A solid okay experience. The pros: The view cannot be beat, it is an amazing location for dining. Absolutely beautiful. The margarita was probably one of the best I have ever had, delicious. We enjoyed the quick arrival of bread, drinks and our appetizer. The cons: After the quick arrival of food at the beginning, it then took an hour for us to get our meals. While eating we heard the waitress at the other table describe some specials we hadn't been offered. Specials we would have ordered if offered the chance. The waiter quickly moved us out of there and it felt a bit like they wanted our table now. I'm not sure it would be my first pick to dine at in Ogunquit again. read more

My spouse and I happened to come across this place on a Friday night and found it to be quite a find. It was a hot night and the seating was outside which I myself am normally not fond of. The server was very pleasant and brought water before even asking about drinks. The food was great we got the fried haddock and sword fish kabobs. The kabobs were awesome. The view from this restaurant is amazing! That is the only good thing about the place. After being barked at by the owner for crossing the chain blocked doorway "where are you going??" I had hoped that at least my meal would be good. It was not. There was a hair on my plate, the shrimp and scallops did not taste fresh and my son's chicken fingers tasted worse than a fast food joint. The waitstaff was attentive and when I asked if the scary lady at the door was the owner our waiter said "yes, can you imagine how I feel? Dealing with her everyday!!" Went to Jackie's Too's yesterday for our Cousin's Weekend lunch. Love this place and their variety of food. There were 18 of us and I stated that we didn't need to sit together. The hostess proceeded to tell me that she couldn't accommodate us. Every question I asked her the only answer I got was NO!! We all left and went to MC's down the street. They were more than happy to serve us. Sad we couldn't eat at Jackie Too's but MC's was awesome. Unfortunately Jackie Too's lost out on making a hefty amount of money. read more

Went with a group of friends and our children for a late afternoon lunch. It took forever to get our drinks, which were wrong, waited and waited for our food, which was incorrect not once but twice and two meals completely forgotten. Waitress never once apologized and when we received our checks the tip was already filled in at 20%! Admittedly we weren't the ideal customers, we needed 3 separate checks, had rowdy kids, etc. but we also didn't complain about the poor service and weren't rude. As we were walking out a waitress (not even ours) yelled out Worst Customers Ever!!!! We went back to confront the situation and she continues to be rude and demeaning, the manager listened but also didn't apologise. Horrible service and not that great of food. Find someplace else to eat and enjoy the otherwise pleasant surroundings. read more

I went to Jackies with 3 friends on a fun drive from Boston. Our experience was horrible. We had a waitress who was the rudest service person I have encountered. She has short reddish hair and I would advise anyone who has to eat there be prepared. But, why would you go there and be treated so disrespectfully? I took one bite out of my crab sandwich and barely could swallow it. Terrible! The only thing good about the place was the view and I am sure you can get that somewhere else. The only good thing about this restaurant was the view. The service was terrible - the bartender was barking at all the waitresses and acted blatantly annoyed at our requests for drinks (drinks were also on the expensive side, $10 for a cosmo?). Our waitress gave us the bare minimum - rarely checked on us to see if we needed refills or condiments, and when we did request something she did not return for a long period of time with our request. We ordered the steamers for our appetizer - when it came to the table (only with broth on the side) we requested melted butter (which was on the menu) and hot sauce. The waitress did not come back for with the butter and hot sauce for at least 15-20 minutes, so we had to either eat our steamers plain or cold. I had the lobster roll - which was good, but small for its price. My sister ordered a greek salad with chicken - it came to the table without the chicken, and the chicken was not brought to the table until at least 15-20 minutes later. Maybe it was our luck - other tables seemed to have waitresses who checked on them regularly and were much quicker. However for the prices, I would not recommend the food. read more

