The menu has a plethora of selection! I arrived a little before 1:00p, not very busy on a Friday which was nice. I ordered the breaded pork chops which came with two pieces of meat. The meal came with soup or salad and also garlic bread. I chose the vegetable soup... man, that cup was pretty big and got me almost full. By the time my meal came I couldn't even finish one piece of the pork chops. I ate one piece of the garlic bread. The food was delicious and I enjoyed the mash potato/gravy. Went here with my wife, daughter, and sister for Father's Day and it was great. Wait wasn't long at all, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Came here with my family after soccer around 11am and were seated right away. It was super humid inside, but we decided to let that slide. Our server was friendly and took our order quickly. The menu was huge everything from breakfast and lunch to Mexican and even Chinese options. I ordered the club sandwich with fries and a side of ranch for dipping. The food came out pretty fast. The sandwich and fries were both really good, but the ranch wasn't my favorite plus, the first one had a big hair in it. Our server apologized right away and brought a new one, which I appreciated. We are still on a mission to try all the breakfast spots in the greater Sacramento area. Cue Country Gables. We stopped in a few days ago and ordered both lunch and breakfast. We were greeted immediately upon walking in to this strip mall location. We chose booth seating and were handed a giant menu. There were tons of options but I have to say the Chinese food section was a little odd. I opted for the broasted chicken and hubby chose an omelette. Service was stellar! Jessie was incredibly personable, good at her job, and just a wonderful, caring human being. It appears as though every employee was hard at work and dedicated to providing a positive experience. The food was both plentiful and delicious! There is some serious value here as well. While we don't live in the area, we will be back to sample some more options, just not sure about the Chinese food though. read more

We've been loyal patrons here for their delicious breakfast--there are plenty of options, and they serve one of the best Eggs Benedict in town. This time, we decided to try lunch, and oh my goodness, it did not disappoint! The broiled fried chicken with mashed potatoes was simply phenomenal. I had the breast and wing, and the portions were so generous that I couldn't finish my meal. The chicken was perfection--crispy and golden on the outside, while tender and juicy on the inside. Honestly, it's better than Cracker Barrel's fried chicken and mashed potatoes, and that's saying something! My husband opted for the Turkey Club sandwich, and he was equally impressed. The layers of fresh turkey, crispy bacon, and ripe tomatoes were so satisfying that he saved half of it to enjoy for dinner later. This place is an absolute must-visit if you're in Roseville. Another day of picking the perfect meal for my dad and if I'm not cooking it, I better get it from somewhere good! Country Gables Cafe had been a long-running, family-friendly American restaurant serving breakfast, burgers & classic entrees. Parking can be tight since they are best known for their breakfast and Broaster Chicken... (my two favorite things in the WORLD) and several businesses share the parking lot. Today, we decided we had to have the best chicken around... and not just any kind of chicken... Genuine Broaster Chicken!!! The meal comes with two breast's, two wings, two thighs, and two legs. It also has 2 sides of your choice. I think may potatoes & gravy and coleslaw are the most popular choices. You can choose from seasonal streamed veggies, fries, country potatoes or salad. We called in Jenny took our order. She said it would be ready in 25-30 minutes. We arrived about 20 minutes later and Jenny was bagging the last part of our order. I decided to order an extra man potatoes & gravy because I know my family well, haha! Jenny was outgoing, friendly, and fun to talk to as the restaurant was near closing time in the next hour and a half. She is almost too perfect for this job! Super amazing personality! There was plenty of seating throughout the restaurant and I at the breakfast bar. I loved that there were Christmas decorations throughout the restaurant! When I delivered food to my dad, we all couldn't help but eat the chicken right away! It was piping hot as well as the sides (piping hot, too!) We had perfectly delicious early dinner and my dad got to enjoy (again) a late dinner when he got home from his appointment. Easy to find from @Grounds at 7:45 AM. Got a parking spot right in front and was greeted by cute Halloween decor and a lovely waitress. We got to choose where we sat as there were only 3 parties inside. Had a hard time deciding between the eggs Benedict and NY Steak & Eggs, but went with the meat option. Very happy with my choice as it could have fed 2 people. I think most of their plates can! Medium rare cooked to perfection and paired well with the classic hash browns, sunny side up eggs, AND two pieces of sourdough toast that came out already buttered and darkly toasted. Country Gables Cafe, is a Roseville icon, and has been voted in the local newspaper as the "Best Breakfast in Roseville" many times over. I set out to see for my myself if Country Gables really serves the best breakfast in Roseville... As you enter the restaurant, you'll be greeted with a "Please Wait to Be Seated" sign, and seated by the friendly staff. Country Gables Cafe is truly an "old school" diner, as it offers a counter, tables and booths for your dining pleasure and comfort. The staff is super friendly, the dining room is comfortable and there are several video screens displaying local programs. Great dining on a late Sunday morning! On this late Sunday morning, it was a beautiful 65-degree day outside, so we chose to enjoy our brunch on the patio, overlooking Washington Blvd. I can't say the view is the most scenic in the world, but it makes for great patio dining. From the breakfast section of the menu, Claudia went with "Huevos Rancheros," as she loves anything "Mexican" when it comes to food. Hash brown potatoes, eggs over easy, grilled jalapeño pepper, a small salad along with Mexican hot sauce, and a small dipping sauce made for a perfect breakfast. My friend loved her breakfast! I loved looking at it, lol. I envied her breakfast, but I had lunch to enjoy... Oh yes... we both enjoyed Coors beer, served in a frosted mug, which works well for breakfast or brunch. From the "Sandwiches Burgers" section of the menu, I went with "Texas Sandwich," which worked out to be an amazing brunch selection. I agonized between breakfast or lunch, and after I settled on lunch, I went on to agonize between a burger or a sandwich, but I love the State of Texas, so the "Texas Sandwich" won my favor. The sandwich started out with two pieces of sourdough bread, which was my choice, as per our gracious host, Hunter. Rye, wheat or white bread was offered, but I went with sourdough, as I love it and it fits my character. The bread was buttered, toasted and grilled to perfection and topped with a generous portion of juicy, thinly sliced roast beef, cut in the true "Texas style." The beef was drizzled in thick, red barbecue sauce and topped with perfectly melted Cheddar cheese to make for an amazing sandwich. My brunch included a small cup of barbecue sauce, along with - not shown in the photo - a cup of "Ranch" dressing which worked out well for dipping. On the other hand... my brunch was so delicious that I didn't really need anything to enhance it, as my brunch was simply delicious. Claudia did use Cholula Mexican Sauce on her eggs, as she loves to add spice to her life. On the side, I enjoyed French fries, which were cut on the medium size, fried to a perfect light golden brown on the outside, but juicy, white and tender inside, which makes for the perfect fry. The chef at Country Gables Cafe has amazing talent, as both my fries, and my breakfast were simply delicious! Walked in to a diner that was about 1/3 full, as the hostess (older lady) walked us back I noticed that everyone seemed to have their meals already. The hostess took our drink orders, left, seated another couple, took their drink order and then didn't come back until it was to take our food orders. We had a window of about an hour for this meal and I was starting to get nervous just based on how things were going at this point. Ordered a breakfast special (eggs over medium, bacon, hash browns crispy and a biscuit and gravy) and the mini-me ordered chicken strips off of the kids menu, with hash browns instead of fries. Eventually she brought our water over but after that we waited... and waited... and waited.... The restaurant was quiet at this point as there were only a few seated patrons left. Eventually our food arrived. The hash browns were cooked just enough to be rubbery, definitely not crispy as ordered. The bacon was clearly pre-cooked because it was cold and dry. So I was baffled as to what took so long. Eggs can cook in under a minute if the grill is heated enough. I figured it must have been the chicken strips that took time but when I touched those they were barely warm to the touch. I kindly asked if it would be possible to give her my card to pay before we started in on our meals, as we were in a bit of a rush. The hostess obliged and when she got back she started in on how we had just walked in during a rush and so a bunch of orders had just gone in. I just just let her talk because this couldn't have been further from the truth, not only have I been a server but I also pay attention to my surroundings. We actually hit this perfect pocket of the breakfast crowd leaving and the lunch crowd being yet to arrive. We showed up just before 11am. I could see the kitchen window and the tickets. It was merely us and the couple after us, for the entire time we were there. Won't be making that mistake again. Too many other solid breakfast spots in town to waste time here. Had three different people serve us (seating, ordering, bringing food) - and that should've been OK. But nobody came back to refill coffee or other drinks. They don't know how to do eggs over hard. I wish they'd just said so and offered to do them some other way. What I got was two eggs, cracked and blended, then just left to sit in the pan until they were hard and rubbery. Basically an open omlette with nothing in or on it. They were real eggs though, not the egg mix used for scrambled eggs - that's a plus. The hash browns weren't hot enough to melt butter. Service was friendly, except when I asked about the eggs, the gentleman just said, 'yeah, sorry 'bout that.' Two stars = "Could've been better", and that's accurate. read more

