I'm sorry to be writing this review, I once considered this place to be probably the best pizza in the entire area. Last night I was informed that they no longer served stuffed crust, pizza, which isn't normally the end of the world, but it did make them stand out among other places, on top of that the pizza was very dry and the flavor was comparable to Little Caesars. We also got a smores pizza, which by all accounts should have been great but what we got a burnt chocolate with burnt marshmallow and crust you literally had to rip bites off of. Very disappointed from all this, I hyped them up so much to my friends and family and they made a liar out of me

My expectations were low but I was pleasantly surprised to find this place so close to home. We had two pies, one a mega pepperoni pizza, the other a 16" meat pizza. Both were covered in their respective meat or meats and with a plethora of cheeses. They were well received by all and will be our go to in the future.

If cauliflower can be pizza crust, y'all, we can be ANYTHING! Hubby's gone keto, so I'm having to get creative- I'd known of Jackpot Pizza for a while (started following their Facebook back after Harvey). These garlic knots are more than my dreams are made of. No lie. Words don't do justice to the level of amazing of these garlic knots. Every other garlic knot I've eaten in my life was a waste. They need to have their names changed to meh. I cant properly describe the fluffy, pully, cramelizedy, cheesy hot love i just experienced. My life is forever changed. My children and I went here to try it for the first time. We got a chicken Alfredo and a X-Large pepperoni. The food was fresh and tasted flavorful. The only thing that was disappointing was the amount of grease that was collected on the pizza making it hard to hold each slice. I know we will be back, also the lady in the front was pleasant and made us welcome our first visit and gave us recommendations. Sweet girl, good food. We will be back! read more

I'm a huge pizza fanatic. I am always looking for the next pizza place for me to try. Fast forward to 2021 and I'm a little bit older and am holding onto a few more pounds so I've started the ketogenic diet. I hated that pizza was not one of the things I could eat until I found Jackpot Pizza! The cauliflower crust pizzas they offer are awesome! Even my 7 yr old daughter approved. If you are on Keto, this is the place to get your pizza fix! I'm going to try the chicken crust soon, I hope it is just as good as the cauliflower crust. As much as I love this cauliflower crust pizza it keeps kicking me out of ketosis. I have asked the owner for the ingredients (not the recipe) to the cauliflower crust with no success. I can only hope she is not marketing this product as keto when it is just low carb. read more

We ordered two thin crust pizzas and when they arrived it was pan crust pizza. I would normally just eat the pizza and work off the extra bread at the gym. Due to COVID-19 I was restricted so the extra bread was not an option. I called back and inquired about my order error and was pleasantly greeted by the owner who not only replaced my order but scheduled the delivery. I call with the plan to pick up my pizza. They said that they could deliver within 40 min. So, I opted for delivery. I called Bach at the 90 min mark. They told me it was on the way. Thirty minutes later (2 hrs after placing the order) I called to cancel the order. I will never again order from Jackpot Pizza. read more

We just love Jackpot Pizza. The pizza is consistently hot and delicious. They have the best pizza in town, by far. I love that they also have a cauliflower crust option, which is also delicious. The owner has a wonderful heart and gives back to the community through her Feed it Forward program, where anyone in need can come in and be served a free hot meal, no questions asked, should they find themselves in hard times. Was so good for so long. And then......Last Friday ordered rolls, 2 pizzas and a cauliflower crust pizza. Was told 40 minute delivery. 1 hour 10 later, while they're not answering their phones, we get no rolls and 1 pizza is totally wrong. Even the poor driver couldn't get ahold of anyone. Finally they answered a personal cell and the driver said we would get a full refund. We didn't. Only for the rolls and the wrong pizza. Terrible. read more

