Came in for the buffet, felt complicated but made it through, the food honestly was mid. Some of the sushi tasted off and the mango they put on the mango Cali is pretty bad. Service progressively got bad and look at the gyoza burnt to a crisp. The shrimp 1/2 pound was like a shrimp boil was great but the corn in it tasted like nothing/old. Wouldn't recommend and will not be back. Also no descriptions on the menu for any of the sushi items. The takoyaki had the smallest piece of octopus in it. The best sushi options were the crunchy rolls we got the coconut shrimp crunch roll but it didn't taste like coconut. The quality is not there for a buffet you pay $43 for. read more

The avocado fries were especially delicious, and the lemony sauce that comes with them made them even better. We recently tried **Jackpot Sushi and Crab**, mainly because of their great to-go specials, and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. 5 star We ordered the shrimp Lover (just $10 after the 50% offer) and it's something I could easily keep going back for. The portion was generous, with plenty of Cajun-style shrimp. We ordered the medium spice level, which had the perfect kick for us. The corn in the bowl was honestly next level and added so much flavor. 4 star We also tried their BOGO sushi offer - the Spicy Crunch Roll and Salmon Roll. Both were really good. I appreciated that they kept the rolls simple without drowning them in unnecessary sauces or soy. Not part of the specials, but we also tried the Mango Roll. My husband absolutely loved it. For me personally, I would have preferred small chunks of mango instead of mango purée but that's just a personal preference (I'm not the biggest mango fan anyway). Overall, true value for money. This is a great little sushi spot close to the Pantages theater (where we were headed for an event). I love that they have a good all-you-can-eat option, with small rolls so you can try a lot of different things. Often all you can eat is so rice heavy to fill you up, these were perfect! Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. I also appreciated that while our timeline grew thin, they were able to crank out a few more rolls so that we would be full before we left. My only complaint would be I wish the pictures had the roll description/ingredients next to them to help me decide, but that's just me splitting hairs. Unironically the worst sushi I've ever had. I've had store bought sushi taste better than this. Place, I thought the 4.7 star rating was a good indicator but I was wrong. I was craving sushi so I bought sushi, but this just made me hate the thought of sushi in general. When I think of sushi now all I can think about is how awful it was to take that first bite from this place. I ordered the California roll, safe to say NEVER ORDER the California roll from here. I encountered Jackpot Sushi & Crab after a brief web search. Considering that it was less than a mile from my home I decided to give it a shot with a friend. The restaurant is very modern-looking with concrete walls and ceiling and much bigger than it appears from the outside. The menu is substantial. A very large portion is devoted to various varieties of American-style rolls with tempura and sauces. However, there were also a number of other non-sushi dishes to choose from. I ordered a sushi roll draped in salmon, for ten dollars, and chicken katsu with curry for thirteen. We started with complimentary miso. I have to say, something about the miso tasted a little off. I've had a LOT of miso soup and nothing has tasted like this. The katsu was, unfortunately, dark meat chicken, but the sauce was nice and had just the right amount of kick. The roll with salmon was pretty good. The fish tasted very fresh and I liked the sauce. Overall, I got out of this restaurant with a meal under thirty dollars, something pretty unusual. But I can't say I was super impressed. I may try coming back during the Happy Hour and see if my choices perhaps didn't reflect the overall quality of the restaurant. read more

Place is nice and clean. Servers are all nice and accommodating- they are nicer to the regulars (I'm surprised they even have regular's). I parked on the street. HOWEVER the food was terrible IMO. We got tonkotsu chicken ramen and the chicken was burnt and mid flavor. I ordered a shrimp tempura with NO flavor- 4 pieces. They do have soy sauce and sriracha which it definitely needs. Veggie tempura with 2 pieces and looked like a bunch of leftovers smashed together. The best thing I did try was the california roll but it barely had any rice on it!!! Would never return. This place is terribleeeeee I'm convinced all of the good reviews are because they give a free dessert for it. AYCE was ~$45 and the fish quality was so bad we just kept ordering appetizers which were mid. Not