipped the included 18% service charge using the QR code . It was our hope that we would be able to enjoy our self-service restaurant experience. Our hopes were unfulfilled. We noticed that the adjacent non-black table was invited to order food through the QR code or receive traditional restaurant service. The staff seemed happy to greet them and explain the highlights of the menu and recommended choices. This table also received their food and drinks in an expedited fashion. We noticed that all other non-black tables in our vicinity enjoyed the same pleasant experience that was not offered to our table. The contrast was apparent to all of us and only grew starker with time. Nearly thirty minutes later, we saw our complete prepaid food order arrive to an adjacent table who repeatedly insisted they did not order the food. The customers at this table quickly received their correct order which smelled quite nice as we sat at our bereft table. We attempted to flag down the server but were treated with disdain and suspicion. In fact, we were told that it could not have been possible there was a mistake. We were made to display a confirmation email to prove we had ordered our prepaid food. As all food coming out of the kitchen would have been prepaid, this was essentially an implication of potential theft or willful deception. At no point were we provided with an explanation as to why we may have been shivering outside if not with the intent to order and pay for food. Finally a short time later we received a portion of our prepaid food and prepaid drinks out of sequence. Entrees arrived. Appetizers were subject to further delay. The prepaid drinks remained in their liquor bottles behind a slow bar in our eyesight. Our requests continued to be generally overlooked and ignored. The sentiment we got was a feeling of surprise or indignation about our expectation to receive restaurant service in a restaurant. This surprise did seem to be limited to our table and none others in the vicinity. At this point we flagged down the manager Will and explained our observations. He used his mobile phone to quickly verify that their point of sale system showed that our delayed and discombobulated smorgasbord had been ordered, prepaid and assigned to the right table. This was the first time we began to be treated like customers and Will expressed deep regret and accountability for our poor experience. Although the meal had already been prepaid, he extended a few well appreciated gestures of goodwill that allowed us to enjoy the remainder of the evening. In short, we did not run a double blind study on race and service to prove causation but we did observe two hours of correlation. The food was great. The management was responsible. The service provided negative value and was correlated with some of the most negative assumptions on race. I recommend (with considerable reservation) for delivery or takeout and sincerely hope further training is provided to the relevant restaurant staff. read more

Jackie is the indoor Dacha- Navy Yard rebranded. The design is almost the same with a few extra pieces of Jackie art added. They have tables outside with GQ codes so you never have to interact with staff. You pay through the GR code and someone brings it to your table. Their menu is large. I recommend the Jackie O cocktail for something refreshing and the croquettes are really good! read more

My dog is getting up in years and it's becoming a challenge to get him to poop; we'll go on a two mile walk and nary a fart will escape his perfect little butthole. Well, imagine my surprise to find that the concrete walkway between Dacha and Jackie is his new favorite place for a stinky release! It never fails, day or night, he's always excited to poop right in front of the restaurant. We hosted the rehearsal dinner for our wedding in the private room in Jackie American Bistro in April 2024. Despite the change in sales manager from the time we booked to the time of our event, the staff at Jackie were very professional and communicative and worked with us to customize a meal and drink package that fit our wants, needs, and price point. The private room is beautiful and the perfect space for a rehearsal dinner or other private event. We had a designated server for our event and drinks were a bit slow to come out but the service was otherwise excellent. The sales manager who I was in contact with about the event came to check in on us multiple times throughout the event which I appreciated. The food, drinks, and dessert were absolutely delicious and everyone had a great time! We'll be back again for a meal next time we're in the Navy Yard area! read more

Neat little spot with some pretty cool menu items. I came here during dinner service one night and enjoyed it. I've tried the burger, the double fried chicken, and the black bread. All menu items were good but a tad bit overpriced in my honest opinion. The double fried chicken had a great crisp and was an excellent choice. I also found out that happy hour runs until about 8PM so that's a huge plus. I would love to return specifically to try the gourmet PB&J sandwich. I hope it meets my expectations. read more

Unlike the brother bar, DACHA - Jackie is newly branded for their indoor/outdoor restaurant. What I love about Jackie is everything. They quickly set up a outdoor area that resembles France/European vibe with chairs that face the outside and spread safely for CVD with the unique dishes that are JUST AS AMAZING delicious as the Dacha Beerhall style but with class and charm. Perfect for a ladies date or date night with your significant partner if you dont feel like a beer/burger across the park (which is also one of the best burgers in the area). Their scallop crudo was refreshing, sharable and delicious. They also make a wonderful titos little dirty martini. Everything you can order at the table too! Nice looking restaurant. Extremely sad they do not pay for talent they book. A collective I am the head of was hired by Jackie Bistro and its owner Dima and PR person Dana, to host New Years 2023. It was a raging success with the bar selling over $20k and a Kettle One Sponsorship for the event, Dj, sound, lights, etc. They have yet to pay us the agreed amount and keep delaying and delaying. Terrible and unprofessional people to work with. I do not recomend going here or there beer garden Dacha. Whole feel is cringy and unprofessional after working with them. Djs, and musicians stay away. I've had to do door dash to pay for my bills this month for my son and myself as I'm a full Time dj and this was supposed to cover many of my bills. Got the run around from the staff who hired us all the way up to the owners. Very sad they were so hype when it was beneficial and then so dismissive when it's payment time. We live above this restaurant and have tried many things on their menus. Although the food is decent, when we tried to plan a wedding event there we had a horrible experience. Despite having a signed contract for our event, a deposit in place, and invitations sent to our guests, the manager Rana told us last minute that Jackie's needed to make more money on the buyout and couldn't honor the contract . For us, it wasn't about the money. But if you're planning an event, we don't recommend it. For just a dinner out, it's got a nice vibe. I love the vibe of this restaurant, and the location is great, since it's right near the Nationals baseball stadium. It's actually part of the Dacha beer garden (hence the big bathrooms). The chicken sandwich was very good, as were the desserts. The menu is a bit limited, so not as many choices as I might like. This place is great! The service was very good as well. They have two options for ordering. You can scan the QRC code and order from your phone... your order comes right out to you. (Not as much exposure to others) Or you can order through a server and go that route. (Server wears a mask the entire time).