Being new to the area, we are looking for good pizza. We have yet to find it. Myself being a pizza minimalist I ordered pepperoni, my wife ordered a vegetarian, my step daughter ordered the gluten-free ham and pineapple. In the world of pizza they are comparable to Marcos, which I have not reviewed yet, Which is to say that they were slightly better and the big chain pizza abominations, like Domino's, Papa John's, Pizza Hut, Little Caesars, you get the idea. Having grown up in New York I know what pizza should be, not what the corporate monster has turned it into and brainwashed the general population into accepting. Now full transparency, my husband is a New Yorker, and by his standards it was average for NY pizza. But judging by my Houston palate I thought it was good. The calzone was my favorite. Adding the optional ricotta made all the difference. It took it from a 4 to a 7. The only downside was the pepperoni. I could literally count the slices and wished there were more. That said, the bread texture was wonderful, and that same great texture carried over to the garlic knots, which I really enjoyed. I think trying meatball, or a supreme (heavier on the meat) version would be fantastic. When I go back I'll that and be sure to update. We also tried the chicken parm sub. It was okay, though my husband thought it was subpar. Personally, I think the tomato sauce did a lot of the heavy lifting flavor-wise. Surprisingly, I really liked the cannoli filling, which says a lot because I usually don't care for cannolis. They often don't taste like much to me, but this one did. The inside of the place is very quaint and mom-and-pop, which I loved. Service was great. I ordered to go, was told 20-25 minutes, and the food was ready in about half that time. All in all, this is a solid pizza place for locals, and I'd absolutely come back to try more items on the menu. I want to try the original place and see if it's better. I mean, it should taste the same right? (Will update when I find this out).

The pieces of meat were just shaved and not crispy or anything like you may receive on some gyro at other places. The potatoes were homemade and basically 1/4 potatoes, sliced lengthwise. I was so full from the gyro that I only ate one of the potatoes but didn't think it was very lemony at all. Customer service was excellent the entire time and they will even come to your table and take your plate away as if they are full service, which they aren't . I also ordered a slice of coconut cream pie, or at least that's what they said it was. It had no cream in it and appeared to be a coconut custard pie not that different than the one I make at home. It was delicious as well.

The restaurant is small with only tables and maybe 4-5 seats at the small bar. We arrived about 15 minutes before our 6:45pm reservation and had to wait due to no available tables, but that was not a showstopper. The noise level was moderate throughout our stay such that one could easily carry on a conversation with table mates without having to scream. Almost all patrons were nicely dressed. Since this is a Michelin acknowledged restaurant two years in a row, we were expecting uniqueness and we were not disappointed. That said, food was very good, but I would not rate it as spectacular. The blue fin tuna tostados were delightful and hands down the best dish we had. Ceviche mixto was excellent with a just a hint of heat. I would order these two appetizer dishes again. Main courses consisted of duck 2 ways, redfish with green mole and risotto, spring cavatelli, and grilled shrimp & pork belly. All were delicious and uniquely tasty with the exception of the duck. Mind you, I really like duck and the sliced portions were excellent and perfectly seasoned and moist, but the pate-like accompaniment was not that good, plus the mole sauce was not what I was expecting. Table sides of Brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower were good but nothing special. The Eton Mess with strawberries was simply delicious. Would I go back? Maybe, but not anytime soon.

While exiting, I noticed they also offer a lunch buffet from 11-2:30 which immediately caught my attention for a future visit. Now comes the dangerous part. The kids opened their containers of butter chicken with rice and spicy aloo, and my mouth instantly started watering. The portions were generous, and I found myself asking the same question over and over...**Why didn't I order anything?!** Curiosity officially got the best of me, so yes... I stole a bite. Actually... maybe two. The butter chicken was incredibly flavorful with a rich, creamy sauce that had me wishing there was another container with my name on it. But the real surprise for me was the spicy aloo. I'd never had potatoes prepared quite like that before, and they completely stole the show. I wanted that entire side for myself. Good Pizza! It's not papa johns, pizza hut, or dominos ITS JACK POT PIZZA it's different and good! pretty greasy in a good pizza way. Little Caesars is good if you want to spend 5 bucks then in that sense it's good for 5 bucks, but when I want a burger I don't go to the cheapest place I go to becks prime and get a good burger that I know wont cost me 5 bucks.... understand my analogy??? This is the best pizza I've had in Houston! I get the pizza loaded and it has been perfect every time. It is expensive if you don't use a coupon but they always have some available on their site.