If possible I would give a zero star rating. We have been coming to Ogunquit for 17 years, usually go to Oarweeds, but it was closed so we tried this instead. Our waitress was incredibly rude. My daughter and I were very hungry for clam chowder and grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches. When we ordered... mind you grilled cheese is on the children's menu... I was told they would not do this. I asked again, thinking she was joking and had a dry sense of humor... "I really can't have a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich??" "No we won't do that, it's not in the computer." "You really can't figure that out???" The waitress replied, "No, pick something else." I seriously would have paid $10 for a stinking grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. Since we were starving, I chose a crabmeat melt. It didn't taste good so I scraped off the crabmeat and my daughter gave me slices of tomato from her sandwich and I kind of made my own sandwich. The waitress continued to act annoyed by our presence. She brought the bill, which came to $29.75. Now... a tip is for good service, excellent service gets a great tip. I generally am a very generous tipper. I left $30. Never done that before! My daughter and I left the restaurant and stood out front to take a photo by the ocean... the older gray haired waitress actually charged out the restaurant door and hurled a quarter at us!!! Baked Stuffed haddock uses the same filling as the crab cakes, so obviously it has no flavor, not even the fries or veggies that accompanied the dish were more like homeless children than flavorful sidekicks to an excellent dish. Note to servers: DO NOT SWEAR ON THE RESTAURANT FLOOR, people can hear you. if your a person who enjoys more flavor and consistent results, go to Burger King. Perkins Cove is absolutely beautiful If you decide to visit here, I strongly recommend that you DO NOT dine at Jackie's Too! I visited here two times in the last week and have received horrible customer service on both occassions!!!!The hostess looked so drained and unhappy. When I asked how long the wait was I was told they didn't know. My husband and I decided to put our name on the wait list. I came back 15 minutes to see how many people were ahead of us. I asked and old woman guarding the front door how many guests were in front of us. We have a baby and wanted to know how many people were in front of us in case the wait was too long. The angry woman at the door looked at me and said : "the list is right there. You can see with your own two eyes how many people are ahead of you. I was appalled to say the least. We were so hungry that we decided to just stay and eat there even though we had been treated so horribly. As we were leaving, I approached the young hostess and told her how rude and unprofessional the old woman managing the entrance was. I thanked her for being mice to us. I asked if I could speak with the Owner and was told she is the nasty woman at the front door who was so rude to you. I couldn't believe! We just gave our $ to some ungrateful and miserable person who didn't deserve it. The hostess told me not to take it personally and that she is mean and rude to everyone! I am vegan and I have to say, eating at Jackie Too's was the WORST experience ever. I expected to see dead lobster everywhere, but when I tell a waitress that I am allergic to dairy and she doesnt care or understand - which results in my being sick almost an entire evening out of my vacation, that it unacceptable. The SALAD that I ordered not only apparently had shallots sauteed in butter, but it also had lobster bits that flaked off from other plates on the line. DISGUSTING! After searching the menu we decided we'd nix the food and start the drinks. Once the waiter realized this, he disappeared completely. Our Corona's were served with limes that had gone bad (I mean like really bad) and I was confused about the rice in the salt shaker. Shouldn't they just replace the salt more often instead of making the salt shaker look disgusting? I don't know. The place really turned me off and after our one beer (which we had him switch out for different beers without limes) we decided to leave and look for somewhere better. I have never been to a restaurant with such awful service... including management..please do not waste your time there are far better places ... I would like to explain my experience.... Went in today at 3:15 got sat immediately thinking this is awesome.. needless to say my sever never greeted is till 3:35!!!!! I will explain that many people got sat after us and let me just say they had there meals before we EVEN had our drinks ....Ourserver did arrive eventually explaining she didn't know we were there.... Seriously.....I can probably understand that but she proceeded to go to the next table greet them and take there whole entire order including dinner (and a party of 6) my complaint is if you forget a table please take the time to make it up by getting at least tht drinks out in a timely manner .... therefore I left no tip and will never return to this restaurant...if I would have checked on Yelp on saw 2 stars I would of never wasted my time ....Now I know why you got 2 stars .? and I will note I did speak to the HOST ... Worst meal of our entire trip to Maine! Firstly, my salad arrived with a long hair in it. they took the salad back removed the hair cleaned the edge of the plate and brought the same salad back (I had already tossed it so quite obvious). The sandwich which was supposed to come on "homemade sour dough bread" came on essentially wonder bread or something similar. the sandwich which was supposed to have roasted eggplant and red peppers came with no red peppers, enough said this restaurant was awful the only slightly redeeming factor was the view but truthfully you could go next door and get an equally beautiful view. Dining out on Vacation is one of my favorite parts of travel but this was a low point. read more

