Second bad experience in a row. We're done here. My normal salad has gone far downhill, except for it's price, 14.22 plus tip. The Beats on my salad were fibrous and bitter. The meat some of it was raw and some of it was charred and overcooked. The roasted candied walnuts I used to have on my salad are no longer. I was told this is due to allergies of some of the employees. Are you kidding me? And finally the dressing that used to be a delicious balsamic vinaigrette has turned into a bland dressing that does not even taste the same. We are done here. read more

SOOOOOO good! I used to come all the time for their Sonoma Steak sandwich, but they took it off the menu and only serve it every once in a while :( Either way, their food is delicious and, while the lines can get pretty long around lunch time, service is fast. read more

The build your own salad has a great selection of toppings. Urban fries are a must. Turkey plate is da bomb with mashed potatoes and gravy. Seasonal veggies are a gamble, I would look to see how fresh it is through the glass before ordering. Bring back the lemonade please read more

Eating at Jacks Urban Eats in person is great, but ordering to go are just multiple mistakes with our order. When I order extra tomatoes and bbq sauce I get none on my tri-tip sandwich, the fries we had were mushy and drenched in Greese (they used to make these fries perfect everytime) and multiple times ordering salads ingredients are missing. I called and spoke to Nicole, who is one of the managers and she was apologetic, but no mention during our conversation how this can be fixed. I asked her to speak to their staff about reading the order entirely and not to be in a huge rush to fill the order. Nicole did give a gift card whenever we can pick it up. First time ever eating here and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious their food was. My sister and I shared their Urban fries, I had their Club turkey and she had a Southwest salad. I'm lactose intolerant, and they put the wrong dressing in my order. I understand that things are a little crazy during covid, but you need to make sure all your stuff for to go or delivery orders is labeled properly. I got my food door dashed because I'm also working at this time and I dont have a long enough lunch to go over there and get it and make sure I'm getting the right dressing. I want to support this business during these difficult times, but I need to be sure that I can actually eat the food I am receiving. read more

I ordered a build-your-own salad and garlic fries. The salad was good but the sweet potatoes I chose as a topping were slightly raw and undercooked. The fries were really good and very garlicky as I expect them to be. My husband enjoyed the grilled chicken, vegetables and pesto potatoes he ordered but the potatoes didn't taste like "pesto". We don't really like the decor or ambiance at Jack's, they're trying too hard to be trendy or retro but it's not working, in fact it's a bit pretentious. The customer service was mediocre, nothing memorable and they forgot our fries. I reminded them twice and we finally got them toward the end of our meal. It was around 3pm so they weren't busy by any standard. Overall I'd rather go to Pluto's at the Galleria. They clearly do the cafeteria-style bistro thing better. read more

I ordered the tri-tip sandwich with Jack's fries through doordash. Tri-tip was very thick and meant for their platters. Not sure if there is an option where you can have it thinly sliced but that would be much better for a sandwich. Fries were tasty. I would probably just order something different if I were to order through here again. read more

What happend? I have always loved this place. My salad looks like a bunch of wilted stuff thrown into a to go plate. Mushrooms are so salty and tofu all burned and black. Then to make matter worse no salad dressing. The no dressing thing happens all the time but I deal but now actual ingredients and quality changed. Big bummer. read more

Let's start with the service. Absolutely terrible. These employees are running around all with the same blank expression and same clueless stare. No "be right with you" no "one moment please". Now to the food, you have "market vegetables" listed as a side. When I said I wanted that, I was charged $5.50 per vegetable (cauliflower and asparagus) that's $11 for ROASTED VEGETABLES. They were so overcooked they genuinely melted off of my fork. Ridiculous. When I paid and was given a receipt, I saw that I was charged $11 for a side. I said fine and went to eat it, when I saw how overcooked they were. I asked for a refund. After giving my reasoning, the blonde girl turned to her co worker and said "she needs a refund she claims its gross". I never used that word. But truthfully now I will. Your employees, your service, your ambiance, was absolutely repulsing for the price you're charging. Jacks in the fountains at Roseville has great service and now will be the only one I go to. Truthfully every single employee was rude. I am one to treat people how I want to be treated, but after how I was treated there, I know it's right to write this review. read more

