I've been coming to this location with my family, friends and by myself for quite some time now. The food is delicious always. The service is usually incredible. My problem here is with one of the servers. I've held back from addressing this issue for a lil bit now as we were told to simply just request a different server. Doesn't always work out that way. Sometimes they seat you, your party gets there and bam you have the rudest server in that whole establishment. My issue is with the gal named patty who is a server here. Not only did I recently observe her being extremely rude and wayyyy out of line to her co workers the other day but she refused to make me a drink that they serve with alcohol in it called the "gator juice" but with NO alcohol in it. Simple you just charge me for the gator juice but don't add the vodka, MIND BLOWING....i know. She's not friendly and honestly I'm not so sure she belongs in this industry. I've heard her yelling and talking down to girls she works with and I was so surprised she wasn't fired on the spot for that kind of behavior in that atmosphere. Everyone else is amazing when it comes to service and overall getting along and treating each other with respect. Again...the FOOD IS SO DELICIOUS. My husband and I visited the Foothill location on Sunday, July 5, and were seated in Britney's section. I wanted to take a moment to share what an incredible experience we had. Britney was genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive. She truly made our morning! It's becoming increasingly rare to find both outstanding customer service and someone who genuinely enjoys taking care of their guests, but Britney exceeded every expectation. As managers ourselves, my husband and I recognize exceptional employees when we see them, and Britney is absolutely one of them. She is a true asset to your team, and because of the experience she provided, we'll absolutely be returning as loyal customers. We went back for hubby'a birthday breakfast. He was somewhat disappointed. He ordered the Mississippi skillet which is ham, crisp, bacon, sausage, bell pepper, onions, and mushrooms topped with Monterey Jack cheese with red potatoes and scrambled eggs. It was mostly potatoes and little protein. He was supposed to get complimentary beignets. These never appeared. We agreed that the peach tea was bad. There were peaches in the bottom of the glass but all we could taste was cinnamon. Hubby ordered his with unsweetened tea but the server brought a glass with a sugared rim. My friend and I stopped for breakfast for the first time at Huckleberry's and we were so happy we did! Our server Tracy was an absolutely the best ever! She gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and answered every question we had about the menu. My friend is allergic to spicy foods and asked about the sausage spice level, Tracy went to the kitchen and got her a sample, which was very considerate of her. With the sample tasted she decided on the rib eye steak and eggs. I selected the chicken fried steak. The food was amazing and gravy was the best I ever had! The potatoes with peppers and onions is out of this world cooked to perfection. We both selected the huckleberry muffins which are awesome, very delicious. I came here for my mom's birthday brunch since we used to visit their other location and always enjoyed it, so we gave this spot a try since we had a bigger group and needed easier parking. Luckily this location had that covered! The decor was cute and gave off fun bayou vibes. They even had a little area to buy merch which added to the charm. The staff were friendly and did a decent job, though we had to flag them down a few times. With a bigger group, that kind of thing happens, so no biggie. The portions for both food and drinks were generous. The drinks were a little too sweet for my taste, and overall, the food just wasn't super memorable this time around. I tried one of the pastries and it was a bit dry, but thankfully they served the apple filling on the side and it was delicious, it helped balance it out. If I hadn't been to their other location before, I might have written it off completely. The prices were higher than I expected, but the food was good. Kind of reminds me of a blackbear diner but seems to be more expensive. I do like the Huckleberry theme because I like huckleberries so had to get a huckleberry muffin for later. I liked the peach tea which is customizable and comes in a huge jar, our server was great and checked on us often and also gave us time and space to talk. We have always had good visits here, but this most recent one definitely raised the bar, thanks to Alyssa who is super welcoming and friendly. She was extremely helpful as she engaged with my indecisive child to whip up the breakfast of her dreams! I call your "happy wife happy life" and raise you a happy teenager. I got the New Orlando Skillet and it was super big and delicious. The creole sauce on top of the potato, egg, sausage, cheese, mushroom, and cheese made everything better. It reminds me a little of salsa. I as also able to try the fried green tomato and it was the best. I usually hate tomato but this was barely have any heavy tomato taste. Came on a Saturday morning and while there was a good amount of people, we only waited 5 minutes for 2 of us. The bayou theme feel was the same, but the layout here is more tight and sectioned off. My bestie ordered a Bloody Mary & the bayou style catfish with gumbo. She liked the flavor of her drink and thought the balance of alcohol was just right. She really enjoyed her meal & found it all tasty! I got a coffee & California Benedict with potatoes, added onions and bell peppers. The coffee was fine. I was a little disappointed with my meal. There was still some rawness to the onions & peppers in my potatoes. I also found the flavor of my Benedict lackluster. The tomato added a firm veggie texture, but didn't bring anything flavor-wise. When I was more than halfway done, I remembered & realized I didn't see or taste any balsamic drizzle as described on the menu. Maybe that would have made a difference, but I was already finishing up. