Yes. Their eggplant sandwich called the "Veggie Sandwich" is very excellent. Though I'm a decent fan of eggplant, I'm really on board with the melty mozzarella they put on the sandwich. It's stringy. It's oozy. It's on point. This place also has excellent salads with many different options when you build your own. It's on the same level of quality and experience as Pluto's. The ambiance and the attire are comparable. It's an excellent, low-key place in Natomas with good food. The main issue for me is that I'm a vegetarian, so after about three trips, I've eaten everything on the menu. There's not many no-meat options. The sandwich and salads are a very nice option for Natomas. I just can't give it five stars; five stars are reserved for restaurants that I would go to any time. Good consistent quality of food, but the service by the managers are horrible. At two different times I've had an experience once with a female manager and a male manager- both need customer service training. My daughter requested the bread to be lightly toasted and it was not, so we asked for them to do it over. The manager came to my table, saying the bread is lightly toasted- but it was not- it was burned. There was no apology, just wanted to argue about what lightly toasted is and is not. The second time, we ordered urban family fries with our salads ( I am a regular customer and so is my family) and apparently they charge a couple bucks for an extra side of hot oil for the fries. I sent my son to the counter to request a side of hot oil for the fries because it was barely on the fries, and they wanted to charge us. The manager came to my table to tell me that asking for extra oil is a special order which costs more. Really- hot pepper oil?!! I am beginning to think the owners are not aware of the way the managers behave. I have never received such rude treatment from any other restaurant. Afterwards, I asked for my receipt and then the manager came up to the lady helping me and started jotting down my order as if he needed to prep his boss for his side of the story. Jack's, what the hell? I just left here paying over $9 for a small caesar salad with added carrots on it. No meat. What is that?! When I ordered it, I asked for a half caesar, which the salad lady made me. When I paid, it was $2 more than I was used to and said, "Oh, I had the half with no meat." To which the cashier responded, "We don't make half sizes anymore." This did not explain why I had a half sized salad made for me. Or why it costs $9 for a salad with like 3 toppings and no meat. Absurd. Your caesar dressing is the ONLY reason I came back here. I love it! It's delicious! All the food is delicious! But I, a reasonable and prudent producer and consumer, cannot possibly justify spending over $9 for a caesar salad when the grocery store is a stone's throw away. Been coming here for years. It uses to be one of my favorite spots to eat. But last few times it has been nothing but disappointment. The staff is rude and ignorant. I order the regular Urban fries. I love the cafeteria vibe. LOVE their onion rings and the fact that the roast their own turkeys. Cool place and they make everything in front of you. Great food. And ummm eat the onion rings, they're greasy and oh, so delicious! The batter is fabulous and they always fry them fresh mmmm, mmmm, mmmm. And I love me some ketchup but these little babies are AWESOME with ranch! Everything I've had here is good. Again, did I mention THEY ROAST THEIR OWN TURKEY! So awesome! All of their sides and soups are great too! They have a really cool assembly line of salad items which they will mix for you any way you choose. Pretty darn good if I do say so. read more

C'mon people, show the Natomas location some love, too... I basically come here for two things: 1) Salad 2) Urban fries If you're in the need for some healthy veggie-filled fare, I think it's absolutely worth the $7 for the full-sized salad. Pay the extra two dollars or whatever for some meat, too, if you're in the mood. I generally prefer the tri-tip, but the chicken is yummy as well. They have a zillion toppings to choose from (including marinated mushrooms that are fresh and grilled and absolutely delicious. I could probably eat a plate of those on their own), plenty of different dressings, three different kinds of greens, and they pick everything out and toss it all together right in front of you. What's not to like? Then, if the healthy feeling is getting overwhelming, balance it out with an order of urban fries (or garlic fries, if you'd rather go that route). Whoever decided to bring blue cheese, chili oil, and crispy fried potatoes together at last deserves a gold medal, a friendly pat on the back, and a lifetime supply of said fries. Soooooo good. I've been here twice and both times exceeded my expectations. I normally am not a fan of salad, but oh boy, their Thai Salmon Salad was amazingly good. The salmon was seasoning perfectly, the veggie was fresh and crunchy and the dressing was just right on. Their Cuban sandwich was yummy and so was the turkey veggie soup. I have been here multiple times and the food was great. However when I went today not so much.... I ordered two of jacks classics one chicken one turkey. My chicken was ok but it wasn't the same as I had remembered it last it lacked something. The turkey however was horrible.... It lacked meat and what little turkey that was on the sandwich was fat. It was inedible. I live really far so I should have checked it before I left but since it wasn't mine I didn't want to pick it all apart.... I mean who wants to eat a sandwich that's been picked over? Not me. I would have possibly given them two stars based on my sandwich alone but I had to deduct one because this is not the first time my order has been wrong and the number to there shop is voicemail only (is that even legal?) And its ALWAYS FULL!! So the only way to complain about a wrong order is to go back and that is a waste of gas. Bottom line is this place is expensive for things that you yourself can make.... But if you do decide to eat here check your food before you go or you'll be goin back.. read more

