I'm from out of town and wanted a good pizza. My buddy lives down here and goes here all the time. It's a great sports bar. Has all different beers. We got the special birra bites which were amazing. We built our own pizza also with sesame crust. Service was great can't remember her name (Ohio State sweatshirt) but she was super friendly and attentive. I'll definitely go back to this place. Prices were good too. But watch the check with credit card. Service charge without telling us. But that's the world we live in now. read more

This place is good when dining in. However, everytime I try to give it a chance for take out, the wings are always dry and the fries are cardboard. I live less than a mile away. What a shame. First time here. Very impressive local sports bar in west end. Large drink menu and surprising food menu. At first i thought it was a chicken wing and nacho type of place, but no this is a legit large menu with great options for anyone. Lots of families with kids in there. More tv's on the wall than best buy has. Had a cheese steak, mozzarella wheels. Very large portions. I haven't been to Jack's in over 5 years. Let me tell you the food is amazing!! Fresh ingredients, portion sizes are crazy big. I had the California chicken wrap and barely ate the first half. My son ordered the cheesesteak and that looked like it had a pound of meat on it. My husband had the Jersey burger and loved it! Our waitress Emily was very friendly and attentive. Once I found out Jacks opened up again I knew I had to order from here for Yelp's Big Night In. We ordered. personal pizza, buffalo wings, fried raviolis and the Panko Chicken Wrap. I never have anything bad to say about Jack's their food is always amazing. They even gave me 6 extra wings just because, didn't even ask for it! Also the service (even in quarantine) is great. Online it said it would be ready in 45 minutes and we got a call saying it's ready to be picked up in 30! Once we got there only one person was allowed to go in and get our order, which is good for social distancing of course. Excellent sports bar. TV's galore to watch any sport you wish and a great beer list to boot. Menu has all the usual favorites you would expect to find in a bar plus extras. I promise you won't be disappointed. This place gets crowded on the weekends as it located relatively close to Monmouth University and is popular in its own right regardless. One of the best places to watch football down here! This place has so much space and tables that it doesn't make me claustrophobic. There are TVs wrapped around the room so it does feel overwhelming. You won't know which one to watch! Lol but it's way better than not enough TVs and asking the servers to change it to a different channel and they end up saying no. Anyways, their menu is SO big. All of their food sounds so good. We ended up getting the goal line wings which can be a main course for two. The wings aren't wings, they are legit full size fried chicken which was marinated in Frank's Red Hot. Delicious concept and the spice gives it a kick. It was a tad salty but just go with it. Super quick on the spot review. In summation I had an awesome time with incredible food for a great price. INCREDIBLE FOOD. The oven baked wings with honey bbq was chef's kiss, not overly heavy yet still crispy and juicy. The Shaved Prime Rib sandwich was on garlic bread. Nuff said, so delish. This is a loud place! Big room, loads of televisions, music was okay when we arrived but suddenly became louder as we sat there. Food seemed like solid bar food but I wasn't prepared for the noise! Servers were busy so when they took a while to get to us, we decided this wasn't the place for us and left. It'd be a great place to bring young kids though since no one would notice if they were loud and raucous lol. read more