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences we've had, and it's not something we can overlook. We ordered beignets, which arrived with a hair in them. I ordered a coffee, and the coffee mug had smeared lipstick on it, clearly not clean. When I requested a replacement, the second coffee mug had a permanent stain inside it. The food itself came out cold, and after eating about half of a breakfast burrito, I discovered a piece of plastic wrap cooked inside the burrito, which is completely unacceptable and concerning from a food-safety standpoint. To add to the frustration, one of the meals was supposed to come with a biscuit, but instead we were served sourdough bread. This wasn't a minor mix-up--it showed a lack of attention across the board. Management did reduce and remove some items from the bill, which we appreciate, but the number and severity of issues made the experience irredeemable. Cleanliness, food safety, and basic order accuracy are non-negotiable for a restaurant. With so many problems in a single visit, we will not be returning. We walked in at 10 AM on Saturday morning and were sat in a booth right away. By 11, there was a waiting list. I came here on a saturday morning with my very cute date. I'm a big fan of their EG location so it was a nice treat to swing by one of their spots in Roseville! I ordered the cajun benedict, which was flavorful and delicious. However, there was a small piece of wood as well as a big chunk of eggshells in my dish (which unfortunately landed inside my mouth both times and wasn't noticed until the second chew) Despite that, the food was great and the service was even better. Our food came out way faster than the location in EG, and our server was attentively sweet. My boyfriend ordered the dixieland steak melt, which had a bbq sauce mixed in with the filling. I could tell he wasn't the biggest fan because of the bbq sauce, but I'm sure it would've been a great sandwich without it. My potatoes came with onions and bell peppers, and our server didn't make aware to us that there was a .75 cent extra charge for it ... :( it was still a great add-on nonetheless. She ordered the Create Your Own Omelet while I had the Huck's Combo ($9.79) -- flapjack (or waffle or French toast), 2 eggs and bacon (or choice of sausage or ham). Also, a glass of Strawberry Lemonade. It came in sugar rimmed mason jar and it was sooo good. With my daughter the second time and she really liked The Garden Skillet. This has very quickly become our favorite place for breakfast/brunch. We came in once when they first opened to see what this location was like (I had tried the Fairway location before and it was okay, and my husband had tried the Antelope location and was pretty disappointed) so I will say we didn't have very high hopes going in. We were pleasantly surprised and continued coming back to try different things off the menu. The service is always wonderful. The staff is very friendly and seem to genuinely make an effort to get to know everyone. The inside is decorated nicely, with a lot of seating, and kept very clean. My only complaint would be that the booths can be a little tight and they don't move, so if you're bigger it can be a tight squeeze. We have explored a lot of the menu and while there are some standout dishes, nothing we have tried has been bad. I do always go back to the Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders or California Chicken (minus the cheese and buttered bun) while my husband goes back to the Cajun Benedict. We have been here far too many times (my birthday, our wedding day, countless dates) but we will certainly be back soon. read more

After our first visit here all I can say is wow. The decor is warm and welcoming and the menu had a dozen great looking choices. I normally don't try to order special but I asked if they could sub out the fried green tomatoes for the English muffin and replace my potatoes will avocado. The result was incredible! The best Benedict in my 54 years of trying. The fried green tomatoes were crispy and the eggs were cooked absolutely perfectly. To top it off the hollandaise sauce was exquisite. Smooth and creamy. I have been a longtime Hucks customer since they came to the sacramento area. I heard that they had a new location that replaced the Dennys that was on Foothills. I liked hearing that because they have a nice ample parking lot unlike the one on Fairway. Anyway, we brought my in-laws here for MIL birthday as she has never been. We came on a Saturday for lunch. They remodeled inside to match the Hucks decor but felt it be a little subdued compared to the one in Natomas so you don't quite get that Louisiana Bayou feel. I always get Melt. They seemed to really like their food but the biggest reason for 5 stars was our wonderful waitress waitress Desiree!! The comfy booths give your party privacy from fellow customers, the serving ware is delivered in its own rectangular package and the napkins roll off a table dispenser, never needing to ask for more napkins you HAVE to try the signature fried green tomatoes- so crispy perfect and the beignets will bring you back to New Orleans! But for the higher prices, why can Huckleberry not provide better quality regular coffee that tastes better than water with coffee like flavor? Only the truly ordinary and cheap cafes sell Farmers Coffee which tempts me to sneak in my own home brewed coffee or even from the fast food chain next door on Foothills Blvd. How much skill does it require to make grits without big lumps? And for anyone who has indulged in New Orleans authentic beignets, you will waste your money by ordering any from Huckleberry's. And for the higher prices for pancakes, waffles, and French toast, the option of real maple syrup should be included. For anyone who has never dines in New Orleans, then you will think this is a fancier version of Denny's or IHop. But an unimpressive experience for those of us better traveled. Supermarket doughnuts are more tender and fluffy than these leathery, dry, tasteless versionsof beignets at Huckleberry's. If prices are unavoidably rising, then at the very least hire cooks and chefs who are New Orleans trained. Last time I was there was in 08/12/25. I prefer to drive miles from where I live which is only one to two minutes from the Foothills Blvd. location. But being a chain, I assume the other one in Roseville and elsewhere will deliver same forgettable beverages, beignets and grits.
