Jacks pizza (at 2001 McHenry Ave Modesto, CA 95350 United States) was very rude and unprofessional. On the website it says they close at 9:00 pm but according to the rude, unprofessional staff they close at 8:30. When bringing up the website and google, they said it's wrong and we need to leave at 8:20. The Las Vegas Raider vs the Los Angeles Chargers had an amazing game and went into OT and they kicked us out telling us no we couldn't finish our last pitcher of 805 or be able to finish the game because he needed to go home. HOWEVER, they sat inside while watching it when they kicked us out. Around 8 o'clock the older guy was cleaning up and picking up our plates and said we are closed . Which was beyond unprofessional and made us uncomfortable for the fact that he was in our face with no mask. Plus, when getting a soda you can't get a refill with paper cups but only ONE refill with a plastic cup. Their wings were straight from great value. Also, negative stars all around for everything. Unfortunately, I had to put a star which is ridiculous. FIX YOUR WEBSITE AND YELP IF YOU ACTUALLY CLOSE AT 8:30!! Honestly one of the best pizza joints around! Good Food. Good beer. Good people. I have always been treated very well here. It is a good atmosphere...many tv's and arcade games. Excellent tasting pizza and I had a wonderful cheeseburger! Yes I'm a bug. eater...The burger was huge, the meat was done perfectly and I am picky!!! The fries were not small like Mcd's but not steak fries. I had to add salt but they went well with my Burger. I don't drink but sat at the bar, good place for pizza And beer! And a burger OF COURSE. Staff were attentive, nice and the owner on his game. Hands on guy who cares about his customer and the food! Thanks man keep u the place and ill be back for more. Was pleasantly surprised at how good the pizza was. The atmosphere was not what I would have expected, it was not bad, just not what I expected. Overall it was clean and good food. Bathrooms only have an air dryer so if you don't like touching handles, well...But the pizza is better than most chains. Will likely be back when we are over this way. :) read more

It was my first time going to pick up a doordash order and their customer service was horrible. I asked for the order and they barely started making it. After twenty two minutes I asked them if it was ready and one of the girls gave me a dirty look and asked me why I don't have a bag to keep the food warm. She went on and on about how they're going to get a bad review on how the food is cold because I don't have a specific bag. On my way out I saw the same girl working on dough without gloves on. The new owner is SO much more friendly than the previous one. My favorite thing to order has got to be a cheeseburger add bacon with a side of potato wedges instead of fries. The burger patties are so thick and wonderful, if I had more time on my lunch break I'd stop by all the time. Place is always clean and I love the paint job! It's definitely improved. read more

My fiancé and me used to really enjoy coming here a few years ago. Today we decided to try it out after several years, and it seems to have gone downhill dramatically since then. The staff were absolutely rude, the food made my fiancé sick, and it was just a very bad experience in general. We will not be coming back here ever again nor will we recommend this place to any of our family or friends. There are far better pizza places around town then this place. read more

Attempted to order from door dash, but the prices were apparently wrong. Jack's couldn't be bothered to call me and get approval to charge me more, but my dasher did..... which Jacks refused. We come here for the pizza buffet, on mondays. They always ask us our preference and start a pizza when we pay even if pizza is already out. It has been packed inside and we never waited more then 5 minutes for new pizza. They have great pick up deals. Its always hot and never disappoints. Best pizza in the area and can't beat the prices. The staff is kind, and even when we dont come in for a month they remember us. Very happy we found this place. read more

I ordered thru slice love the app but when food came we were disappointed the pizza was good a bit too greasy but maybe it's the pepperoni? And I paid 2.99 for fries and they gave me 10 fries lol like come on at least fill my little container! I also bought potato wedges 8 for 3.99 I got 2 big ones and the rest were small. Due to really poor bookkeeping, this business in Manteca California did not charge my debit account for about 6 months, then without personal notification they charged my card retroactively. While the charges were bona fide and accurate, the financial burden of all charges hitting me at the same time was rather troublesome. Allegedly, the business had changed owners, somehow in the transition they screwed up and did not charge many folks accounts real-time so the retroactive charges affected many many people, with varying amounts of negative and detrimental impact. So my question is, " is there a time limit and/or how far in the past can a business legally and retroactively charge your account"? Did anyone call me?? NO! Did anyone explain what tjhey were doing to my account?? NO!! By the way, the Manteca Bulletin article regarding this matter was useless and biased towards the "poor owner"..! Went here yesterday on a Sunday first thing I noticed the doors when you walk in looked like they have never been cleaned. Where they take your order was not clean at all by the calculator... Tables were dirty we had to clean theme off are self. Cups they gave us were not clean we had to ask for new ones and the new ones they gave us were also dirty no ice for your soda so u have to drink hot drinks, Didn't drink anything salad bar also dirty not sure how this place stays in business must have a lot of take out orders. DON'T BOTHER! I went for the lunch buffet. MISTAKE! Sat there for 45 minutes waiting for a good pizza. Everything there was covered with onions or jalapenos. Finally a Hawaiian came out. It was gone in 30 seconds. People were going up to the buffet and walking away with empty plates. I went to the counter and waited a few minutes for anybody to even notice I was there. Finally I asked if anything fresh was coming out. "It takes time," he said. I said, "I've been here for 45 minutes and you've put out one pizza." I waited for a few minutes and he brought out a pepperoni pizza covered with jalapenos. I have never been to a pizza buffet where there was no pepperoni pizza! There was a lady there with her small children. She looked at what he was putting out and just walked back to her table. I asked for my money back and he refused. I left an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet hungry! I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!! We came in here on a Sunday to watch the second game of the Warriors vs Cavs finals and to my surprise it wasn't packed. We got greeted right away and got a good run through of the menu by one of the workers who was really nice! There's a variety of appetizers, pizza, burgers,calzones and a salad bar. Also great selection of draft beer. We ordered a medium half and half pizza with a beer and a drink and it came out to be around $30 dollars. (A tad expensive for a medium pizza I think) the pizza was really good almost comparable to mountain mikes pizza. Although the place a great and the workers super nice it was weird to see how some people walked in and got hooked up with free drinks or such. Some guy (not sure if he's a worker there) walked behind the register and just took money out the tip jar and went to smoke outside. In also witnessed a customer bring up some kind of cigarette or vape to the front and the employees by the register and inhaling whatever it was right then and there...? (Weird) Even though some things seemed sketchy to me it's a great place to watch sporting events especially if you're a raider fan and the pizza is great as well! read more