The view is what really drew us in- right on the water with outdoor dining available. Big beautiful bar. and the inside from what I saw looked nice as well. Bathrooms were pretty messy and needed a good cleaning however. Drinks were small but the menu is pretty large and eclectic which is nice as it ranges from baked seafood, a whole lobster section, pasta dishes, sandwiches and burgers, to fried seafood. We ordered the seafood alfredo which was heavy on the sauce in my opinion but was tasty none the less. Also had the baked haddock with the green beans on the side and fries. Fries were crispy and the haddock was well seasoned with some peppers of some sort in the bread crumb topping which added a nice zing to the dish. Overall somewhat expensive dinner for 2. We got a steamers app and it ran around $22 when we saw the same amount listed for $15-$16 elsewhere but good tasting food. Service was a bit slow but can't win em all I suppose! read more

TERRIBLE! Lobster bisque had no lobster - it tasted like salt and cornstarch. Baked stuffed haddock was supposed to be stuffed with lobster and crab. Do not come here. The view was beautiful but the food and service was an absolute joke. Our server was rude and made my boyfriend and I feel uncomfortable for splitting a two lobster meal. Then once the food was brought out he brought us melted margarine or oil instead of butter. I asked my server "del" if He would mind bringing us real butter and instead of being polite and going back to the kitchen and asking he literally argued with me and told me I was wrong and it was real butter. He then brought me more oil. I then went to the manager in front of Del and asked if it was butter and he said it was not real butter. So after a huge problem they finally brought me butter for our lobster. Both lobsters were also completely over cooked to the point where they were inedible. We also ordered a side of rice which I thought would be good considering the prices of their food but what they brought over was uncle bens ready rice pilaf that comes precooked and you microwave it for 90 seconds. The food was fine for most of our party, but my seafood was overdone and rubbery so I sent it back. They made up another dish that took longer to make than all of our meals combined. I ate by myself while everyone else was already done. The waitress was not attentive at all and never once apologized for anything. She barely checked on us the whole time, and they were not too busy. When we asked what could be done to make up for my meal taking so long and being poorly made the first try, we were told nothing could be done, that I ate the meal, so that means I enjoyed it, so I have to pay. We asked to speak to a manager and both of them treated us very poorly. They acted as if nothing went wrong at all and were condescending and seemed upset at us for even trying to suggest that something went wrong during the meal. I implore you not to eat here. We got a recommendation from the desk at the Meadowmere to eat here, right on Perkins Cove Ogunquit Me gorgeous location over looking the water. We got a primo public parking spot right out front. Donna went up and gave our name to the girl( who couldn't even pronounce anybody's name correctly) to sit outside overlooking the water she said it was just a few minutes. 20 minutes later they took another 2 people who came in after us, so I said they arrived after after us,she said they wanted a window seat. Another 10 minutes go by and we get seated 3rd row from the water right next to the door and guess who is sitting right in the water??? You guessed the Mr & Mrs Window seat!!! I was not happy called over the manager, he apologized it was a mistake. No drinks, no apps, nothing. 1st drunk sour sent it back, 2nd drink stuff floating in it. Service was slow, food marginal at best bathroom filthy. Nuff said read more

After visiting Jackie's Too many times over the past 15+ years , I am sorry to report it is now officially a "tourist trap". While the views are great, they no longer make up for the mediocre food and surly waiters. On our most recent visit we were charged $7.50 for a Virgin Mary , (Bloody Mary is $9.00 and beer $4.00). Food is great (second visit), but the place is a sauna! Not sure if the AC is broken or non-existent, but sitting inside was absolutely impossible due to the heat and outside only marginally better. Views were amazing, lobsters were a tad overcooked and not as fresh as they could have been.

My wife and I were spending a couple of days in Maine this past week and we decided to walk the Marginal Way and have lunch at Jackie's Too, which is a place we always love going to for great food, friendly staff, and a beautiful view of the ocean. We sat at the bar, had some drinks and appetizers. When I asked the bartender for a couple of dinner rolls, she said she would have to charge us for them! Needless to say, my wife and I were speechless. We go to many restaurants and have never been told we would be charged for a couple of dinner rolls. After spending almost $100.00 that day for lunch, don't you think they could spare a couple of dinner rolls? Just sayin' ! read more