I used to come here back in the mid 1990's and had not been back since. My it has changed. I was clued in when the special of the day was chicken curry. New owners are Indian who have added this. They advertise in true broasted chicken. The menu went on for days that it was hard to decide which always makes me wary because I think it loses focus for the restaurant. It is also hard to say what kind of restaurant they are. Menu is all over the place. Hubs ordered the fish sandwich and I ordered the ribeye steak sandwich. His sandwich was just eh. Tasted frozen. Chewy bread and nothing special fries. My steak was big but not great quality or flavor. The menu boasted onion straws but it looked more like soggy onion rings. Service was average. Prices fair. Food mediocre. I was a bit disappointed. If i ever come back, I will try something different. read more

Im from Danville and took my mother from Roseville to this restaurant. Jessica our waitress was super attentive and not just to us but watch her at two other tables. Another waitress was just as attentive on the other side of the room with her customers. Some young gentleman at the door opening greeting. The food was served perfectly, I had a hamburger my mother had eggs and pancakes. The table of eight people next to us , mostly ordered all the different eggs Benedict. I've been on the hunt for a place that served Broaster Chicken. There's only one other place that I know of that serves it and it is in Orange County. After searching a little bit, to my delight, I FOUND A PLACE! If that wasn't cool enough, it's 10 minutes from my house! The first time we came here, which was two days ago I ordered the 4 piece Broaster a Chicken. It was as good as I was expecting! Today it's all about Chicken & Waffles! I think I've made my point about the food. It's great! The service is great! As a family owned business, it shows how much love is behind the food. Our server Audri, that's right with an "i" greeted us with a warm smile and a very upbeat personality. If nothing else, she made our experience with the visit. Now let's talk about the food. If you are looking for a down to earth laid back spot this is a great option. Kids eat for .99 with an adult meal purchase. Waitresses are super friendly.