to mention they didn't bring us half of the things we ordered. And they also do AYCE in rounds? With a bunch of weird rules. Felt like a game to order food. Service and food pacing was incredibly slow, and to top it all off the waitress hovered over us while we had to write a tip on the receipt. Jackpot Sushi is located on Santa Monica Blvd. and Hobart Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA. This is a fairly new location that serves all you can eat sushi and other amazing delicacies. The customer service has been amazing the two servers are sure to check on us constantly. Even one of the chefs came to check of everything was perfect! It definitely was! I enjoy places where the servers are approachable and make small conversations. The food quality is really good, especially for an AYCE place. I enjoy their selection of nigiri especially the peppered salmon and salmon truffle. The rolls were really good. I had the tempura spicy tuna roll and it was really good. We definitely took advantage of the appetizers from avocado fries, fried calamari, edamame with garlic and chili, and takoyaki. Parking was good. They have a parking in the back and best of all it was free. Overall, best quality of sushi, great customer service, and good parking. That is what makes my review a 5-star review. I missed the alarm by 30 minutes, and when I went to book, the coveted Friday and Saturday reservations were gone, but I was able to score a 5:15 pm reservation on a Wednesday night. If a weekend reservation is imperative, I recommend being at your computer at 10 am on the dot on a Sunday morning. We arrived early and parked in the neighborhood, street parking was easy to find at this time on a weekday afternoon. We were welcomed into the restaurant at a few minutes before our reservation time by a member of staff wearing a suit. We were seated at our table, in the second room. We were asked about our water preference and then immediately brought said water and an alcoholic beverage menu. We were not brought a food menu as the restaurant is kaiseki course and all options are decided by the chef. I believe that they accommodate some dietary restrictions, but I am unsure of which specific ones they can accommodate and which they can't. N/Naka serves 13 courses in their kaiseki, and each course was plated beautifully and with a lot of detail. While everything was superb, a couple of standouts for me personally were the truffle pasta (which the staff informed us, chef had been cooking and serving every day for many years), the wagyu steak and the sushi. The ambiance felt upscale and elegant without being over the top or gaudy. Service was lovely. The staff were friendly and focused on providing the perfect experience for us. Everyone was kind and attentive without being overly formal, like some fine dining restaurants. I tried the tuna hand roll and the crab hand roll, and neither one disappointed. The fish tasted incredibly fresh, the seaweed had the perfect crispness, and every bite had an amazing balance of texture and flavor. It's one of those meals where you slow down just to appreciate how well everything comes together. The atmosphere made the experience even better. The vibe inside is relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for enjoying great food without feeling rushed. Watching the hand rolls being prepared right in front of you adds to the experience, and you can tell they put a lot of pride into every roll they serve. I wish I remembered my server's name because everyone made us feel right at home. I already can't wait to come back and work my way through the rest of the menu. This is definitely going to become one of my go-to sushi spots, and it's a place I'll be bringing my other hooper friends to because I already know they'll love it as much as I did. We both chose the 6 Hand Roll set for $29 which included toro, yellowtail, salmon, scallop, crab and lobster. I would've went with a smaller set if they had uni but they unfortunately did not have uni on this day. I like that they ask if you have any allergies to anything to substitute out any rolls. I also liked that, when presenting the rolls, she told us what each one was. Pricing here is actually decent. $29 for 6 rolls and I was full already by the 5th roll. Quality of the fish was good too. If you're looking for decently priced simple hand rolls, then you might like this place. I've had hand rolls in OC and 3 different spots in Vegas and I gotta say I prefer the ones in OC/Vegas more. They are more expensive though but they have some different items that I like. They also have dipping sauces while this place has just soy sauce. Parking here is valet only. Not sure why all plazas in Ktown do this. It would be annoying if I did drive out here and have to pay for valet/parking everywhere I go.
