I've left a similar review before but this place did not accept my bf who is of age and the establishment would not tell me why. when we asked to speak to the owner they said they were busy with other things after denying him entry. this is absolutely absurd that this has happened twice and i actually will never be coming here again. there is no reason why this establishment should not accept a valid ID in Denver, and this is actually so disappointing. i do not advise anyone from out of state to come here because there is a 90-10% ratio that they will let you in. First stop for my co-workers bachelorette ballpark district bar-crawl: Jackson's. PRO: It just so happened that the night we were there was ladies night. Coincidence? I think not. Ha! CON: Ladies night means that place is PACKED to the brim. So if you're not into crowds you probably want to steer clear. PRO: Bartenders have always been on point during my visits. In this case I'm sure it was due to being ladies night. CON: None! PRO: Location is key! Not only is Jackson's right across from Coors Field, but it boasts great views of downtown from it's rooftop! CON: Having such a prime location near the ballpark means post-game gets super packed! Be prepared for standing room only and longer than the usual wait times. While Jackson's is not really my bar-of-choice, I can easily say it's decent enough and I'm sure I'll make my way back during another ballpark district bar crawl in the near future. read more

I'm sure it is a great place for catch a pregame beer or post game beer after the Rockies game, but food here is subpar. Went on a Saturday afternoon and had the wings and nachos. Wings were bland and chewy, nachos were standard with no kick. This place charges an extra $3 for guac, $2 for salsa, and $1 for sour cream (all in a small Dixie cup size) if your server asks you if you want it with the nachos. Even for the $6, nothing could save the blandness of the nachos, but a heads up for those charges would have been nice to know. read more

Wow! What a great experience we just had at Jackson's Lodo. What a fun place! One of the highlights was our rockstar waiter Christian. He was very friendly and super helpful. We couldn't decide on what beer to order. He suggested a Leinenkugel, and he totally hit the mark. Thanks, guy! I always tell my hubby that a good waiter really makes the experience. Ladies night offers free drinks with a small cover charge-- was only $5! This place is packing and the second floor patio rocked the boat! I had a glorious time with my boyfriend, his two cousins, his friends and the night felt young. The crowd was very easygoing, NO DRAMA. WOOHOOO. The bar was also sweet, lots of cool bartenders, lots of friendly people to meet. There was a poppin' dj, the Tequila Sunrise is a wonderful drink to get here. It's a girly drink for sure. NO. Just kidding. Everyone who's anyone should get it. The dance floor isn't so big, but it was also a pleasant experience. It didn't get crazy and obnoxiously hot, which is a plus. There is a bar and seat in at the first floor of Jackson's. Don't take the elevator because it's not a accessibility and literally the security guard will make a cut-throat hand gesture to tell you no-- boo. The whole night here was worth it, and I have been bragging to my friends to plan a night here. This is wonderful for bachelor's night, a date night, a club night with friends. There is also a fire pit in the middle and lots of people were seen firing up their cigs here and using the tables to drink. It's a breeze and perfect for summer nights. read more

When I walk into a place and it smells like 150 people are all simultaneously passing gas, you lose a star. Literally smelled like rotten eggs throughout the whole bar. But we sat down anyway to catch the second half of a football game. Someone came up to us when they saw us aimlessly wandering around looking for the game we wanted to watch and he told us to have a seat and changed the channel on a tv for us, that was nice. Our server was actually really friendly which is surprising since it was a Sunday afternoon and we weren't ordering tons of booze. He was attentive the whole time and refilled my coke every time it got close to empty. There were $1 mimosa's from 10am-2pm but they extended the deal to all day while we were sitting there. There was also a special for $4 pitchers of Coors Light. Since the Broncos were playing at home they had a free shuttle for all the patrons which seemed to leave every 15 minutes or so. The "DJ" also kept advertising their bloody marys. They sounded like the most disgusting thing ever. 5 shots of vodka, a celery stick, a skewer of bacon and a hard boiled egg thrown in for good measure (WAS THAT THE SMELL?!). We also ordered the nachos with chicken which were okay, but REALLY overpriced ($11.98). They were the type of nachos where all the toppings are stuck to the 10 chips at the top of the plate and then all the chips underneath are left naked and dry. There was maybe 2 tablespoons worth of beans, a few jalapenos, 5 or 6 olive slices, some tomato and green onion, and 2 tablespoons each of guac and sour cream. Perfect sports bar (especially for a Steelers fan)! There are TVs everywhere, three rooms (the back room dedicated to Steelers games making it a haven for any Western PA transplant), skee ball and an outdoor patio. The staff has always been friendly and attentive in my experience even during busy sports days. They usually have good drink specials (domestic pitchers for $10 or Agave Wheat drafts for $4). Just say no to the Chicken Burrito! Our service was good. Our server even moved us to a booth which wasn't really in her section but had less wind than the rest of the patio and turned on the heat lamp for us. The fried pickles were an experience. Weird. Wouldn't say I'd necessarily order them again. But, they were amusing. The Chicken Burrito looked fantastic! Couldn't wait to delve into that bad boy. But, sadly, it was terrible. It was about 80% extremely bland refried beans. The chicken was way too dry, although it tasted like it had soaked in jalapeno juice all day. I can't believe that nobody has written a review of this place. This is my favorite place to go before/after a Rockies game. They have excellent food, great servers, and the drinks are fantastic. Everything's very affordable and they always have a wide selection of sports to watch on the televisions. When my husband and I couldn't get tickets to the Rockies' World Series games a couple years ago we went to Jackson's instead. It was a full on party there! Excellent sports bar and restaurant!
