A classic breakfast sounded good at the time... From the breakfast menu I chose the Juke Box Special but the friendly server suggested the Soldier Boy instead which was basically the same thing except this included grilled potatoes and only one pancake. The server urged me to try the potatoes... omgosh! it was so good, they were grilled and I love the crunchiness. Nothing fancy on the menu just good, ole' classic home cookin' and diner "comfort food." Breakfast is served all day. We were at a booth for four, and the booths are comfortable and clean. The layout of the restaurant is efficient, and perfect for the dining experience FSC is offering. And the food? Off the charts 5/5! I hadn't had pancakes in a long time, so I ordered the blueberry pancakes. The two pancakes were both massive and delicious. Fresh blueberries in the batter and on top, and they were perfectly ripe and flavorful. I can't envision anyone actually finishing all of it, but I was happy to take home leftovers. The pancakes were fluffy and light, among the best I have ever had. I also had a side of the house-cured bacon, which I requested crispy, and which arrived perfectly crispy and delicious. Mrs. K had the blue cheese burger and loved it. I was granted a taste, and I agreed. Juicy, prepared exactly as ordered, and served with exceptional fries that were crispy outside and soft inside. Our friends had various forms of eggs and bacon, including a dish FSC calls Beggin' For Bacon. The egg dishes looked perfect, and our friends confirmed they tasted as perfect as they looked. FSC gets a ton of 5-star reviews, and they deserve every one. We will be returning soon and often, and obviously, I highly recommend FSC for your next breakfast/lunch outing.

I also didn't like how it was assembled, it seemed kinda tossed on the bun and sent out. They are so busy here, and I wish they would just take a little extra time in the kitchen to make the food as great as the service. This is like a 3.5 star, with the great service and the decent food. Would I ever come here out of choice? Probably not. Would I throw up a big fuss if friends wanted to come here? Nah, I'd go without issue. Maybe I haven't found my meal here yet.

Sad day as I visited this restaurant to place an order to go. Greeted my a young lady who promptly told me that they don't do To go orders on the weekend. Obviously shocked, I thought to myself that I have never heard of a restaurant not willing to take an order to go! What? This was a Saturday morning with lots of open tables. I have to question their business model as this has never happened before to me. With Covid-19 still in full effect, not one of the none employees are watering a face covering today. No serious sanitizeing measures being taken between table rotations. Our waitress was rough and kinda cracked back and borderline rude. The cooks look filthy, as one was chewing food in his prep station, viewable from my table. My personal favorites are the California Benedict, the Chicken and Waffles, and the Chorizo Scramble. The ownership and staff are amazing and I highly recommend this place. We enjoy it so much I even bring my daughter here for breakfast on the weekends.

She mentioned to our waitress it had onions and barely any bacon in it, not complaining just mentioned it, to let the cook know. Now it's been my experience the waitress would apologize and offer some remedies... but no, her apology was half hearted and no mention of .. say, can we remake it or I can grab some extra bacon for you... no not what I would expect from the Waffle Shop! We've be been here many times, never an issue... well I hope it's just a newbie mistake and not signs of what's to come! We still like it here, it's still best breakfast in town... I'm lowering one star just to grab management attention, maybe a bit of training or pep talk to the staff, I'm not mentioning the waitress, no need for that... yet lol. Samira was the server for the entire dining room and she was nice and friendly and always came at the right time to check on me. I had the Grilled Pork Chop which was two sizzling pork chops cooked and seasoned just right, delicious and flavorful. I requested for the hashbrown to be cooked a little extra crispy and it was perfection. The cafe is located in Lincoln at the Sterling Pointe Center shopping area. The menu featured classic American comfort food and breakfast is served all day. Tables and booths were available for seating. As soon as I walked in I was told that I could sit anywhere I chose. I've never seen food move through me with such speed and determination. Let's just say the bowl made a return appearance faster than I expected, and it wasn't pretty. To be fair, there are currently public health warnings about certain produce, including vegetables, berries, and cilantro, so I can't say with certainty what caused it. If any of those ingredients were involved, that could be the culprit. Either way, this restaurant should take a hard look at its ingredients, suppliers, and food safety practices to make sure everything they're serving is fresh and safe. The bowl tasted fine going down, but the aftermath was unbearable. I hope this was an isolated incident, but no customer should be spending the next hour making emergency trips to the bathroom after a meal. I sincerely hope the restaurant investigates and ensures their ingredients are safe, because this experience was one I'd rather never repeat.