Been here many times!!!!!! Fast service, good food! Patio tables seem to always be dirty I have noticed..... I don't like that you can't get a smaller salad or a half and half deal (half salad, half sandwich or soup). And the cashier that always seems to be there when I come at lunch, marilyn, has great people skills and always helps me with a smile on her face! Oh and the lemon thyme chicken is the best chicken I have ever had! I have ever bought enoughv to take home and meal prep before :) Turkey cran sandwich is bomb too! Whenever I'm feeling like some good, clean food (and don't have the time to cook), Jack's is where it at. Fresh, clean tasting, and you always leave feeling like you had a home cooked meal. Last time I was there I was helped by both Ethan and Rachel who were very friendly. My tri tip platter was cooked and seasoned to perfection, and the food was brought out before I even had time to sit down! Overall a perfect spot for a clean meal. If I have one complaint, I wish they would give slightly larger portions on the tri tip platter. Not worth losing any stars tho. Keep up the great work! read more

Good fresh and fast food! Staffs are helpful and pleasant, pretty much reflect Jack's casual ambient. Ordered a tasty Banh Mi sandwich with shredded pickled carrot, daikon radish, jalapeños, chopped cilantro and touch of red radish on thick strips of grilled steak. The smooth lime mayo oozes out at every bite. Good enough for nice simple lunch! The Urban Fries are crispy outside with spicy chili oil, blue cheese, red chili flake sprinkled on top with chopped herbs are very good! Haven't see any joint anywhere come close to the goodness of Jack's Urban Fries! To varies the taste between different foods, we have a small Turkey Tortilla Soup and this one can actually stand on its own. Will definitely come back to try some other dishes here soon. Enjoyed the various locations when I lived in Sac and now often visit when I pass thru the area. I am most fond of the fresh turkey with gravy and real mashed potatoes! Today I had a sandwich and for the first time my roll was dry and stale, just a bad day I hope and not a pattern. Others rave about the huge salad bar where you select just what your heart desires! Generally, I really like Jack's and I usually get the cesar salad with chicken. This time I got the turkey club and I thought it was really good. I asked the girl if I should get the chicken or turkey, she looks over at the turkey and says chicken. My daughter decides on the turkey, but only eats half. I ask her how was it and she was like ??? So I gave it a try and it was really dry. like suck the saliva out of my mouth dry. The fry were really good too. The service was good but I thought the customers were kinda rude. Food was good; when they finally got it right. They have a "portobello mushroom hamburger" on the menu but the staff didn't even know what it was or if they sold it. I ended up getting a classic burger (chicken) which was very good. They forgot my fries. My friend got the wrong order (he ate it anyway) but at least it was good. My visit to Jack's last night was the first time I've been to a restaurant for dine-in service since COVID-19. I was surprised to see that they were making no attempt to sanitize their tables and booths between customers. Just a quick swipe from a wet rag per usual bussing procedure. They had done a great job spacing their tables, requiring masks, etc... but I was a bit disturbed that the tables weren't better disinfected. As far as the food was concerned I have mixed reviews. Overall, the food everyone got looked great and was very good. The tri tip on the salad was grisly and tough, though, and much of it inedible. The meat is supposed to be their star and I found it very lacking. The sides were great, the turkey moist and flavorful and the salads very good. I don't plan to get the tri tip again, but would go back for other items. read more

All but one single time they have screwed up my incredibly simple order and only about 1 out of every 5 times do they serve with a smile. They're always rude and I'm sick of it. Jack's never disappoints. Perfect for a quick, hearty salad or a serving of turkey and mashed potatoes with gravy like mom used to make. This is our 'go-to' place when we're heading out to run errands or what not. This newest addition to the wildly popular local chain features a spacious dining room with high ceilings and a handful of tables outside - perfect for alfresco dining. And even though they've been open less than 24 hours as I write this, there was nary a glitch in their cafeteria-style, pay-at-the-counter, we'll-bring-it-to-you system. Service was fast, friendly and efficient and food was brought out as ordered and at the correct temperature. Deep sigh. Sometimes, it's the little things... I had the classic chicken sandwich and Hubby had an absurdly large steak salad with double meat and a side of garlic bread. Dinner for two came to 20 bucks. Can't beat that. I decided to get a sandwich from them today because I remembered they were pretty good in Sacramento, and now there is one right by my house in Roseville. But eh... The fries were okay. My soda was refreshing. The sandwich... The bread was probably the highlight of my sandwich and that's not saying much. I ordered a classic grilled chicken sandwich on sourdough with avocado. The chicken was pretty cold which was unpleasant, and the tomatoes and lettuce were not fresh. For 75 cents I got a small sliver of avocado that was only on one half of the sandwich. The service ... It was a long wait. The girl who was cashiering should definitely not be representing Jack's. She was pretty rude and kept transferring back from ringing and making food (maybe that's why she was in a bad mood). On the way out the door one of the guys did tell me by my name to have a good day, which was a nice touch. Customer service training 101! All this for ... 13, nearly 14 bucks. For one sandwich, fries and a small soda. Definitely not going back any time soon. read more
