My strip
David S.

We're do I start, very non assuming place as you see it from the street. When you enter you're greeted with a smile and sat on time for your reservation. The menu is small just as I like it. I had the NY strip with fresh French fries it came with an amazing home made steak sauce it was really good. BUT!! The pork schnitzel was OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!! Can't wait to go back for more. Everything about this experience great

Jack's has been at this location for 18 years. I never heard of it...and one of my neighbors refers to it as a "diner" (but he's never been there). It ain't no diner!! I mean, I have no issues with diners...I grew up in diner-land (NYC). But Jack's has white tablecloths and higher end options; making this a lovely destination for special occasions. What I really loved was the lack of pretentiousness while providing great service. The menu has options for all tastes and preferences- truly "American" themed. Two of us had the pear blue cheese salad-which we both devoured and really enjoyed. The other two had the shrimp Gorgonzola and did exactly the same...they loved it. Left nothing to the imagination. The bread that's brought to the table is light and fluffy with a crunchy crust.... accompanied by a plate of seasoned olive oil and a small dish of butter. They also bring out a plate of pâté with crackers (that are in the plastic packages...which made me giggle). I'm not a huge fan of liver, but the pâté was very good. Main dishes included the filet, pork schnitzel, scallops and salmon. All rave reviews. I had the salmon and I asked for it to be rare-it was almost rare but honestly cooked perfectly. The horseradish crust was delicious and the mashed potatoes underneath were smooth, buttery and decadent. The asparagus was the only rough spot; parts of it were tough to eat. That said, I would get the salmon again. Loved it. Dessert? Of course! We were celebrating a birthday!! Crème brûlée, cheesecake and chocolate mousse....all gone! I had the mousse and it delivered...chocolatey, smooth, light and heavy at the same time. So good. I was so full...all of us were. Went home and crashed in a blissful food coma. Don't let the small strip mall location fool you. The inside is large and the tables were very well spaced. I'll definitely be back.

Chicken Piccata
Thomas D.

Their marketing says it all, "upscale dining with a neighborhood feel." We met friends here for dinner and ordered a variety of foods. Service was wonderful and the full bar had all of our favorite liquors. I opted to start with the chicken wings and then ordered the chicken piccata with mashed Yukon potatoes. Others had the haddock, and crab cakes. Pate was complimentary to start things off. Dessert included the cheesecake with blueberry coulis and a chocolate mousse. It was a warm, humid evening so we all ordered our summer drink of choice: "Rose Kennedy's"--Ketel vodka, club soda, splash of cranberry and a lime wedge. Everything was very good.

Bread pudding.

The wraparound porch is just so nice to sit outside and eat in warm weather. They really utilize the space well, as it's covered in colder months so you can still sit there. I was here for brunch on Mother's Day with reservations and was seated promptly. Due to the holiday, parking was not possible in their lot as it can only take a few cars. No matter, as we were able to park nearby. Their brunch menu had plenty to choose from. You were given these small carrot cake muffins to start, then a choice of starter and main along with dessert, wow! You also had a few cocktails to choose from and you could also swap out for a mocktail too. It was extremely busy but the staff was attentive and handled our orders with ease. Their attention to detail was so nice. For starters we had a strawberry salad, French onion soup, tuna tartare, coconut shrimp. For mains, the burger, salmon Benedict, chicken and waffles and a Polynesian style breakfast bowl with coconut shrimp, sticky rice, pineapple and greens. Lastly on a full tummy we had coffee with chocolate mousse, strawberry shortcake and peanut butter cheesecake. Spending the morning here for brunch was the perfect way to kick off the day. Brunch was enjoyed by all. On a side note, I've also had dinner here and you can expect the same wonderful experience. I'll be back again!

We stopped in (had eaten there before) and prepared ourselves for a sure to be delicious meal. They have a fun frequently changing menu of small, medium and large plates so you can choose your own foodie adventure. If you want to sit at the bar you get a great view of the chefs at work preparing your meal. If you want a cozier experience, sit in the comfortable seating in the rear of the restaurant. Our server was very attentive but chill and knowledgeable. We got the Utica greens to share as an appetizer, a cocktail and Mad Max local beer, then a burger with hand cut fries and a chicken stuffed poblano. Dessert was a passion fruit chocolate tart which we took to go. If you're looking for well crafted food with a creative twist, this place is a great choice. Service was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Taylor was one of the best servers we've had in a long time. Everything is made fresh daily, and if you sit at the Chef's Counter, you'll see it first hand. You'll also get great descriptions of everything from the awesome Chefs and maybe get to try something extra too. I recommend using the reservation system on their website and specify your seating preferences. You can choose from the Chef's Counter, the bar, a high-top table, a low table, or an outdoor table (weather permitting). We also appreciated them asking about food allergies on the reservation system too and they verified it when we arrived. We were so impressed with the unique menu options that are offered in the appetizers, small shareable plates, main courses, desserts, and drinks. We are already planning on coming back Sunday for brunch and know we'll be back again soon for dinner.

If that's an indication about breakfast itself... we will absolutely be back to try it! (Super long wait might have been caused by Father's Day). Of course, Boyfriend also had to pick up some fudge to try. Gift shop is cute but nothing like Cracker Barrel, so don't expect that - but definitely go for the donuts!