Jacks! Great bar food in the long branch area. It's considered a "local" place. It's away from the boardwalk but not too far. I've been here a handful of times, a friend of mine showed me (a local). you must order the mozzarella rings and not the sticks (not knocking the sticks, see pictures). Jack's is the perfect place to go for alcoholic beverages, food and a night of fun! I've been here about four times and I'm never disappointed. The staff is extremely friendly and will try their best to accommodate you and/or your party. The front of Jacks is a bar with stools. In the back, there are tables, arcade games and a juke box. The food here is delicious. I've had the potato skins, wings, pizza, grilled chicken and a wrap. All of them tasted great. My family threw a birthday party at the back of the establishment one evening. The owner was very friendly and reserved a few tables for us. The servers even opened up a tab if we wanted to purchase liquor. All we had to do was tell them was who was on the tab. The owner wanted us to order drinks with the server instead of going up to the bar. So the server can receive tips which is completely understandable. I decided to try a San Genaro pizza instead of my tried & true vegetable pizza the other night. The pizza is served with ricotta cheese, prosciutto, ham, garlic & spinach. Although it was good, it was the first time my pizza did not come out hot. The beer selection was better than ever & we had Bob, the bartender, who actually knows about good beer. We've found in the past many who work there do not. Still love this place but I think next time I'll stick with the best veggie pizza I've ever had. Food was really good. It was extremely busy on a Friday night and we were surprised to be seated right away. Unfortunately our waitress was very inattentive and it seemed like she only ignored our table, maybe because we were a couple with children and not college kids, but who knows. We sat without drinks for 10 min before walking up and asking for more. After our food was brought she never came and checked and we sat forever waiting for the things we needed for our dinners. When we needed our check we had to wait again and our kids were falling asleep at the table, she wasn't coming back again so we brought up our check and payment and told another waitress who seemed kinda annoyed by us. Down in long branch making some purchases. Found this place on Yelp and decided to try it. The front is really cool looking representing an old brown wood building. Parking in back a completely 180 degrees. The lot is small filled with stones and the place does not look inviting at all. Went inside which was decorated with 40 TV's with every sport on them. This is not a quiet place and at 7:15 pm on Wednesday probably 70 % of patrons are under 30 yoa. Omg I'm the old guy again. After a brief conversation with the nice bouncer, who suggested the filet mignon sliders at $23 a plate. My girlfriend and I decided to go with his recommendation. Dinner came, now listen I don't give out 5 stars that much but this place is a diamond in the rough. The sliders are a great size and the filet was perfectly done by the chef with nice flavor. The onion ring toppings were thin and drizzled with a horseradish which had a perfect blend of bite and sweetness. The French fries were thin, small with a nice crisp, I could not stop eating them. The staff was very attentive, easy to address and professional. This is a great sports bar with fantastic food ranging from salads to steaks and not to mention the rum fruit punch was perfectly poured. Hats off to the owner, chef and staff. I will definitely return when business brings me back into the area. read more

I usually go to Jack's because of the atmosphere and good food. We have gone many times and always received great service. Our friends wanted to take us out, so we suggested Jack's. I was never so embarrassed in my life, it was a horrible, horrible experience. We were seated right away, and our server, Andrea J came over and took our drink and appetizer order. Appetizers came out and were delicious. We had finished our apps and still had no drinks ,after 15 minutes we had to go to the bar and wanted to know what the problem was. Server never but the drink order in...she also never brought us any waters that we asked for. Finally she comes back and takes our dinner order and in a short time all food came out except one meal (there were 4 of us). It was kind of strange because I ordered the same exact thing as my friend. When they were all done with their meals the last meal finally came out. Naturally we declined it because we were all ready to leave...the manager kindly put it in a to go container and said he took it off the check and we could take it home. I own a business and understand how hard good help is to get BUT if you put someone out there that is going to do a disservice to tour establishment, I'd rather go short handed! Been going to Jack's for 18 years. And in 18 years I have never gotten a bad meal. I have never eaten better baby backs and I have traveled extensively in Texas and the Kansas Nebraska area. While everything there is good, including the baby backs, the prime rib sandwich is absolutely outstanding. Both the pizza and the wings are to die for and even the pretzels and cheese plates get cleaned before going back to the kitchen. It is also a good place for children. There are some games and skeeball to keep them occupied while waiting for dinner to appear. My grandchildren are 10, 8 and two and love it when we go to Jack's. So does my whole family. My visit from start to finish was terrible. Upon entering the restaurant I waited to be seated as the sign stated. I was there on an afternoon after lunch so it was not crowded and seating was plentiful. After waiting a few minutes to be seated, I took it upon myself to walk to the back and ask a waitress if I can just seat myself. So I did. Couple more minutes and a young man who seems to have been cleaning up. The young man brought over an unwrapped knife and fork seems innocent enough except I was kind of perturbed by the fact that he carried the knife and fork with his whole hand wrapped around the parts that I would eat off of, not to mention the knife was dirty. The waitress took my drink order in which I ordered a simple sprite, the sprite taste it like the end of the tap, and the tap would need to be changed. I ordered a steak sandwich, which was nothing more than an oversized very greasy cheesesteak. this thing has no flavor, but had plenty of grease. At least I ate most of the fries. I knew that I was going to have the Sandwich boxed up only to throw it away later on because it was just that horrible. Oh, I failed to mention that I was supposed to eat this horrible greasy mess without a napkin until the waitress brought over napkins and a wrapped set of utensils. One would think that everything would be OK from this point on but when I got the check I was surprised to see that my order had gone from $23 to $53. I knew right away that that greasy mess of a sandwich was not $53 and it wasn't hardly even worth the 23 but I sure as hell was not going to pay $53. Turns out she gave me somebody else's bill by mistake. Thankfully they rectified it right away and they were able to reverse the charges on my card. This was my first time and will only be my only time at this restaurant. read more