They cut the turkey right off the bone and it was juicy and yummy. Bread was perfect. I like the trendy, industrial atmosphere. And I like a busier and a bit noisier ambiance in restaurants these days because we have a 17 month old. It keeps her occupied and I don't have to worry about her squealing and laughing and bugging people. I also like the seating and the big booths. Comfortable. The second star is because the food has actually been okay The customer service at this location is the worst I've had in any Jacks in the Sacramento area. From Folsom to Elk Grove to the location in Loehmann's Plaza, I have come to expect decent service from Jack's. This location is the exception. I lived near this location and recently went to it again during lunch time on a weekend. I have consistently received eye rolls when asking for things like "no onion" or "mix of lettuce's". I understand hat Jack's is a quick casual place and don't expect exceptional service, but polite staff is not too much to ask for. I recently went to Pluto's and relatively speaking, it seems that Pluto is actually skimping on their food now. Especially when we're talking about the tri-tip on top of their freshly made salads. I got a heaping pile of perfectly flavored and tasting meat on my custom farmers green salad and was fully satisfied. Their prices are slightly steeper than Pluto's. (~$7.75 for a small custom salad with tri-tip, whereas Pluto's is in the upper $6 range), hence my preference for Pluto's. But I was actually quite delighted during my last visit. I've been to both the Folsom and Natomas locations - recommend Natoma both from the crowd and price perspective. I think they put a premium on the prices at the Folsom location. read more

Never fails to come here or any other location. Staff is always friendly. It gets busy so make sure you're prepared. I ordred my salad with field greens -- which ended up mostly tough pieces of romain that weren't even fully cut or torn. You know when you buy bag lettuce and it is 'icky'? So we're eating salad fast -- so we could get out of there by 9:00, when more than 3/4 of the way through salad when we realized no fries -- when my hubby asked, they hadn't even made them. LOVE their salads. Always get the tri-tip, which is usually cooked to perfection and tops the biggest salad ever (I even order the half salad and its still massive). I always get the build your own salad where you choose your choice of greens, dressing, and six toppings. Love that I don't have to ask for certain things I don't like to be removed like I do on most standard salads. They never put too much dressing, which makes me so happy. Have gotten some of their other food as well. The Mac and Cheese is really yummy and their fries are good, too. Brought my cousin here to eat after picking her up from the airport. She ordered the seasonal special which was a pesto chicken on ciabatta. She loved her entree and even indulged in a few Urban Fries with my husband and I :) I ordered the Southwest salad (substituting tortilla strips for broccoli)- I love that they can accommodate to this! A bunch of us were hungry and needed some fuel for the day, so we headed here to Jack's Urban Eats. With the sweltering triple digit weather of August in Natomas, CA, none of us wanted to eat anything too heavy. With the large selection of salads and sandwiches, Jack's fit the bill. Located in a shopping center off of Del Paso Road, the restaurant was bustling with the lunch rush when we arrived. If you've been to eateries such as Pluto's Fresh Food for a Hungry Universe, or even Whirlow's Tossed & Grilled, then you basically already know the drill of this restaurant. But for those of you who aren't familiar with these places, just come on in, grab a menu and scope it out the items while you stand in line. Once you've made your decision, your meal will be prepared in front of you, then you pay and seat yourself. I ordered the Jack's Classic sandwich with chargrilled chicken breast and my friend got the same, but with chargrilled tri-tip so we could try both. The sandwiches were flavorful, but a little skimpy with the meat portions. However, the carmelized onions and fresh-baked roll were standouts. My preference was the tri-tip, but he liked the chicken breast more. Our table shared a couple orders of garlic fries, which was a nice compliment to my sammie. Other friends ordered salads, and I have to admit that after seeing their meals, I had wished I ordered the same. Darn, next time,.. next time. So the verdict,.. a nice average rating of 3 Stars. I think that Jack's Urban Eats is a little on the pricey side for the sandwiches, but a steal for the salads that are large enough to be split. One of the few places that make it worth to Sacramento. After my graduation on Saturday, I knew to satisfy the hunger and heat, a nice yummy salad was in the works for me. A mixed greens with my favorite sides and their Urban fries are worth the extra few bucks. Sadly, this location doesn't hook it up like the one in Fair Oaks where the Urban fries are oozing blue cheese and spices. We LOVE Jack's!! It's soooo much better than Pluto's. :) We're a regular at this particular Jack's because it's close to our house. I normally get dark meat turkey as a sandwich or with my salad. They've replaced my dark meat turkey twice with white meat without telling me. Today, as I was waiting for my sandwich, a guy (manager?) comes to me and tells me that they don't have enough dark meat for my sandwich and asks if it's OK to use white meat. I was hesitant at first, but I really wanted my turkey, so I said OK. The guy promised that he'll make sure it's juicy for me, and it really was. I couldn't even tell there was white meat in my sandwich!!! You gotta make sure you get the Urban Fries when you come here. It's the bomb!! Very similar to Pluto's but a little more unorganized. Make sure you ask the people ahead of you which line they are in or you could be standing in the wrong line. The food is pretty good...portions are pretty good too. You could share a sandwich and fries with someone and still come out of there feeling full. During peak lunch hours it does get busy and it might be a little hard to find a seat but on a positive note they do cook up your food pretty quickly. read more

