Comfort food option in Downtown [Roseville CA] Stopped by for a late lunch. The menu was inviting and it took awhile for me to decide. Luckily, it was a slow day. This is a counter service restaurant so we order at the counter and will be given a buzzer when the food is ready for pick up. I chose the Mushroom Burger. Grilled mushroom, lettuce, tomato, swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing cooked just the way I like it. There's a variety of other offerings including salads, sandwiches, hot and cold subs, grilled chicken sandwiches, burgers and wings. You can choose fountain drinks or canned sodas. Booths and table seating available. Personally, I like sitting at one of the tables by the window. It's a little elevated so watch your step. Located in Old Downtown in Roseville. We stopped by for a quick lunch before meeting up with my sister and brother-in-law. My hubby ordered for us: Hot Pastrami, Philly Cheesesteak, Kid's Hot Dog, Kid's Cheeseburger and Minute Maid Lemonades. I thought my pastrami sub was decent, hubby forgot to ask for mine on wheat. He really enjoyed his philly and our daughters enjoyed their epic sized kids meals! And yes they took bites before I could get a pic lol! 4/5 stars! Friendly staff, low prices and good selection. K.I.S.S. in full effect here. Keep it simple, silly! Their menu is very simple, making it easy to find something yummy. TVs are a nice touch, go 49ers! I normally like dining here. However, I have to share the recent experience. Asking for a plain cheeseburger with everything on the side should not be difficult. As I normally do. However, in my most recent experience, I felt rushed and misunderstood. As a result, my cheeseburger came out with everything that I didn't want on it and none of the stuff that I did want on it. I'm gonna give them more stars than I feel I should because they don't normally do this. The food was pretty good! I enjoyed the Cordon Bleu chicken sandwich, while my husband had the Philadelphia cheesesteak. Plenty of meat and insides. Little it excessive on the mayonnaise, but that's OK. We ate outside. It was a perfect day outside. The restaurant is cute and cozy. The service is a bit dry. I felt kind of like I was at the "soup nazi" kitchen from Seinfield. She didn't smile, or help with what to order. Just stood there with a blank stare ready to write our order down and made me feel like I needed to hurry up and order. She didn't say anything rude, there was just no smile or helpfulness. Now the food - yum!!! I ordered the medium Philly cheesecake sandwich for my hubs and I with curly fries- the sandwich, it was so tasty! The whole thing just melted in our mouth. The cheese was perfect, the onions were tasty, the mushrooms (I do not like mushrooms) but wow, even those were good! The only thing I would prefer is more meat in the sandwich. What a delicious sandwich though! It is a must get! The fries were a tad greasy but were still eaten. The kids ordered a burger and curly fries- burger was good, fries were a bit on the cool side. A "hot" sandwich I believe it was the railroad- nothing about this sandwich was warm or hot but it was tasty. The other two kiddos got chicken strips and fries which they said was very good (two chicken strips per kids meal, comes with fries and a drink.) they have a little counter where there is ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, peppers and pickles! I was in the area last night for a Christmas performance with my daughter's dance studio and wanted to eat something close by. I remembered coming here about 20 years ago when I would do work at the old antique mall that used to be across the street. I remember this place being pretty good, but now not so much. I got a western crispy chicken sandwich, and a small order of wings. Although the wings were cooked well, they were not good. The sauce wasn't good, and the quality of the chicken was not great. Same with the chicken sandwich. The chicken was low quality, and just overall a mid quality sandwich. My daughter's curly fries were good, but ive never had a bad curly fry. It was nice coming back to this place to try it, but I don't think I will be back. read more

I eat here once or twice a week for lunch. The lemon soup is delicious fresh cut french fries and the pork gyro are my go to dishes here. This place is a great spot for tourists, as it's affordable, you get a lot of food, the staff give great service, and the inside ambiance is small, but exclusive. What annoys me about every visit (5 times) is how stingy they are with there ketchup packets!!!! When i order a family size, they usually give me 4 little packets and I have to ask for more. The place stunk like old socks my friend said. Her $7 chicken sandwich was smaller and less significant than any fast food drive-in and we could barely see the patty! For that $ it should have been on an artisanal roll and NOT a smooth small bun that they sell in 9packs at Safeway! My bourbon steak was...some weird chipped beef on a dry roll for $12. This place is awesome!! Very clean and welcoming inside. The service was fast and friendly too! My wife and I stopped in on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. We moved to the area about a year ago, making our rounds through the local restaurants, and this place is definitely one we'll be returning to. I still prefer their burgers to any other restaurant in the valley. On any sandwich or burger you can "combo" the order and for a bargain price add a huge order of fries and a unlimited refill drink. Walked in here as other businesses next door were closed and so happy that we did! The food here is off the charts good! I got the hot Italian steak sub which was warm and so soft and delicious. My sister got the Chicken cordon bleu which was also delicious with a more crunchy texture from the bread and the veggies in it. My mom got the shrimp and avocado salad which was not what we expected as it was the cold cocktail shrimp and some sliced avocado on like the prepackaged salad mix but it wasn't too bad. I ordered their large Philly cheese steak sandwich with garlic fries. My daughter ordered a bacon cheeseburger with regular fries and we both had a soda. We also shared an order of hot buffalo wings. Came out to 34 bucks which I felt was a tad too pricey. The food was all really good. Seasoned well. Cooked well. There was a good amount of steak in my Philly cheese steak. The cheese and mushrooms and onions were well balanced. The steak was tender and flavorful. The onions and mushrooms were sauteed nicely. The bacon cheeseburger was perfect per my daughter. She said their bacon was amazing. The wings reminded me of the wings from hooters. Very very similar. I liked them but know some guys that don't care too much for those wings.
