I'd seen this place after shopping at Elba's butcher shoppe and wanted to try it. It's a walk up spot with outdoor seating. The ice cream side was closed so couldn't try the float. Had a cheeseburger and onion rings. Hubby had a "loaded" hot dog. Both were good with a nice batter on the onion rings. I wouldn't put onion on my burger next time though. They put a whole slice of onion...too much for me. But I would eat here again! read more

This place is the worst! The owners, managers, employees and food suck! They take advantage of very low income people by paying only a fraction of their worth. Hiring and paying employees under the table well below minimum wage to fluff up their own pockets. The food is very low grade and poorly prepared and served out of a building that is old and outdated. The bathroom is something from a horror show and not clean enough for my dog to use. Wow this place is great. Just a little drive in on the side of the street but they have the best food and milkshakes you could want. My big brother and I had a cheeseburger and fries and it's definitely fresh hamburger not frozen and my aunt an uncle had the chuckwagon sandwich which is a chicken fried steak sandwich which was also very good. The chocolate banana shake I had was off the hook probably one of the best I've had. The onion rings were great the fries were crispy and the service was quick just how I like it. How in the world did Jack's get 5 stars?? Fries could use improvement. They're gross. Opt to skip. Hamburgers are okay but nothing special. A simple, local hamburger and ice cream joint that is still going strong. It's amazing really. They could improve they're quality. They could make a few little changes and would get lines and people ordering more. Not impressed. Honest review. I do like the outside tables and like the small, local feel.. Should stick to the ice cream part of Jack's. I have seen this place decline in food quality and customer service over the years. It is because of this that my last visit was about 6 months ago before today and I had gotten worse. Fries were tiny and soggy - I've never seen fries this small; a new supplier must be used for onion rings because they used to have nice a beer battered type or something similar to now having so bland and small tasting of all bread and no onion; burger-well small with minimal amount of any condiments requested. Milkshake was nice. In fact the milkshake gets 5 STARS. Would go here for ice cream over the McD and DQ in town any day of the week , hands down. Seems like they are trying to reduce their food costs but impacting quality. It's also 2020, so let's get away from the cash only policy already. read more

We've been to Jack's multiple times and normally it's always good, no complaints. But today, was totally different. We got our food $42.50 worth, and parked down towards the end of the parking lot & we ate in my truck. My daughter decided she didn't want her 2 hot dog buns, so I tossed them out for the birds or stray animals. My son took our trash to the trash cans and we were getting ready to leave when this woman in a hot pink Jack's T-shirt approached my truck with a hateful look on her face, holding the 2 hot dog buns in her hands, and sharply asked me, "DID YOU THROW THESE OUT?" I said replied, yes. She quickly and rudely asked me, "WHY?" I said for the birds or stray animals. She said, "THIS IS TRASH!" I replied, it's just bread, the birds or strays will eat it. She snapped, "I DON'T WANT ANIMALS IN MY PARKING LOT!" I said, ok but you could have been polite and not so rude about it. As we were driving off she started yelling at us. Mind you I had my 4 young children with me as this woman was putting on a show yelling at us. I will NOT return to Jack's ever again. I'll take my money, and my family elsewhere. read more

Good quick food in a small area. Very cheap and affordable. I love their corn dogz and onion rings. The ice cream is delicious as well.

Quality is poor service even worse. It shouldnt take over 30 mins for two hotdogs and some dry fries. Ridiculous.

Needed a quick bite to eat after finishing laundry, and Jacks was right across the street. With great review on google and cheap prices, the hubby and I decided to try it. We paid $12 for the two of us (two cheeseburgers, two fries, and a drink to share). This restaurant is a little odd if you aren't used to it. You don't go inside anywhere. There are two windows you can walk up to under an awning, one to order and one to pick up, which is a pretty neat little set up. They provide a covered space for eating outside and drink machines if you'd rather not have fountain drinks. There are no prices on the board that show what they have to serve. When we picked up our sandwiches, there was lettuce and tomato on it. We were asked if we wanted mayo, mustard, and ketchup, but never the tomato and lettuce (which neither of us like on our burgers). The burgers tasted good, but were super thin. It definitely was not what I expected from a place of high reviews on google. The fries also had ZERO seasoning. Thankfully, they did give us salt and pepper packs in the bag. Overall, we were both unimpressed. The folks working were very nice and pleasant to talk to. However, for the money, I'd rather spend the extra few dollars to go to Dairy Queen around the corner for much better quality. read more

There is nothing overwhelming about it. Concrete picnic tables and walk up window. Cash only. Basic burger bar menu. I rate it so high because the food is something i always look forward to. This place has been around for over 30 years and it is family owned. I ate there for the first time in years today. The hamburger was grilled and really good, but the patty was very thin and small . The fries were small also, but I was given a lot of them. Pepsi products and no refills. Per the menu, they have hotdogs, sandwiches and ice cream. You order and pick up at a window and you can eat outside at the tables. For a hamburger, fry and small drink, it was 6 bucks, cash only. read more