My family and I just moved to Natomas (July 28, 2018) and we decided to try different restaurants in our new community. I was very disappointed that my only two visits within two weeks of each other both resulted with HAIR in our food (Tri-tip sandwich and build your own salad). At my first experience, I spoke with the manager and suggested she & her employees wear hair nets. She proceeded to tell me "we are not required by law to wear hair nets." That's beside the point manager, hair in food is unsanitary and I don't like eating other people's hair. At my second experience with hair in my food (8/10/18), at this same restaurant, I spoke to the manager, showed him and another employee the hair mixed in my salad. I also explained my same experience just two weeks prior and what the other manager said about hair nets. He apologized, refunded my money and seemed to defend their kitchen environment where the employees prepare food with no hair nets. We will not have a third "hairy" experience because we will never eat there again. Discovering hair in my food is a nauseating experience and just thinking about it makes me want to barf. I'm glad I look at my food before putting it in my mouth. My son was shocked at this experience (hair in tri-tip) because he works at Chevys and they wear hair nets. When I was a teen my first job was working at Del Taco. We were required to wear hair nets or we did not walk in the kitchen. I spoke to two managers at this establishment about their employees wearing hair nets, This seems like it should be a regulated practice. Obviously, it's not their practice. Their traditional plates are mostly American foods, such as sandwiches, fries, salads and other traditional plates like rusted oven turkey, mash potatoes, veggies and more. I like Jack's, I really do but they are just to expensive. Also this location, since I work in the area is always super duper busy around lunch time which is a great sign but at the same time sucks because I usually go over my allotted lunch hour to eat there. The food is alright; the salads are fresh and big and made to order. The sandwiches are okay, nothing too spectacular in my book, most of the time they are just to difficult to eat (I know a weird complaint). I love the garlic fries and the various mashed potatoes, yummy! I gave them an extra star just for those items. The service is quick, I give them that. The times I have been there the servers have been friendly. Good place but make sure you realize that you are going to be paying somewhere between 9/12 bucks for a salad. read more

Been a long time Jacks customer and this location can learn a few things from Lohman's plaza location. Things have changed up a lot at this location and not for the better! They need to check the quality of the food as well as look into getting a friendlier staff. The guy that chopped the meat up was super cool but everyone else in the lineup didn't care to even be there. The cashier was a robot with no emotion and the way they gave us our food was like "here you go I hate my job, thanks bye" I've been coming to this location over 5 years and always say to myself they might get it right next time. This place is horrible! The food is great when they get it right but 75% of the time they miss something. They can't even get there normal plates down right. As I'm typing this I'm furious because for the 10th+ time they have forgotten something on my steak salad. UPDATE: after 3 months of not going here I decided to go in today after work... I got the steak salad with feta cheese and onion rings. Well the salad was missing the feta and onion rings(the weren't busy). This place is a joke!!!