I've ordered from here a few times after finding them on Yelp and I've had hit or miss experiences. Last night was a huge miss. I ordered their special that comes with a large pepperoni, appetizer, cheese bread, and a soda. Well it took over 2 hours to get to me. When I called after the hour and a half mark they said that the driver had left a long time ago and should be there any minute. Needless to say, we got $30 worth of cold and old food. The pizza was decent enough given the fact it sat around in some guys car for an hour. Won't be ordering from them again. Very disappointed. I wish I could go back and unspend that $30. read more

Alright so let's start with I read a review from 2 months ago that stated they were out of soda, this is still true! They charged me for a soda THEN told me they were out of "some" of the flavors, no! They are out of ALL but raspberry tea and hi c. Now moving on, so I'm pretty sure they serve digorno pizza, I didn't see boxes but, it looks like it, tastes like it, but it has odd combinations, like onion and sausage, or pepperoni and jalapeño. And for the buffet there was 1 or 2 pizzas up at a time, one was soggy. It's a mess, it's poorly run, and a waste of money, sub par at best. I don't even think it deserves 1 star. read more

We love going here as a family. We love their buffet hours. The lady (owner maybe) always ask what pizza we would like if there isn't any out under the warmer. My kids love it there. We love their pizzas. I do miss their old deal where you buy two adult buffet you get one child free. I celebrated both my son and daughter birthday there. Good times. read more

First time here.....just have to say the service was awesome! The crew was inviting.....they helped us with ordering. We tried their insanity bread!!!!!!omg so so so good. If you love spicy ....this is a dream for you ...all in a serving. The pizza it's self was ok...it was a different type of pizza. Not as cheesy because they put the cheese on top of the ingredients. OUTSTANDING! we went there for my sons birthday party (25+ people) and it was on point!!! They women behind the counter offered suggestions on pizzas, helped with any questions, helped set up tables, I mean they went above and beyond! All the pizza's were great!!! This place was a huge disappointment, from the food to the restaurant itself. I'll start with the food. We ordered insanity bread, a small pepperoni pizza, and a kobe beef burger. The insanity bread was ok. When they brought it out, the server asked if we would like ranch dressing, and I said that would be great. He brought back two small cups to the table and told us we could get the ranch dressing from the salad bar. When I went over to the salad bar to get it, none of the dressings were labeled, so I had to go ask which one was ranch. The burger was just ok. All it had on it was lettuce and thousand island dressing. Apparently the grilled onions didn't make it onto my burger. It just didn't seem very flavorful, so I ended up eating only half of it. The pizza was just ok - I've had better, and I've had worse. After we had eaten, I wanted to go wash my hands. I was a bit surprised to find a bunch of supplies, including a toilet seat (!), stacked up right outside the door of the women's restroom. I looked down the hall, and I was very surprised to see a bunch of 2-liter bottles of soda stored right outside the men's room. To me, this is not the place to be storing food or any other supplies. The whole restaurant just seemed unclean. The restaurant is also very noisy. When we first got there at 5:30 on a Friday night, there was only one other person in the restaurant, but the volume from all of the TVs, the radio playing, and a man behind the bar who was either the manager or owner (I'm not sure which) bragging loudly about the restaurant to a customer at the bar, made it almost impossible to carry on a conversation. read more

My husband and I came for dinner tonight and the pizza is amazing but it took nearly 40 mins for us to get our pizza. On top of that, the lettuce at the salad bar was FROZEN, and we waited 15 mins for them to bring us ranch. Like I said, the pizza was great but hard to get past the other things. read more
